Yeah Africa rocks (and thats not just because I live there)
If ur as bored as me you would understand…
Lemme just get that start position thing right. It is the only single player start position, the rest are multiplayer and you can only start at them if you are in multiplayer mode. Somehting you should understand with all my levels.
I just smacked in the one single player start so you can actually quick test the level without having to go into multiplayer or gettign stuck in the top left corner ;)
Nothing to say, but it is one of the best unofficial tilesets ever…
In my top five of all-time favourite sets :)
I just think it’s a bit short, otherwise, it’s excellent.
sooo … distruct made that?
Good design and eye candy, nice ammo placement, nice open area, blah, blah. But the reason this level got a 6, is POOR base placement… The bases are basicly right next to each other. And only one start location (I think).
Anyway, the bases are right next to each other, a 2 second base path from each other. Well, if it’s just one, it can make it near inposable to score.
This download is worth giving you a good example on how to make good design, NOT gameplay.
Not a bad CTF by Disguise. Pretty good base placement, but base paths aren’t good, and as iCeD said, hard to find the right one.
The eye candy isn’t bad, but I strangely fine the design not THAT great. Little above average.
Anyway, worth downloading if you’re a CTF fan.
Mmm, a nice open CTF. This may be “stupid” but I actually like it, the layout/most of the event placement was good. Eye candy was okay but could have been improved. There was also lack of one whens when they were needed (common mistake in the tileset)
The base placement was evil though. :-)
OVERALL: An above average level, barely worth your d/l.
Wow, a VERY good CTF level using the actually underused Labratory set.
The variation in this level is good, and the tileset was used well. Base placement was good, but simple. It was also a little too much of a challenge to get to the red base, not to mention it’s hard getting a good base route going. Also there is lack of one ways when needed in one spot…
I like the eye candy and event placement here, the design is quite good.
CONCLUSION: Download now, any CTF fan will like this (including me. :-)
Aha. Interesting. Well, whatever…
No matter if the author finds it stupid or not, it uses one of my favourite J2 tilesets (hard to work with btw). The design of the map isn’t that bad actually except the one or two minor tile placement bugs i found. Probably, most people will find the powerups and the full energy carrot annoying. Furthermore, the eyecandy is average.
And the base placement made me say "Hmmmmm" :-)
I don’t know, i’ll have to wait for the reviews of the CTF freaks here. Maybe i’ll change my rating (+/- 1 point max.).
Once again a great CTF map from the south african level factory. No doubt that there’s a nifty alliteration in the name.
The layout of the level itself is very tight but none the less open and fluently playable. Not to forget great eyecandy (very tight as i mentioned; with loads of cool structures and objects scrolling around).
EVERYONE should DOWNLOAD THiS and ADD iT this to his/her Jazz2 level collection. You’ll have a lot of fun playing “Labrat Lunacy” :-)
Heehee, the alarm clock bit was my favourite. HAHHAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!! It’s just too funny.
DEATH TO THE MOST EVIL HACKERS!!! YEAH!!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! TAKE THAT DISTRUCT!!!
I made this level as part of a bet between Distruct and I. He claims that every level I make gets a high rating because it is made by Disguise, woooowww. I had to prove him wrong some way ;)
He thinks this will get way above 6. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
Sorry folks, this is not a ‘true’ Disguise level.
heh, small levels are fun, even though not much effort goes into them. Despite the fact the level is very very small, it’s not bad. Along with being small, it also feels quite crowded. I don’t like that. The eye candy looks weird but actually pretty good. Confusing at times. This could be quite fun for duels…
Not really worth downloading, unless you download EVERYTHING, like me. :-)
In my opinion a GREAT CTF level by Disguise. I like the unique metal placement/eye candy. The base placement was good, the layout is decent and pretty fluent. Stuff was arranged nicely. My only real complaint was the base placement could have been improved.
Definitely worth your download. Click the “Download” link above please.
This level is, well… Miniature. A simple idea really. But I think there are too many powerups for the size, and it’s too, small. But I think the idea will make for a fun game. But I don’t really know.
Also, I think the eye candy can be inproved a lot.
And as Aiko said, “You should only download this, if you want a complete “DisXX” level collection.”
Hehe, i made similar levels by myself, but, for some reasons (i guess its just because i’m smart ;-), i decided against publishing them.
Of course, this "miniaturized" level is way too small and boring. Despite it has powerups of my four favourite weapon types in the four corners, it doesn’t make much sense. Every battle game will end up in a pure massacre, which is fun at first but not for a long time. The eyecandy is okay by the way.
However, i didn’t find many major bugs, which explains my high rating.
You should only download this, if you want a complete "DisXX" level collection :-)
Well, if i should rate the amount of blabla in the level info and the readme file (dont miss that one! awesome stories from Africa), "Troublesome Tubes" definitely would be in the Top 10.
Apart from that, the ZiP file contains a very awesome CTF map using one of my favourite tilesets. The tile placement is very original, i saw many interesting layer arrangements (thats what we call eyecandy) and the overall layout is really tight and therefore superb (some people won’t like that many tubes though).
Conclusion: i don’t have much too add, it’s just a Disguise download. EVERYONE should immediately ADD THiS MASTERPiECE to his/her level collection. No doubt.
Btw, seriously, in my opinion, you should not misuse J2O and readme files as chatboards for misc talk. Really. If people read your real life stories here later, they wont make much sense anymore.
Not a bad peice of work. Nice design and eye candy. And the Event placement if good all the way.
But, I do find that all the tubes make for confution, and take too long to get into your head on which goes where. Also, the base path isn’t the best ever, also the level is a little big.
Should be worth the download.
And Disguise, Tube Electric is a very nice tileset, really. :-)
