Blah

The Forest at Night
This level is a floating platform, with a few smaller floating platforms on top of it. The eyecandy is good, all layers are used, but there are lots of bushes placed, making the level a bit confusing. Lots of ammo has been placed. The gameplay is ok, but I found two places slowing you down, and the lighting has been set to 40%. If you jump off the main platform, a sucker tube will send you to the opposite part of the platform, witch is useful if you want to flight.

Conclusion
The level is cool, but it’s a bit small, and the there’s a bit to much eyecandy. Maybe you could create a pack with more small battle-levels. The sucker tube system is also really cool.

Fun: 4/6
Eyecandy: 4/6
Event Placement: 4/6
Gameplay: 3/6

I’ll give you a 6.7

Perhaps nobody reviewed this because it’s so damn huge.

Edit: Okay, played it through, here’s the review.

Flow: Flow is okay. Nothing really that bad, except for the warp on the lower left that wasn’t explained. I like the water. 3.5 of 5.

Eyecandy: The level doesn’t really look right unless you play in 8 bit mode, and even then, it looks weird because you can’t swim in lava, unless Jazz and Spaz both have extremophilic fur that can withstand the heat of lava. Also, the gems spin too fast. Everything else is okay. 4 of 5.

Gameplay: It’s okay, though I didn’t understand the toaster ammo underwater (toaster ammo doesn’t work underwater, and for a good reason, too). It may go with the idea well, but alone it doesn’t make sense. Otherwise, the gameplay is pretty nice. 4.5 of 5.

Tilt: I didn’t like the oversized music file that increased the zip file size. That makes me sad. -1 for that.

3.5 + 4 + 4.5 = 12 / 3 = 4 x 2 = 8 – 1 = 7. Download recommendation if you’re into duels, otherwise you can just download it if it’s ever in a server.

Okay, I know the reason. It’s because I’m horrible at creating CTF levels, and lazy, and wanted to upload SOMETHING, and for some weird reason, I chose to upload THIS garbage. Because I do not know how to delete it, I’ll have to wait for it to slip out of the recent downloads section. EVERYONE UPLOAD MORE STUFF OK THX

I don’t feel like writing a review on the level because there’s nothing about it that’s interesting to thoose who’d download it. The author is indirectly saying that he would not care about the comments this level would recieve from the reviewers. The level has been under construction for about an hour, plus the layout is symmetrical, bit of a turn off huh?

Symmetrical layouts work when done right, but it’s extremely risky if you are not familar with the basics on how to create symmetrical layouts for CTF levels. Next time you make a CTF level, make sure you know what you are doing if you plan to design a layout that’s symmetrical or it will look so incredibly boring! I cannot emphasize any further.

I know, you could care less, but you made this level for some reason. Come on…
