I can see the levels look nice. And they’re quite good for a small game with a maximum of three or four players. However, when I saw them hosted on a server with about ten players in, playing there wasn’t exactly what I’d call fun. Still, it’s worth downloading the pack and giving it a try.

A set of minilevels. Cool. The levels are quite small and they are probably used far a very quick battle.
They are quite fun.
These levels look good but they are not something amazing. The levels look kinda like the same(layout) and some feel bland. The wierd thing was with the toaster pu. (what’s with that? you get stuck…)
But. I liked the tileset use. These levels are very nice.
Music is good for the pack. and i hope i will play more than just 6 of them.
Thses levels suit the type of jazz2 level, which is battle and i think they worth a 7.5 with DR

Nothing terribly exciting but pretty much OK nonetheless.

Ah, mini levels. Sometimes these are my favorite type of levels since it’s easy to roast other players without much effort, and they work for quick duels. Levels of this size are often used for instagib, to be hosted one after another. A lot of luck is involved, but the sheer randomness makes them fun. That said, these levels look decent, but nothing particularly amazing. Some interesting but weird things like getting stuck to obtain toaster pu (o.O). Mini levels 1 and 5 felt pretty bland, and it isn’t necessary for most of the levels to have symmetrical layouts.

Still, these levels accomplish what they are made for, and that earns this a 7.2 and a dl recommendation.

Its an okay level, altough I personally think that the green stuff in the bg clash with the mountains quite heavily.. also, you could have used other colored stuff instead of the plain yellow. I also thought the layout was bit lazy. However, theres not much tilebugs and what there is looks mostly okay and doesnt hurt my eyes atleast. Gameplay is kinda average, I didnt like how i sometimes bump into edges and springs and whatever.
other than that however, the level seems to play ok. Placement is quite bad, there is enough ammo but its placed in really weird shapes which sometimes makes it hard to get.

however this seems to be quite fun level despite some annoynces there is. host this on your free time, i guess..

tip: singly thickened passages and masks makes the level look very noobish :P.

Here is my rating:

BASE INVADERS
Eyecandy
7.0
Though eyecandy is good on the higher places, lower eyecandy looks like the layer 4 tiles there, and it can confuse.

Gameplay
8.5
Level is a little hard to play, but it can be good and annoying in same time. I liked the pits, but they are hard to pass. ++ for tubes.

Pickups
8.0
Ammo placement is nice, though there can be more ammo.

Overall
7.8
Can be better.

GREEN AND UGLY
Eyecandy
9.3
Eyecandy looks cool. Green..um…things in the background are great.

Gameplay
8.5
Gameplay is good, but I think there should be more corridors. Also, not suitable for big games.

Pickups
8.5
Same as Base Invaders: needs more ammo, but I liked the thing with the shield. I like the seeker placement too.

Overall
8.8
Level looks fine, though it is playable only for duels and some 2v2s.

THREE LITTLE ISLANDS
Eyecandy
9.4
Looks nice in water, but if possible add some more eyecandy to that hill.

Gameplay
8.7
Looks fine together. Thing I don’t like: near that waterfall in water there is nothing except the sand and some eyecandy.

Pickups
9.0
Same as always: more ammo, but the ammo warp is SO COOL. A big + for that.

Overall
9.0
I like this level. It’s the best level from this pack. Just fix that waterfall area.

WATER WELL
Eyecandy
6.6
I like the “water well” part down, but other parts of the level don’t have enough eyecandy.

Gameplay
7.0
Same,“water well” is good, but still not good enough.

Pickups
7.8
I repeated this three times. More pickups needed.

Overall
7.1
Not good enough for higher rating. Sorry.

ALL LEVELS
8.2
I liked Green and Ugly and Three Little Islands(cool levels!),but the other two levels can be better.I don’t say they are bad,but add more ammo and more eyecandy. I give it 8.2 and a download recommendation.

Not exactly the best designs you’ll see. There’s a couple of okay ideas here, but they aren’t really executed too well. There’s a few annoying limitations in the layouts and the eyecandy is a little drab in places. Overall not bad, however some things just show what seems to be a lack of JCS experience.

‘waterfall caves’ keeps giving me access violations and out of memory’s especially when hosting online and trying to sidekick. anyway, the name waterfall caves is already taken by blur.

fixed.
