I think most reviewers here has written completely messed up reviews and they also give way too high ratings if you compare it with what they say but since I’m in no position to stop that I’ll just have to shut up and write my own UN-BIASED :-P review…
Right. Shaped Wonders is, as Umba mentioned, his first J2o release. It’s in no way a smash hit although it has some very impressive points. First of all, the music choice fits the lvl perfectly and it adds to the…how should I say this…“spirit” of the lvl. ;-D
The ambient lighting is also cool and it makes the lvl look nicer. Also, Shaped Wonder boosts some pretty eyecandy without making it too confusing although I would prefer a little less blue and a little more red. I also prefer this lvl to have at least some foreground layer eyecandy (with the exception of those large moving tubes). Btw, there is way too little of the eyecandy, Umba.
Weapons placement is fairly good. Nothing special here. The ammo is placed sensibly although there are too little in some places and too much in others. Your future lvls should be more balanced, Umba.
Now, most of the previously mentioned things are good points of Shaped Wonders. The gameplay is good too, of course, but it has some pretty bad and weak places too. First of all, there are two dead ends in the lvl. Umbaman didn’t want to change those cause they’re so small but if you look carefully, you can’t see the dead ends while running so when you do see them, it’s too late and some berserking rookie jazzer blasts you into a couple zillion pieces. The springs and one ways are well placed though and there are a couple nice secrets.
Shaped Wonders is a really good lvl by Umbaman and every decent jazzer should take a good look at it. The major problem here is the deadends and the lack of eyecandy.
I’ll give this lvl a 7.5 and a download recommendation.
Cheers,
White Rabbit.
EDIT: Hah! I got the longest review. :-P[This review has been edited by White Rabbit]
well a nice lvl snd first but only a bad backround and some bad place’s
you have make a nice eyecandy
the music by the lvl (i luve) =)
and by all that stars was a good idea!
i give a 7 by 007 bt no over th 100x :P:P:P
First of all, Im not going to give you a extra high rating because your my friend, but this is definately worth a 8.
Ok, i think most of the people who downloaded this might know why it is called ‘Shaped’ Wonders, well take a good look at the lvl. If you really look good around im sure you will see this level is pretty different then all other levels on j2o. You see strange shaped tiles or ground. Well personally I dont like that so much ;P But since this is totally something els then as usuall It gets a ok rating from me. Anyway I wont mess much around with the rating because its one of your first levels, so, eat the 8! Download Recommendation and Well done.

