So my rating is a 7 and i give this a Download recomendation. :)

Wow. Single Player levels are a rarity, and this is a good one by SP standards. The tileset was well used, even though the level lacked eye candy in a few spots. The enemies were well placed, allowing for a balanced time. (even though putting lots of enemies in one place can get a bit annoying at times) there was some little creative bits (such as backtracking if you fall), and plenty of other interesting aspects.

Overall this is pretty good and should be downloaded to all SP fans. Heck, all fans of JJ2 levels.

This level isn’t all that bad. The water didn’t bother me. The secrets were good, even though items and enemies weren’t always placed all that well. Some places of the level are quite empty, fortunately not too often. The eyecandy is average. Maybe the level was a bit too easy, but then again, life doesn’t always have to be difficult.

One little note: I dont think using the water event causes any trouble in coop, I mean some of the real jazz jackrabbit 2 levels use the water event and do you have any trouble there? nope.

So why shouldnt you play it in coop if there is a water event???

Cool! I really like the idea of using the neat “Jazz1: Technoir” tileset conversion by Newspaz (about 200 tiles).

The design of the level is very good (pretty classic SP style) and there is a fair amount of good looking eyecandy. The water isn’t a problem at all (its not like the level is completely flooded or something :-). Enemy and savepoint placement is good and the level is quite long actually.
And of course, the original Jazz 1 music fits perfect.

Conclusion: “Techno Land” gives you about ten minutes of great single player fun and a very good impression of whats possible with Jazz1 tilesets!

Good things:

NO MUSIC!!!or you didn’t include the file in the .zip file, already -1 point for that!
Far to many enemies i think you’ve only done that to make this lvl a little harder because else it would be rally easy.

The level does not include the music file technoir.s3m, but i had one with another name so thats ok for me. Others might want to download the jj1 music (also on j2o).

The level has desent eyecandy and good enemy placement, although it seems a bit overdone on some ocasions. (like falling upon 4 turtles. There are about 7 different enemies in the level with the normal turtle as most-used.
I would recommend placing more flying enemies like floating lizards or sparks in this level.

The level lacks pickups of all sorts in most places, but there are several stashes of big pickups (like 4 filled gem boxes), I would advise you to spread the events more and increase the amount of ammo pickups throughout the start of the level. I myself dont always do it either, but putting weaponry in improves the gameplay.

Overall i would certainly recommend downloading a level such as this. A good 7.5 points from good ol’ me.

Pretty average level here. Uses the, you guessed it, Diamondus tileset. The layout is decent, but this highly lacks eye candy. Also there are way too many weapons.

Conclusion: Download if you want, it’s your choice.

(Like Aiko noted, there is no next level. ALWAYS remember to set one.)

Hmm, not a half bad level here.

I like the eye candy despite the fact it’s just like any Diamondus level (the Diamondus set is soo boring.)

The way the springs were used enabled you to get higher quickly and I liked that idea. Now onto the problems…

The playability isn’t really fluent (a few dead ends and such), you should make the design a lot more circular. Also, as Pizzie noted, there were too many weapons.

Conclusion (I like putting that at the end of my reviews. ;): Check this out for a pretty good battle level. :)

I pretty much agree with ElectroPizza here (btw you can EDIT your reviews!).
“The Grand Diamondus Level” is (despite its boring name) a decent battle map.
Everything from design and weapon placement to eyecandy is well-made in my opinion.
Of course, there are still some minor puzzling facts: e.g. there is way too much of free space in the upper right corner of the level. Also, my rating is influenced by the “Diamonuds inflation”: the more average Diamonuds levels there are, the less each new one is worth.
However, my overall impression is good and thats why EVERY BATTLE FAN SHOULD DOWNLOAD THiS (very very low seven points :-)

"Photon A" has a pretty good layout (which esspecially battle fans will like), but unfortunately there is hardly any eyecandy. Also, it is very small (not to say too small :-) and could get a bit boring after a short time. Besides, Diamondus is not my favourite tileset and overused in average levels.
Somehow i’m unsure if i should recommend a download here. Decide for yourself.

P.S.: The author forgot to set the next level setting. The usual annoying bug when playing on the net…

Not much to say here. I think this battle level is VERY slightly above the average: the design and eyecandy (back layers are okay, fore layers aren’t) is okay, not much to complain. But the level itself is too small and boring (heard about events? :-). However, weapon selection is okay, too. Nothing special. Of course, the author didnt forget the usual annoying bugs: no background music, wrong next level setting.
I don’t know if i should recommend to download “The Castle” (sorry, but boy, thats a boring name!) or not. But as FoD said: if you like small battle maps…(low six points!)

Ya need to pay careful attention to eyecandy, it’s vastly important.

Also, the one vine was too high up.. I’d recommend puting it down one more line.

You need to make sure that people can get around your level without too much work. A few springs probably wouldn’t have hurt any..
