I really liked the first level, the big number of baddies and all that, I liked the other levels too, no doubt about it, the only minor thing that those levels were indeed short. If you all can give me some tips/hints about making levels, please let me know. I’m currently working on an idea of a VERY callenging Treasure Hunt level. If you let me know some tips by my e-mailaddress, I may reveal something that I have in mind… but of course, that is depending on my free time…
Let’s see, the first level is pretty good. Unfortunately it’s not your work.
LEVEL 2:
Should come with an elipsy warning. Ouch.
Pros: Could be kind of interesting, I can’t really tell
Cons: Enemy placement is bad, eye candy gives you a headache, boss is too easy.
LEVEL 3:
Looks better, has, er… interesting gameplay.
Pros: Not too bad
Cons: Not the greatest
LEVEL 4:
Way too easy…
Pros: Interesting, in and odd way
Cons: Odd looking, easy.

Party bunny, I hate to break it to you, but this level is medium sized… that doesn’t make it good. It has bad gameplay, no eyecandy, and is boring.
The end.
Keep trying. Spend time on your levels. The average time I spend on my medium sized ones is 7 – 8 hours. If you don’t have 7 – 8 hours, spread them out across long periods of time – let’s say a month. Most levels made by the masters of level making take at least a month. This level, and the Mario 3 Battle probably didn’t take more than a half hour, or maybe an hour. If you are not willing to spend a lot of time on levels, JCS is probably not your thing.
What can I say? This level is bad.
Good stuff:
The Layer 8 tiles fit together.
Bad stuff:
Shields. ahsdadkjhfdlfjlkdsfjflkjd!
Boring.
Mazy.
Yes.
Sorry, but this is very bad. The gameplay seriously sucks – which is why I didn’t give you higher.
Make something original.
I can’t rate this fully because the weirdness of this episode. And You shall not use someone’s other’s level’s. How could you? No copies next time you make a level. Make your own level. Oh, there is so much things in your levels that should be changed, so, this is so strange level, that I give it 2.
Hey, guy!
Remember to name your levels to other than original levels of jj2, so someone could play em. I don’t wanna lose the original shareware episode of jj2, and also make your own episode or level! Do not copy or remix any level, okay, so it will be more interesting, and better also.
sorry i didnt realize that the first level was carrot cream and i thought it was another level that i had made in my spare time and i cant figure out how to change that sry
I’ll let you off this time since you are making edits of default levels.
Now, when I extract this, I am going to have to delete all of Mikeejimbo’s levels that I was trying to beta-test because they have the same filename, and I’m going to have to delete all the single player shareware levels I all ready have because you didn’t change the filename. So I created a new folder and ran them manually.
Making me do this work is all ready a bad thing.
New.j2l
Pros
Traces of good eyecandy here and there.
The author knows how to use water effectively, something I didn’t learn for a while in my level making campaigns.
Some effort.
Good for a new level maker.
Cons
Bad eyecandy.
Bad weapons / enemy placement.
Short.
Boring.
New1.j2l
Oh my. Oh my, oh my.
Pros
None.
Cons
There are 4 tiles used here in all – 3 of which are shootable tiles.
It’s a maze level underwater. I hate these :(
It would put a kid with insomnia in a European ghetto in 1939 during an air raid by the German army to sleep pronto. Lucky me I’m not too tired.
Short.
Short.
Short.
Shor— oops, I all ready said that =)
Bad enemy placement, bad ammo placement.
Too many.
New2.j2l
Better.
Pros
Not linear.
Not quite as boring.
Good eyecandy here and there… actually, in one or two places.
Still boring.
Cons
Short
Bad eyecandy
Etc.
I’m not reviewing the other levels because they are WAY too similar to the originals. My review is based on your levels only.
Overall
Pros
Some effort here and there.
Not linear.
Cons
Bad eyecandy.
Short.
Etc.
Sorry, no download reccomendation. Put more effort into your levels. Download a good single player level, and look at it – look at what makes a single player level good.
To make a good single player level.
1.) Make it long.
2.) Make it original.
3.) Make it hard, but not TOO hard.
4.) Put in skill level settings.
5.) Put in funny text messages :-)
6.) Put in food, but don’t overdo it!
7.) Put in gems.
8.) What am I saying? Read some articles in the articles section.
Keep practicing…….

Not to be mean or anything, but…
WHY DID YOU UPLOAD SOMEBODY ELSES WORK EDITTED WITHOUT THEIR PERMISSION!?!?!?!?!?
Level 1
This is the level, Carrot Cream, but you decided to give it a make over, just so it’d be hard to recognize. Well, you know what? I regonized it. And this is not your work.
Level 2
I’ve never seen this level elsewhere, but it’s still very bad. Bad eyecandy, too short…
Level 3
Better, but still bad.
Level 4
Bad, short, bad.
Pros
SOME effort…
Sort of good for a beginner.
Cons
The first level is NOT your work!!
Bad eyecandy
Awful enemy placement.
If you’re going to make a level, please make it your own level with your own ideas – you copied the level, Carrot Cream, and I know it – you took out the credits for the original carrot cream, too. THe place with the sucker tube and the green gems was the place where the REAL people were credited. So in hopes of us not finding out it’s not yours, you deleted them.
cough Plagurism.
