Nice level.
Okay lets start out with an 10.
1.Too many enemies. -1.7
2.Strange placment of carrots. Example: The first part there are almost no carrots, in the middle there are way too many carrots, and in the end too less carrots.-1
3. Stuff taken out of the original levels of Jazz Jackrabbit 2.-2
4. And now a plus point: it is orginal, it not gets too boring. The level is long and is not gets boring. And thats is realy good. +1
So that makes a 6.7.
This review was submitted before the level was uploaded. I hope the level will be a good one. :)
Edit: Actual review:
First of all, you didn’t include the tileset, and the level is actually TSF/1.24. Oh, and some tile bugs.
Anyway, the level is a longish level with nothing very new or interesting in it. There are quite a few suckers and rats, as well as other stuff, and some tubes, but nothing all that interesting. Eyecandy’s standard. I’m tired.
What interests me more, really, is that this uses a tileset from “our” community. Oh well.[This review has been edited by Violet CLM]
Since im so lazy, ill just make one comment on each section of the review.
Eyecadny:
Basically what you expect, not to good not to bad, around average.
Enemy placement: 5/10 Not horrible, but to many enemies in one spot, make it easier for SPaz.
Tile Placement:
Some parts were really bad, some parts were ok, but mostly they were not to bad.
Diffuclty: twas easy, even though the enemies were overused. The carrots were plentiful in some parts, and the enemies werent just placed difficultly. I think some levels were spaz biased.
*Small note: The boss were area 2 (Bubba) seems to jump through the top of the walls and out of the game. This could easily be fixed, and deducts a few marks.
Pickups: Mostly overused in areas, and occasionally underused in others.
My favourite levels were probably the spacey universe ones, because the tile placmeent was usually decent, and because i am addicted to the set. Although the backrounds werent warped, and the enemy placement was awful (to many clunched up enemies) That, and i got stuck somewhere in a suckertube in the second level.
OVERALL: Some nice levels in there. Not to good of a pack, but an improvement. Keep trying!
This was a decent level pack. The eye candy was OK, but there are often too many enemies in one spot. I couldn’t get past the 6th level…bleck. Possible download.
Cool… I think the eyecandy is very good and all the obtackles are very original.[This review has been edited by snorky]
Omg lol I am going to try Flash’s bug off. ;P

…You fooled us :P
I don’t know. This is like 3DBattle, but with Hand-drawn graphics. Graphics are very nice, but the tileset’s usability is zero. You’re walking through a beautiful, yet kinda messy, “greenland” with weird masking. Too bad you can’t make levels very different from the example level with this. This would have been a 7/8 or higher when you seperated paltforms and background
EDIT: Please upload the tilesets you gave us screenshots of :)[This review has been edited by Fl@$h aka BlewMeUp]
Excellent.
(Rating removal. Please provide a better reason for giving such a rating. Not to mention that I think you rated this before it was even posted. If that is the case, do not do this again. -Trafton)[This review has been edited by Trafton AT]
Maybe I downloaded another tileset as the other reviewers, but the one I reviewed doesn’t deserve a 7.0 or even 8.2. The tileset is made of square grey blocks with pictures on it, and a few tiles of eyecandy. The masking isn’t good as well. There are absolutely NO diagonal tiles/slopes, which makes it almost impossible to make a good level with it, and the background also looks pretty dull, altough it works in textured mode in a weird way. Another major setback is the lack of “needed basic tiles”, such as the poles, vines, hurts, tubes, destruct and destruct blocks.
This tileset may bring back memories and feelings of nostalgia of players of this old windows game, but that shouldn’t be a reason to overrate it. The tileset is boring, and very hard to use when you’re trying to create a level. Not because the tiles don’t fit together, but because there aren’t enough useful tiles, such as the needed poles and vines and slopes. Don’t download this, except when you want to get the “feeling of nostalgia” described by others. For some reason I didn’t get that feeling, but that may be because I never played the original game.
It realy gives me that Africa feeling!
I do realy love Diamondus levels!
Now about the level itself.
1. Lots of fun. +3
2. Get’s not boring+3
3. Good eyecandy +2
4. +1 because I do like Mistic Legend levels and Diamondus is my faforit titleset.
Jeh, Jeh you have realy done your best on this one…
I like it, it is cool.
The eyecandy dit out very well.
The gamplay is also good.
If you want to shoot your friend or something, download this!
