The levels won’t work.
Good level. nice idea but, too many carrots in the monkey dungeon. The monkey dungeon is way too easy. Just like what Violet said about that you used some Iceland tiles. I don’t think you should do that but, everything else was fine. Can you make a third level?
I haven’t played the whole thing yet. I’ll tell you some more things about it when I finish it.[This review has been edited by BloodRabbit][This review has been edited by BloodRabbit]
Wow!! This episode is excellent! Nice episode Violet CLM!! The tileset is also very good. I have the shareware. I don’t know where it is. Too bad the 2nd Episode was canceled. Neat idea. Really good level. I think everyone should download it.
I don’t know to UnRar.
Old Review preserved for posterity:
This is a really good episode. I like your episode. Can you make another Tomb Rabbit? Thank you for making this episode Kejero.I also like your tileset.:)
14+ year update:
Well it’s been over 14 years and I’ve finally properly beat Tomb Rabbit. Now that I’m 24 and not 9 years old, I feel I should make an effort to write a better review.
The point of it being a really good episode still stands. Why is it a good episode? Well, for starters it is very challenging even on Easy and Normal mode, and it took me several days to complete. From the sheer size of the levels you can tell that Kejero put in a lot of hard work (not to mention he created his own tilesets just for the episode!).
For its time it was extremely innovative, especially since JJ2+ and AngelScript did not exist at the time. When I was young I thought that the HUD was really cool (I still do, but nowadays the same effect could be achieved even better with AngelScript). The hub idea (Central Cave) was also something I quite liked and really wish more level packs had used. The puzzles are still as hard as I remember them being as a kid (especially that sucker tube maze which I ultimately cheated through, sorry Kejero!).
When I found out about Tomb Rabbit 2 I was very excited and I followed it for a number of years. Naturally I was pretty saddened when Kejero decided not to finish it, but the demo was a nice farewell. (As an aside, I was pretty happy when I discovered Kejero and Ninja Dodo had worked on a game together, and I’m hoping to one day play that.)
