Electronic Trouble Readme

Now here it is: my new level
It uses the Tube electric tileset from epic and music from TIMM. I hope you
enjoy playing.
Here is a short readme with the things you have to know...

Electronic Trouble also can be played online if you have a Co-Op patch,
but it is original optimized for SP/Co-Op mode on a single computer.

So, if you want to discover the game on your own, this short readme must be
ok,
for the others who hate if they are being in big trouble
and don't know what to do, just send me a mail on
masterofdesasterpht@gmx.de.

At least thanks to all those Jazz2 fans all around the world who made it
possible to do that.

Installation

To run the game you must have installed DirectX 5.0 or higher and Jazz
Jackrabbit 2 Version 1.20 or higher on your computer.
If you don't have DirectX 5.0 or higher then install it from The Jazz2 CD.
More infos in the section 'Install DirectX'.

Installation on MS-DOS

You can't install Electronic Trouble on MS-DOS because Jazz2 (ET needs to
run) is a windows game.

Installation on Windows 95, Windows 98 or Windows NT 4.0

Click on the files, hold down the LEFT mouse button and drag them into the
folder you installed Jazz2.

Install DirectX

To install DirectX just put in the Jazz2 CD,
install Jazz2 and click on 'Yes' if the computer asks you if you want to
install DirectX 5.0.

Start The Game

If you have installed Jazz2 with the autorun feature then put in the CD and
a menu with a 'Play' function will come up.
This menu always comes up if you put the Jazz2 CD in your Disk Drive. Just
click on 'play' to start the game.

Warning

Don't delete one of the files that came with the pack or Electronic Trouble
won't work correct.

Hint

If you have technical problems or questions to the Gameplay of Electronic
Trouble,
then contact me on masterofdesasterpht@gmx.de.

The Game Starts

Before you start Electronic Trouble, you must put in the Jazz2 CD in your
disk drive.
After you've done this, the game starts automatically, if you have
installed Jazz2 with the autorun feature.
If you have deactivated the autorun feature,
then just double click on the CD-Rom symbol in 'My Computer' or 'Windows
Explorer' or something like that.

After the start of the game at first there is the intro screen with the
Jazz2 Logo.
After you pressed 'Return' once you will see the main menu.

Something to the Controls

You play the game with the keyboard. If you press Esc while the game is
running you'll come into the save and load menu.
If you done all the things right then you see the main screen now.

On the top right side of your screen you see five hearts. That are your
live points.
Every time you touch a bad guy or something spiky you loose some of your
heart points.
If you have lost all your energy (that means you have 0 heart points) you
loose a life,
if you lost all your lifes you lost the game. Easy, isn't it.
But you can also add life points/heart points/energy (that's all the same)
if you lost any.
You can do this when you eat carrots. If you've choosen difficulty grade
easy maybe there are some more of them.
With grade normal there are a bit less of them. If you've choosen Hard then
there are also more baddys to kill you.

On the top left side you see some 0's. That means, you have 0 points.
If you kill some baddys or something like that you get some points.
If you have a good score then maybe you can enter your name in the high
scores at the end of the game.

On the bottom left you see Jazz' or Spaz' face, or maybe Lori's if you have
TSF with a 3. That means you have 3 lifes.
If you lost all 3 lives the game is over. If you want to have more lives
then look out.
Maybe I was nice and gave out some extra lives. How you can loose lifes?
Look above.

At least on the bottom right you see the picture of a gun.
Here you can look which weapon you are using and how much ammo you have for
this weapon.
To pick up ammo, just go over it and you will have it.
To change the weapon press RETURN or the keys 1-9 for a specific weapon.

1 = Blaster
2 = Blue Bullet Bouncer
3 = Frost Biter
4 = Seeker
5 = RF Missiles
6 = Toaster
7 = TNT
8 = Pepperspray
9 = Electro Blaster

You can also power up your gun. To do this find a screen with the picture
of a gun and destroy it.
Your weapon will be much better.
Sometimes if you kill a baddy he will give you something like diamonds,
carrots or fast fire guns.
If you have very much of those fast fire guns most of the guns will shoot
faster.

To Win The Game

To solve my level you must do multiple things and pass obstacles.
I could write down what you have to do but then playing would be boring.
If you really want to know, email me on masterofdesasterpht@gmx.de