TSF. Don’t make levels in TSF make them in 1.23
Some great new ideas and very good eye candy. It gets a little hard near the end but this is one of the coolest packs ever. You should really download it right away![This review has been edited by Sun Fun Dude]
Ok, this tileset has not been reviewed or rated sensibly yet, so I guess I can do that.
Waz11 is a castle/factory mix. The walls are mostly green/blue/purple bricks in fun shapes, and there are a lot of pillars. There are also techy platforms, firey animation pillars (could use better masking), and a background consisting of bricks and pipes. So I’m not sure what the theme is.
The graphics, what there are of them, are ok. I like the crate, for example, though it doesn’t attach itself to the ground very well. The whole tileset looks like it’s done with just the sprite colors, but there’s nothing wrong with that.
However, even if you make TSF levels, I can’t think of too many reasons to use this, as it doesn’t seem to have anything new or different. Indeed, most of it can be found in an earlier tileset of Waz that I forgot the name of.[This review has been edited by Bobby aka Dizzy]
Black Ninja?
Whats ya email?
euh…..how dus an anticrash works?
Since I’m short on time, I will use BlurredD’s reviewing method.
This pack suffers from not having any standout interesting aspects. Sure, overall, it’s a solid pack, but there just is not anything to keep me playing it. Play gets tedious quick, which is unfortunate, but these levels all do give me a nice dose of nostolgia. On to the review.
Just Your Typical Level
GAMEPLAY: First of all, this level has no border at the top, which is flag bug waiting to happen. Overall, the flow of this level is not anything special. The use of springs was interesting but overall not very well done. I can’t say that this is exactly as good as I remembered it.
EYE CANDY: Eyecandy was pretty well-done. This tileset does not allow for much in the way of ultra-amazing eyecandy, but what is there is well-done.
CARROT PLACEMENT: I could not find any carrots.
AMMO PLACEMENT: There wasn’t all that much ammo, but what was there was still placed. Still, I can’t believe that people still release levels containing TNT. IT DOESN’T WORK. INCLUDING IT A LOT WILL NOT MAKE IT WORK. ;P
HOST THIS OFTEN? Maybe once or twice. It just doesn’t have anything to keep me interested more than five minutes.
Non-Union Computer Store
GAMEPLAY: Above average. The balance between the two teams was alright, as well, and flow wasn’t bad indeed. In fact, this was a low better flow-wise than the previous.
EYE CANDY: Interesting use of lighting, which comes out as too dark for this level. Otherwise, eyecandy wasn’t that bad.
CARROT PLACEMENT: Unlike the previous level, this level has way too many carrots, and they are not placed very well, in addition.
AMMO PLACEMENT: Yet again, decent, but this level also has TNT.
HOST THIS OFTEN? Yet again, maybe once or twice. There simply are not many reasons to host this level, though. It is not interesting enough.
LabLocked
GAMEPLAY: Flow is alright, but the balance between the two teams is too slanted. Could use work.
EYE CANDY: Nothing much interesting. Some of the level looked off, which is disappointing, but it reminded me of the eyecandy of the day. Still, during these days, this eyecandy just doesn’t cut it.
CARROT PLACEMENT: Yet again, there are too many carrots in this level, all of which seem to be placed at random.
AMMO PLACEMENT: Fair enough. Probably the best part of this level.
HOST THIS OFTEN? No. This is probably by far my least level in the pack. Unlike the other levels, this not only does not provide any interesting reason to host it, this level just is flawed in many ways. I might host it once, for nostolgia purposes.
Stupid CTF
GAMEPLAY: Gameplay on this level is more or less simplistic. Still, this is not necessarily a bad thing. Flow was generally good, but there was nothing amazing.
EYE CANDY: Definitely different than the other levels here, possibly because of the moving layer. Still, there wasn’t anything extremely amazing in this level.
CARROT PLACEMENT: I could not find any carrots.
AMMO PLACEMENT: This level lacks powerups that I can see, but basic ammo placement is very well done.
HOST THIS OFTEN? Occasionally. This is probably my favorite level in the pack, but it still is not anything amazing.
Conclusion
This pack is alright. It does not provide any levels that are interesting or notable in any way, but it is a good one-time play to remind you of Capture the Flag levels of yesteryear. Don’t expect, however, to stay interested for more than ten minutes, as this level pack provides no reason to be so. Still, it is overall not a bad pack and worth a download for CTF freaks like me.
