First of all, it was a good idea to use this difficult tileset. Very plucky, MoonShadow!
The general layout of the level is okay, including weapon selection and the like. Well, i have to admit that i don’t like the sucker tubes too much and the copter event is also quite annoying (Lori can’t grab the copter btw). Anyways, the eyecandy is slighly above average, too.
To sum it up: not a bad level at all. Worth the download if you like the Colonius tileset or need another battle level for your server.
Level is oke *to lazy to write a revieuw
Same rating from me. I didn’t really like how you used the layers, and the weapons were placed in strange places. I did like the sewer part of the level. Like Splash said (if i understood corectly), practice makes perfect. Keep making levels!
quite confusing level, little good eyecandy, strange weapons placement, big gaps. as a first try to create a colonius lvl, i’d say pretty d-a-n-g good, as a real serious battle lvl, i’d say its no good.
my advice: try to put in good eyecandy as walls, chairs, houses and so on, and make sure your lvl is playable, and best of all: practice alot.
Plz do not download this level pack. I tried to fix the bugs but it didn’t work. sorry
First off, never name a level “level” or “level2”. Because theres a high chance people have to or accidentally overwrite some stuff in their Jazz2 folder.
Apart from that, i got the same error as mirrow and Flash when trying to start the first level.
“Marble Maze” works fine and looks pretty good. There even is some eyecandy. The music (using those fine “Elysium” samples) is a very good choice. Unfortunately i wasn’t able to solve the puzzles (or whatever it is) at the start of the level so i didn’t see the whole thing.
Then again, the “High Voltage” level has horrible eyecandy and a bad design. The next level setting is wrong or missing.
The puzzle in “Devons Lair” drove me crazy (not much eyecandy, by the way). And the music is okay.
To sum it up, a confusing and pretty much unplayable level pack. The “Marble Maze” and the nice readme file (:-) could be worth a look but the rest of pack isn’t worth downloading in my opinion. (Plus the major bugs made me rate it lower). Sorry, Moonshadow!
(Maybe you should re-upload and fix some bugs.)[This review has been edited by Aiko]
yea i got the same error
try to put some enemies out .
cya
I never saw that message that hapends to you so I don’t know how to fix it sorry.
Well… the first 2 level doesn’t work for me (level 1: JJ2 ran out of aniamtion structures, too much enemy’s, level 2: Tileset not found) So i won’t give a rating now. please re-upload!
This level was pretty fun. I played it when Moonstone server hosted it.
-Level is too small
-Not enough Eye Candy
-Background is too slow
-Had plenty of weapons
-Carrots were too close to each other
-The shield fitted in the level
-The music Fitted (heh)
-Was fun
-Grass in the gorund was sort unique
-Cave wasn’t dark
-Good Secrets (sorta)
Overall: This was a fun Battle level I recommend it.
A slightly above average level using an overused tileset.
The eye candy is shoved into different areas and totally left out of other areas. The BG was okay and the weapon placement was weird…. the design was choppy, had plent of dead ends and other annoyances too.
Overall you can decide if you wish to download, this is very slightly above average.
“Carrottus Roast” isn’t a bad level. But not really a very good one either. The layout is okay but a bit too boring and with too many dead-ends. The use of eyecandy is too sparse (sp?), too. Otherwise, i don’t have much to say. Download or not, you decide (low 6 points).
P.S.:
The wrong next level setting is annoying and should be corrected (use the re-upload function).
