LORELANDS - VISIONS OF THE PAST
I built this one using old
materials from unreleased / unfinished musics
I started long ago. As an
attempt to make them a worthy module, I merged
different parts from my
past picking 2 old modules nicknamed "Purple
Song" and "Sad Angel".
"Purple Song" was a 4 Amiga MED song started
around 1995 and "Sad
Angel", from 2005, was an attempt to make
another "Angel" song
after "An Angel Is Flying Over The Clouds"
that I made in 2000.
If
you want to know, orders 00 to 12 come from "Sad Angel",
orders 14 to
31 come from "Purple Song".
The remaining ones from 33 till the
end are the new ones.
Of course, there was a lot of rework and
enhancements through
many arrangements and samples/instruments
preparation. I also tried to
get some acceptable dynamics to make music
more alive, more emotional.
I did not want to develop too much this
module for keeping a "small"
play length and make a "fast" release. But
I can't help adding things
here and there, arranging, modifying and
feeling editing never ends ...
At some point I have to let it go and
finish what I already got.
I spent the last weeks polishing arrangements
and samples.
Actually, I planned to switch to MPTM for more 16-bit stereo
samples but
it did not change that much of the overall sounding to my
hears. Maybe
because I already work with multiple pairs of dual
channels L-R as I
am used to do. Perhaps next time I'll try working
mono using stereo
samples ... We'll see.
So in the end, I've kept the
form of standard IT.
Considering I took this work back in december 2021
... 2 years later for
some 5 minutes of music is not bad for that Sphenx's
scale of time !
I hope you'll appreciate it
!
