Let’s say: This is pretty useless tileset, because this has only some background tiles. There are lots of things missing. But the eycandy is good. Plz more 3d like tilesets. This doesn’t belong to your best tilesets. You usually have good tilesets but this? This will be 3 but +1 because the example level.

And still another compacted contest level review:

Intergalactic Isometry

GAMEPLAY: Balanced. Good flow and layout.
EYE CANDY: Good. A little different.
CARROT PLACEMENT: I like it.
AMMO PLACEMENT: Alright.
HOST THIS OFTEN? Every now and then.

Overall review: This is definitely on of the better levels in my contest. It’s balanced and has nice flow. And best of all, it uses mostly slopes so it can make the weaker bouncers (compared to the RFs) slightly more useful. I don’t know about the ice in the level… Although it can be useful at times, like when you don’t have any powerups at hand, it makes me skeptical. There are 3 powerups total, and even though the ice is close to the base, there’s a powerup nearby, too. And all of the inclines may make it harder to use. Other than that (it’s nothing big anyway), it’s a good level and I liked it when I first saw it. A 7.7 is what I’ll rate this.

THEME: The theme, of course, is Pigs. Pigs pigs. Sadly, nothing BUT pigs. There is nothing but pink platforms with such piggy features as circles, eyes, snouts, and a tail (one of the best parts of the tileset). It does indeed feel like a pig tileset, and the example level shows it can be made into several pigs. But it is missing pig byproducts, and thus is nothing but a few pigs, and not a planet of the pig.
Pros: Theme is carried out very well.
Cons: There is not enough to really make an interesting level.
Rating: 3.2

GRAPHICS: The graphics are one of the worst parts of the tileset. It is, with a few exceptions, a solid light pink with a darker pink outline of two (I think) pixels. The background is a single blue color, and the eyes are just circles with dots. This shows that the author spent time on this, but not enough to make it at all textured, if pigs can have textures.
Pros: Few.
Cons: No textures, shading, etc.
Rating: 2.0

INVENTORY: Well, there are platforms, a background, and background eyecandy (a pig with a dubious wing). The author made no attempt to give the pig a second wing, sadly, or even make it animate, but I suppose that can’t be helped. Still, this tileset is missing a great number of things which I won’t even bother listing.
Pros: There is background eyecandy.
Cons: There is hardly anything.
Rating: 2.0

ORIGINALITY: Ok, it’s original. Unless you count the fact the entire idea comes from the legendary “Planet of the Pig”.
Pros: It is original.
Cons: Ok, so it’s original. That doesn’t necessarily mean it’s good. It needs MORE.
Rating: 1.7

COMPETITION: This tileset (unless you count FiShY for some odd reason) has NO competition. None. Nada. Zip. Which is a shame, because there’s nothing I can recommend to use instead.
(No pros given)
(No cons given)
(No rating given)

EASE OF USE: This is probably the tileset’s best feature. Everything looks very easy to use, and is logically placed, with the possible expection of some of the 1 tile wide/high platforms.
Pros: Good.
Cons: Few.
Rating: 5.0

MASKING: Oh, and um.. masking is good, too. Everything is understandably done and there are no real jagged edges. While the author did not have to spend much work here, he spent enough to make it work.
Pros: Good.
Cons: Few.
Rating: 4.7

OVERALL (not an average): This is an interesting tileset, but I can not really recommend it in it’s current state. There are a great number of things that could be added to this tileset, but I suppose we shall have to wait for the author to finish his “PSP 8” tileset. Unless (horrors of horrors) that was Townsville 2 Night. I’m rambling.
Pros: Interesting enough to make me give it a pointlessly long review, good masking, easy to use.
Cons: Not enough stuff by any means, poor graphics.

OH NO, I WAS EXPECTING SO MUCH MORE =(

Where are the:
  • Bacon Ladders
  • Platforms made out of pork
  • Sticks of bacon layer backgrounds

I AM SORRY, BUT YOU HAVE INSULTED THE SUPREME POWER OF THE PLANET OF PIGS! YOU WILL PAY-

Nah, it’s amusing. Thanks for the wonderfully educational tileset. For a review I’d say what Trafton said above. Download if you like pigs.

Well, this is a tileset. Which consists of pigs. Made for ElectroPiZZa. Shall I go on? Simply put, this really isn’t much of anything to crow about. In fact, it is not very good at all. The tileset is small, done in a rush, and looks like a fourth grader drew it. I know that Wisety did this very quickly in a short period of time, but still, I was expecting more. This really should not have been uploaded. Still, it’d be funny to see a level made out of it and that could happen some day. My rating is 3 and a download recommendation because, well, you don’t see this sort of tileset every day. Or ever for that matter. Just download it.