Yes, the level is hidden in homecock level list, but I’d just opended it in JCS instead of wait on a reupload.
The level is lazy, the eyecandy is okay, whitch does 3 points of my rating.
The gameplay is really boring, there’s only a little story, that dosen’t give much point than play the level in 2 secs then move along to beat Devan another time.
Another thing with the story line is it’s wierd, jazz lives on the castle, in the end intro you see him getting marrid with Eva whitch does him to king Jazz.
Choose things is importnant when building a story line about jazz jackrabbit.
I’ve been nice giving this a 4 instead of a 3.5.
I cannot find your level in the Home Cooked Levels list!
Please re-upload your level without having the sign checked ‘‘Hide level in home cooked levels list’‘.
A very “cute” tileset. Small Farm by the still pretty unknown tileset creator Pavlik isn’t exactly a great tileset but then, it isn’t bad either.
The tiles has got really nice textures and everything looks just fine. The animations are also of high quality and I especially like those spikes.
The eyecandy is also quite good too. Calm, blue sky. A wagon? A green bunny, doors, chairs, tables, leafes and lots of green grass.
The tileset has also got most of the needed tiles in a tileset. There are vines, destruct and trigger blox. However, there are no poles or buttstomp blox although you could use layer 5 to create poles and use the destruct blox as buttstomp ones.
Although most parts of the tileset is fairly satisfying, there are, of course bad points. Small Farm has a TERRIBLE masking. The ground looks really ugly when you switch to Masks and the vines is goes kinda up-and-down. Also, the spikes doesn’t work. You get hurt wether you touch the spikes or not which is a big shame.
Small Farm is a small, nice tileset with lots of useful tiles but with bad masking. I think I can recommend this tileset to most lvl creators out there.
Nxt time, Pavlik try making the masking better. If you had fixed this problem, I would’ve given you a much higher rating.
I give Small Farm a 6.7.
Cheers,
White Rabbit.
Actually, Taz, a lot of ppl upload lvl’s for other ppl. Like Unhit and me. There’s nothing wrong with that. :-P
Now to the review:
Argh! Super Carrotus Battle is horrible. Horrible. Absolutely horrible.
The lvl has got NO eyecandy whatsoever.
None of the weapons regenerate.
The gameplay is really horrific. Too many dead ends and ugly looking platforms.
Seriously, I don’t even think this lvl is suitable for battle at all. It looks really ugly and also it’s got too much empty space.
Super Carrottus Battle is THE perfect example of a three-minutes-of-work-level.
Download if you want, but it’s definitely not worth it. I’m afraid I’ll have to give this a measly little 2 for this.
Cheers,
White Rabbit.
Hmm… it won’t even work on my comp.
when i press the ‘start’ button, it say ‘failed to open process. JJ2 was probably closed’ then it returns to the prog again.
i rate it N/A, because i can’t see, how it works…
Whoopee!
Another version!:)
About the level:
It got bigger.Eyecandy was improved.
There’s more variation.
But the flaws of the former version weren’t removed. There are still bad walls, and the holes in the trees are still in front of you! There’s an extra tile to put in front of the holes,007!
Eyecandy is important!
Still nice level,I give a 7.5.
Woot! Second version of Forest Night <->
I lik it. This is the newest version of it, but the only what you do is make more space. No better eyecandy, weapon placement, etc.
It’s a nice level using the Forest of Wonders tileset by Piccolo. All can better, but it’s ok. Nice text strings. I LUV ALIANS! WOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOO! And the are some kewl aliens.
I give this a big, fat, tall 7.2.
I like it but the the tile set .. i just cant seem to use it! But i love it!!
-ÐrÃkË ><MActually, it’s only for Previously unreleased levels. As long as the author sent this level to stripe before putting it on J2O, he/she is fine. :P
Fine as in it counts. I somehow doubt this will win the contest. It’s a small CTF level with a nonworking textured background, and some rain from BlurredD’s castle2 tileset falling down in the background. (Did I add the palette is messed up?)
Ok, enough of the tileset. The level is just a bunch of weird platforms. I could be wrong, also not having played in this, but it looks tricky to move around in.
Actually, I can’t find too much to say about this level.
Not exactly I would call crap. These maps have preety sharp design and the readme that comes with the levels offers descriptions and spoiliers to help newbs.
One of the maps sets you off in a dungeon with multiple ways to the bases includeing a water route it is also symetrical evening out the bases. Item placement is nifty to.
The next map the placement of items is good. There are a few deadends but they are short and offers goodies and makes you make sure there is no one following you. The lighting in this level made it run slow on my computer but its very playable. These maps also require teamwork if you don’t want a solo dude sneaking in your base and out with the flag. Ppl on defence offence middle etc.
sorry but this is bad lvls…
LevelI
a call for help only a house and text no eyecandy and you must run and you fall…there is no next lvl
Level II
the next day
oke what better but you can fall AGAIN no next lvl…and only text..and a blue backround no eyecandy (again)[/b
Level III
Devan!!!
only the endboss and tileset by blablabla…and again no eyecandy[/blue
the music
why this music ?? its for a race
BTW….this is no single lvl only a stupid story make a real single lvl with enemies and more than 4 lvls make a VERRY VERRY better eyecandy (like layer7,6)
make food (DUH) fire and that events
puzzles…and a good single player tileset find a good music
over the lvls i gibe for the lvls a 2.5

Aw, about that shaking room, it is very easy to go out. You only need to know how: There are no winds at the exit, so you can actually stand within the area of 5×4 tiles without moving to places, so you can easely exit the place. But just dont hit the springs ;P
HEY… not bad. very nice level, with all that a Hotel Need!!
This is a FiveGoldenStar Hotel.
The Way it is builded is COOL i really like the Rollercoaster!! but the ‘‘Shake’‘ is VERY bad, if you ask me!! you almost can’t stear youself (guess that isn’t a bug…) and at the Exit there is Springs that push you away… but that is the only bad thing i see in this hotel… no, i have 1 more: I DON’T HAVE A ROOM!!!! cries like a baby … but the other rooms is very good. still sniffing . The start is also good, when enter the hotel, you can’t get out… very nice. but the elevator in the start doesn’t work.
overall a 9.2 from me to this exellent Hotel.[This review has been edited by Snowball][This review has been edited by Snowball]

Edit
