I was putzing around on the Internet, and I found This article on Alienwarearena.com, dated January 30th 2013, about our favorite mean green hare. Dunno if anybody’s already seen/posted it already, but I thought I’d pass it along anyway. They mentioned J2O too, which I thought that was pretty cool.

The Dutch technology website Tweakers.net has travelled all the way to Silicon Valley to interview Arjan Brussee (that’s the guy who came up with Jazz). Arjan, originally a Dutchie, now works at Electronic Arts in Silicon Valley.
Tweakers.net has posted a 15-minute video report in which they talk about Arjan’s successful career, and of course the various games he has created. There is a fair amount of footage of both Jazz Jackrabbit 1 and 2.
Arjan talks about Jazz’s success story, explaining in depth how Jazz Jackrabbit 1 was distributed at that time.
“People could buy the demo version on disk in a local store. But if they would like to get the full version, in the USA, they would have to call a 1-800 phone number and some family member of Tim Sweeney would get you the disk to send it to you personally.”
The full video (in Dutch) can be viewed on Tweakers.net

The Sonic series has a new character named Zazz, but it looks like the opportunity to riff off of Zoonik has been lost.

In 2006 A handheld was released called the VG POCKET CABLET which included 50 games!
What has this to do with Jazzjackrabbit? Nothing with the exception that one of the games called ‘‘Adventures of Walldog’‘ has graphics ripped from Carrotus.
Just something cool I found on youtube. Watch the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=DGjGRb8Z-Jk#t=264s
Hello!I decided to make my own game with Jazz Jackrabbit. The game is like an space shooter(they`re in space)and shooting enemies from the game. You can play with joystick in the 2 player mode.I have basic programming skills and the game has bugs.To go to next level, you must find a door that flies in the level(Really stupid idea). It works really awesome with joystick.I edited the original Jazz Jackrabbit 1 music and made it really awesome.I don`t know when I will upoad it to jazz 2 online.Using original jazz 2 sprites, hacked using the program Jazz Sprite Dynamite.Sorry for my BAD English,I am from Bulgaria. Thanks for reading!

During 1998, Jazz Jackrabbit was a 4 year old when his new game has released with the name Jazz Jackrabbit 2. For now, I am presenting a new and a more powerful level – the 1998 Zone. In the city, Jazz Jackrabbit finds Eva – and rescues Diamondus to go his home! Coming March 25 instead of Z-Zone on Jazz2Online.

I am here to introduce the futuristic levels in one level and we are here to introduce the download coming March 26 – the Z-Zone. It’s a walkthrough about fifteen levels (depending 4 days and 3 nights, at the rocket break without sleeping). It’s only accepted with Jazz or Spaz – because Lori can’t learn all stuff that Jazz and Spaz can do. No TSF allowed for this level (I have for the good work of JCS). Simply download it on 2Shared tomorrow, or wait to come to Jazz2Online!

Here’s a game I’d never heard of that happens to include a VERY familiar-looking “Spy” window. Wonder what other code it might share? Dune Runner