The only thing, of course, that this tileset is missing as ElectroPiZZa kindly informed me is bacon latters. I have to agree. There is a great lack of bacon within this tileset that severely undermines the overall quality of the piece. Regardless, this is possibly the best pig-themed tileset to come along within the past ten minutes that caused me to randomly insert bold HTML tags into the middle of my review. So, get out there and download it. The porkers are waiting. Or something like that.

Hey, YOU try and give this a senseful review. It is not as easy as it sounds.[This review has been edited by Trafton AT]

Well, what do we have here? Another level by Wisety Face, it appears. And not a bad one to boot. The whole thing got off to a bad start, as the upload lacks a tileset (it uses Disguise’s own tileset, which he apparently considers common enough to not upload). Anyway, the tileset that this DOES use is “Space Warbase”. And the level uses it pretty well. Let’s go to the review.

TILESET/TILESET USE: Well, the tileset use is actually pretty good in general. The only problem I really have with it is that some parts of the level seem a bit blank. Most of the level is quite full, but just a few areas seem blank. Still, tileset use was good enough (after all, who better to use a tilest than the tileset maker?). I didn’t see any tileset errors at all, which is not that surprising, and everything that was there looked good.
Pros: Looks pretty nice.
Cons: A few empty sections.
Rating: 7.5

WEAPON/ITEM PLACEMENT: Item and weapon placement were both pretty well-done. Weapons were placed with lots of consideration in a way so that they are in places many people would go. There is also a seeker powerup in the middle. This level is well-banalanced and placement is well-done.
Pros: Nice placement.
Cons: None to mention.
Rating: 8.0

ORIGINALITY: If this level lacks one thing, it is probably originality. It is not that this level is really flawed in anyway or boring, it’s just that there is nothing to differentiate it from other levels. This is easily the level’s weakest area, but it isn’t bad.
Rating: 7.0

GAMEPLAY/DESIGN: Gameplay was definitely the strongesst point of this levels, namely flow. There are many different preset paths to take, and the level is dynamic. The flow is easily the best part of this level, in that one rarely has to turn around to get from base to base and can just run without hitting anything for quite a while. This is probably the best CTF level flow that I have seen in a while. Nicely done.
Pros: Great flow.
Cons: None to mention.
Rating: 8.5

REPLAY VALUE/FUN FACTOR: This level gets boring after a while, but not extremely quickly. It’s solid, but its lack of originality is disappointing.
Pros: Good level.
Cons: Not all that original.
Rating: 7.5

OVERALL (not an average): All things considered, this is quite a good level. There is nothing really all that disappointing about it. It’s solid and features a good flow and layout, though not an extremely original one. Flow, item placement, and the like is well-done and obviously showed thought. It was apparently rushed, and this shows some, in that there is not much eyecandy (especially surprising coming from an eyecandy master like Disguise). Still, its a solid play, though there are a few reasons why it probably lost BlurredD’s contest. Still, “Intergalactic Isometry” is a great play that I’m sure will be hosted quite extensively.
Pros: A solid level in every way…
Cons: …except possibly originality.
Rating: 7.7

I always knew city and town (find the difference beetween the meaning of these words! you can win a mumbo jumbo!) tilesets look better at night. YOu should download it if you have the original version of Townsville ][. OK, now make night version of Winterland Wonder. I hope you’re nice today? ;)

Well, the color and texture is good. I like this better than the day version, and the example level showed how to use the set well. Really good clouds and backround stuff. The rain looked like if it hit jazz, it could knock him unconsious :P but it was ok. The tileset was good, Disguise’s 51st tileset claps.
The main tiles were there (just like the first version) but there could of been more eyecandy things added(in the day and night version) because now it looks like a basic tileset that can be used to make a swell CTF level. Not my favorite set by disguise, but he did a great job on this. Also, i am guessing Disguise used PSP 8 beta for this set, because he told me he will make a set with psp 8, and it might as well be this one. Great work Disguise!

This battle level of Disguise is a little one. I have it now in two parts, the night and the day and i think the Example is the best.
Lol.
The level is fun to play and the carrots are placed nice. The Powerups are placed okay too. The eyecandy isn’t so bad, I like it because it’s not so hysterical as Disguise and if it was so, I getted hypreactive. Worth a 8.
