Good!
Nice things.

Too much eyes…
Too much 1ups…
(TIP: If ya use that much 1ups, please hide them! Too easy to find.)

[Rating (7.5) clearance. When rating, you must specify why were some things “nice”. ~Cooba]

Well I re-uploaded the level, tnx for the review JelZe, also tnx for the information that it is not compatible, didn’t know that… I’ve changed some things, if things are correct, the file doesn’t extract in a new folder.
I’ve deleted layer 5, wich I thought you mentioned whit “floating”, I set the coveyor belt animation to 70 like you advised. And I fixed the next level bug.

Here’s some info:

1.23 levels are comptiable with TSF (1.24)
TSF levels are not compatible with 1.23, due to the many differences TSF has. Do the math :p

Great, now I’m forced to review this…

One warning first: the zip extracts the level into a new folder called “BattleLab”. Next time, Luuk, add the levels into the zip one at a time.

Well, at first sight, this level looks good. No messed up tiles, incomplete platforms…only the background is a little….lemme put it this way: it’s floating :p The animations are ok, but the conveyor is slow (TIP: if you right-click on the animated tile in JCS, you can set the speed of the animation, up to 70 fps). It’s a 7 worth graphic-wise
The lay-out is a little… (here I go again) OK, basicly, the level is divided in 2 parts. The top part is very narrow and has the most features of the level: 1 sucker system, 1 conveyor belt, and lots of hooks. The bottom part is very open, which I find better. I can’t really give it a grade…Another 7, just because I’m so nice :P
Now come the goodies. Imo it has quite a lot for such a smal level. The readme mentioned 3 power-ups and 3 carrots. (1 or 2 power-ups is recommended) The power-ups are easy to find and to reach, and so are the carrots, with one exception: the one in the top right corner, with the series of hooks. Gwet my drift? Ammo-wise, it’s ok.
What else is there? O yes, as mentioned earlier, the zip file extracts to a new folder. Well, here’s another problem: a faulty next level setting: “.j2l” Filling in nothing doesn’t start the level over, JJ2 isn’t smart enough for that :p

Verdict:

A pretty basic level, worth checking out. But since the author forgot the next level setting, level has a floating background, the coveyor belt animation is slow, and the level is extracted to a new folder, I’m forced to withhold the rating. When the author has corrected those mistakes, I’ll give him the full praise.

[edit: everything fixed, rating applied]

P.S. I didn’t say set it to 70, but at least higher than than the standard 10. Something along the lines of 20 will do. Asking people to beat-test will help you too.

That wasnt that bad, only to much lives, ( one ups ) and at some places to much goods, I could easly kill the boss with so much fastfire, there are to many full energy’s in the lvl to.

I evidently liked this level a bit more then Chandie did.
It’s a medium-small length level with quite a few goodies and secrets. It uses the tileset fairly well (except in some spots in the background), and has a variety of stuff.
Now the bad part.
It’s seriously easy. There are WAY too many extra lives (and they’re way too easy to get), and the enemies are usually in places you can walk up to them and shoot at them. The end boss is about the same, but Bubba’s generally easy anyway. You can get the silver coins and the coin warp without hitting the trigger crate, and there are some layer 3/tile bugs.
Still, especially for a first level, this is good. I’m too mean to raise the rating for it being your first, though.

One more tube electric tileset with the tube electric music. For a beginner, your levels are so good. The gameplay is so much fun. There was one thing that I liked was the placement of the goodies. Every goodies were hidden difficultly or easily according to the price of the award. For example you have to break so much 4-hit blocks to reach four extra lives! But the enemy types were too bad and also the background was so complicated. That’s enough for your first level.
