[A Generic Single Player Level made by Blackraptor]

First of all, thank you for downloading this archive
and reading this generic text file. This level would
not have been possible in its current form without
the support of Violet CLM and Salamander. The final
boss of this standalone map is entirely designed by
Salamander and any lines of script that is not mine
is credited within the angelscript (.j2as) file.

This is a remake of a 2006 release standalone map
which currently has around a thousand downloads and
received favourable reviews. It was originally my
biggest map ever and the first map I made in the
1.24 version of JJ2 due to its sheer size and memory
restrictions of 1.23 at the time. However, I feel it
hasn't aged all that well and could benefit from
being modernized to the current state of the game
and my improved levelmaking abilities. This is in
continuation of my 10 year anniversarry remake
tradition started by Pinball Arena 2k5/2k15.

The current version of this standalone single player
campaign is likely the largest playable map in the
history of the game, coming in at just under 300kb.
This would not have been possible to make a decade
ago before the community patch was released. As a
result, the latest JJ2+ version is NECESSARY to play
this map. You can download it from:

This map uses difficulty modifiers and is playable
with all 3 characters, although Lori is a bit tricky
and requires the knowledge of the "Golden jump"
technique, which is done by tapping the Shift/run
key until the leg spinning animation kicks in and
then holding it for greater height. This is because
she can't normally jump as high as Jazz/Spaz.

The entirety of this level was made over a couple
months at the end of summer '16. Betatesting took
another month because of the sheer size of the map
and the amount of bugs (mostly eyecandy) that I
would continue to find even after running multiple
passes over the entire map. Looking back, I feel
like playing the map and stamping out all the bugs
was a more time consuming process than actually
building it.

Finally, a lot of resources were involved in making
this. The Xargon tileset was originally converted
to JJ2 by Spaztic, I used it as a base and added
a myriad of tiles to it to suit my needs. Some of
them are from Xargon that were missing in the
original conversion. Most of them came from other
Jazz Jackrabbit tilesets, a few I edited together
myself. The vending machine and computer tiles were
taken from LMAT: Aftermath (I don't know who drew
them originally since many artists were involved
in the creation of that tileset). The skull was
ripped from Hocus Pocus indirectly, since I copied
it from another JJ2 tileset. The eye of the Crimson
King and the Skinwalker were found via google images.

The Aquatic Ambience Remix (originally from Donkey
Kong) was done by iSometimesWriteMusic(iSWM).

Terrible Fate (originally from Majoras Mask) was
remixed by Theophany on the Time's End album. You
can find the album and the rest of the credits here
http://www.terriblefate.com/
It's a free album and quite good!

Neve's Crossing (neve.s3m) was composed by Alexander
Brandon.

Le Gran Luxe (the boss theme) is by Yoshitaka Hirota.

Dying City is by Jhann Jhannsson
(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2eW8vm42-g)

The composers of Boggly Woods are Yoshito Hirano,
Yuka Tsujiyoko, and Saki Haruyama. Thanks to whoever
used it in their JJ2 map since it's how it found its
way to me.

1405.mp3 was taken from a long abandoned RPG Maker
project I was once working on. I have no idea who the
original author is, unfortunately.

There were a lot of betatesters whom gave me feedback
and criticism that improved this level and also its
predecessor, the original Generic Single Player Level.
Thank you for your support, you know who you are.
