ABOUT:

Ocean of Acid is an excerpt from my work in progress, Devan's Secret
Weapon, a single player episode I am creating.
I have had the idea for DSW since shortly after I got Jazz2 (when it came
out), and it has been in the works longer than
my Race Tournament Pack, but has been put on hold for that pack, and other
work. The level Electric Nightmare, which has already
been released, was to be a part of it, and will be seen in the final in a
revamped version. Devan's Secret Weapon is expected to
be finished in a year or so, but I don't work well under deadlines. It will
be out when it is finished. :P

Anyway, since the release of DSW is so far away, I am releasing this level
to whet your appetites and let you know that
I am not dead in the level making scene. Ocean of Acid is so far the best
single player level I have made, I hope you enjoy it.

A few original features of DSW can be seen in this level, such as the Speed
Zone, and the Lost Level. Find and buttstomp all four
of the metal crates to gain access to the speed zone, an original creation
of mine. (And it took awhile to get it right). Collect all
thirty coins, and you will be taken to a 'secret' level. All of the secret
levels in DSW are unreleased old sp levels of mine,
it is kind of like my 'lost levels'. They were never finished, and for
history's sake I have tried to avoid editing them too much.
These levels will not be up to my standards today, and therefore should not
be rated as they would negatively effect the rating of the
pack. Keep in mind that they are thrown in as a bonus! Something extra
should not detract from the episode. Anyway, one such 'lost level'
can be found in Ocean of Acid.

That is all there is to know, enjoy!
Oh yeah, and play the level in hard mode. Unless you're chicken!

ALSO BY AJ2F:

Race Tournament Pack - My pack of 10 race levels, which use MEZ tilesets.
All are original and creative. Give it a try!
(Although I still need to come out with a patch to some problems in it...
maybe sometime in the future :P )

Capture Land - My first tileset. It was made in Paint, and basically I made
it to teach myself how to make tilesets.

Astrolumina - My second tileset, also made in Paint. This one is much
cooler than Capture Land.

Star Base Lumina 25 - A level that uses Astrolumina tileset. It also
includes an updated version of the set. The level is very linear
and not as good as the levels I am making now, but it is fun nonetheless.

Short-Fused - My contribution to Gameplay Theory, by Future of Leveldesign.
Personally I think I made this too big for a good battle.

Electric Nightmare - In its time it was a great level, and it was sent to
Onag's TryMeComp, and was 7th on the J2C top 100 list.
It is nowhere near my standards today, and that is why it will be updated
majorly before appearing in DSW.

There is also some older stuff that was on J2C, but nothing worth
mentioning. Okay, I'll mention them anyway. Jazz Industry, which
uses a Jazz1 tileset so it doesn't look very good, and while it is creative
it is not all that good. Then there are a few battle levels
which pretty much suck, like Jazzin' 3D and DeathMaze. And my first ever
level, which I never want to see again, Roadkill. (Even the sky was messed
up).

Coming Soon:

(Well, not very soon, but you know what I mean)

contributing three levels to it.

For more info on either of these, see my post on the JCS forum of the JCF.
(Something like "What I'm working on". Nobody ever replied to it :( )
