I agree with RoW_Odin314, it is a battle 2 remake, its not that bad but its not that great either.

The power up added i believe takes away from the gameplay as there is only one carrot on the level – hard to recover from a pu.

However I would recommend downloading it as an alternative to the overplayed battle 2 :D.

I think for this level you have to take it for what it is, you say its crappy because of boxes in the way stopping the flow, but that might be part of the design, it doesn’t stop the flow, it just makes monovering harder. I really dont think this level should get the rating its at. Clearly the eye-candy can be seen as really bad because the background is just black, the other layers arent used and the only real good part eye-candy wise about the level is the good tileset, but to rate the level eye-candy, I would seriously say its not good enough.

The gameplay i believe though can be viewed as quite original, its small and has little jagged islands to jump about on and fight apon. Really though i think this level should get like a 3 if it wasn’t for the tileset (a very good one that ive used myself) saving its arse a little, pulling the level up to a 4.

I’m not in the mood to make a long review, so i’m just going to pile everything up in one paragraph.

This level is a remake of the original Battle2 level. However, there’s this one little tumor-esque thing at the lower left part of the level that is not found in the original level. Proper layout takes a back seat to eyecandy, which is seen in the form of mask errors. The eyecandy isn’t all that good either, in my opinion. Just some floating things in the background. You get a 6.5 from me. Download this if you really like battle2, but otherwise, you can skip this one.

hmmmm this is better than my first lvl. oh well here goes review:

Eyecandy: it can be a bit confusing, though it isnt that good. all i remember is layers 8,5,4,3 were being used. i dont see many (if not any) glaring bugs (unlike some lvls). Isnt good or bad. the eyecandy of these lvls are all average or maybe a bit above.

Gameplay: good for first lvls, though there are dead ends… oh well, also they are far too small. they can be fun but only for a little while…=P also it can be ok to make a battle pack, but there shouldnt be too many small lvls…

Pickups: Placed a bit nicely, only few comments are:
1) They are a bit close by
2) there isnt much of a point of freezers or TNTs in a battle
3) to much together or too little in a lvl at times.

Others: the tilesets were not included, and neither was the music, luckily i had them so that i could try them.

Overall: okay, for a start, try other lvls like ‘Jagged Ectoplasm’ and try to make a lvl like them.

First of all, you start in wall by first host. 10-1 = 9
2nde of all, no eyecandy 9-3 = 6
I cant say much about this level, it is small 6-2 = 4

But i think its cool to play with 5 ppl, + 0.2 = 4.2

Let me review this level:

1- Eyecandy:

Bad placed Eyecandy, really bad.
There is only black, and there isn’t
any foreground in this level. The only thing i see are some crates and rope’s.
Very poor. (1.0)

2- Food ammo enemy’s and goodie’s:

Bad. there is a low limmit of
ammo to get, and NO powerups.
This isn’t good. (2.0)

3- big/small:

Very small. May be you can play with
only 2 players in it but NOT for online play. Really bad. (1.5)

4: the rating:

I hope this is one of your first levels. It’s really bad and i don’t like it.

One Question.Do U know What Flow is (I dont Have A Very Vivid idea)Your Level is small.even if its 50 by 50 you need a ot of space to play,Note: Look In Tides Of Blood (Non edited)So you can See violets note.Also you Should Take more Time on your levels so they LOOK BETTER (Eyecandy) Anand Make Sure You Dont Get Stoped By Some Box(Like in your Level it Stops the Flow(If Any).I Have no idea on How To Rate This Without Depressing you.My Best Advice is to Look At Other Battle Levels To see Why They Got A Good and/or Bad Rating.I’d Rate This a……… 2 or maby a 3.5 at best.(I hope you Think Im Not Under rateing)

make sure that it is at LEST 50×50
ok

Also look at the levels that got a High rating look at them look ay the layers see how tha are made learn form them ok if you look you well see the THE LEVELS ARE A LOT BIGGER !
