I agree with most of the reviewers here – it’s a bit small and does miss some of the more important things such as hooks. That, and there isn’t much variation of the ground.
Not bad at all. The useability (if that’s even a word) is good, there’s all the basic blocks, and fortunaely no little tiny one-pixel-wide corners – they’re always a pain to put in your levels.
Ya know, the “joke” set is actually pretty useable – I’ve already started a level with it.
(I have to do this:
Thunder!
HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
X-DDDDDDD … I never said that. thanks.)
Nice sets, but something interesting – there’s a “hidden” message in the raging inferno tileset – if you put the background and the surrounding tiles anywhere on the level, and then switch the level view to masks (the button in the top-right hand corner) the message is in the masking. Weird.
ACK!!! AGAIN!!! Another mistake this time – one of the music files is wrong. If the music for the first level plays, it’s because you have rpt_army.j2b. The extra file is Qsystem51.j2b, used in the next level, after the end of the demo. Sorry bout that, it’s why the pack is over 1 meg. -P
I also get a run-time error, but instead of the thingy S.S. mentioned, it says “Runtime error ‘339’ – component ‘comdlg3.ocx’ not correctly registered: file is missing or invalid.”
Erm…. wha?
Not to be pessemistic here, but I have a problem: THERE’S NO TILES!!! :-P All of them don’t, in fact. Possibly a version difference?
AHERM!!! I have but one burning question to ask: WHY ARE ALL YOUR SETS BLANK?! When I load the set in JCS, there’s nothing there but blankness… WHY ME? ACK!!! Runs off into distance, arms up. Smashes into tree (THWACK), falls over, nose falls off. Gets up, walk off, forgets nose, comes back picks nose up and super-glues it back on …I’m ok!!!!
(Yes, this is a question.)
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA …. Inhales WHEEEEEEEZEEEEEEEEE….. HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA. Odd…
Thinks of J2C
Well, it’s a snif good set snif, snurrrrfffff, but I agree, it could use a better bakgrou…SNUURRRCK.. ugh.. background… Sniff… SNURRRCKKKK… SNWOOOOOOOOOONKKKKK… WAHHHHH!!!!!! Why did J2C have to go…. ????? sniffle
Sounds interesting…. I’ll have to try and review later. ;-)
OMIGOD!!!! I just realized (with a bit of poking around my hard drive) that I already havre this set and a pretty nice level half-done with this set. Look for it soon, and I can tell you, the stuff you can make with this is WOW.
This is probably my first serious review (lol). The only thing wrong with this set is that there’s no real layer 6 tiles, that and the way it’s drawn – REAL cartoony. Otherwise, it’s a nicely done set.
Ya know, ya can make a good level in 2 hrs… just WORK. Nice lvl. No music? For shame! Next time, think of it while ya build. Or listen while doing so? Anyway, enough babble. An 8.7 here.
Oh, he is SO not impatient. He’s right. Here’s friendly tip (and really, a tip, not a hipocritical comment):DON’T USE POKEMON SETS!!!! (: -P
Real high-quality stuff here. Nice trees, eazy sand, and even (whaddya know) SIGNS!!! ;-) Ramps are a bit iffy, though.
And what, may I ask, about Agama?
To keep anyone else from taking up uneeded space just to say this: Why post something if it sucks?!
Ok. For all of you who have NO idea what the laser shield is, it’s a shield that kills anything and everything across the level in the EXACT direction you fire. I’m assuming there’s a way to use it in multiplayer mode. To use it in Single player, type jjshield 4 times.
I dunno how to do it in Multiplayer mode.
Have a nice day. :-)

I had a level in the making, but during a cut-and-paste-trial-and-eror experiment (tried to get custom music to work), I lost it, and HALF MY JJ2 STUFF!!!!! (Runs into distance, screaming the whole way. Hits tree, falls over, nose separates and is stuck in tree.) ….. oww. Little help with da nobe hee? Cad I ged dome fread?
