Mini tune – mini review.

The tune is about 1:15 long, mp3 format. The metal remix sounds really accoustic. 3 instruments used – drumset, lead, bass. I have no reservations to drums, lead guitar is okay, also. The bass is a bit louder than it should be, it’s also too simple.

Tune contains basic Chrysilis melodies, author didn’t care of song arrangement, as we can see. There are some mistakes in lead and even in bassline. I like the original ending.

(+) Ending
(+) Accoustic
(+) Drums
(-) Bassline
(-) Mistakes
(-) TOO short

If it was longer, and if it had better preparation, it could be nice tune. Also, make bigger band :D. Go download it, it’s interesting, anyway.

Although the Chrysilis track doesn’t lend itself for this kind of remix very well, it’s pulled off nicely.

Near the start of the track, I think there’s a bit of a mistake where the guitar doesn’t match the original melody. I immediately notice how the drums are somewhat drowned out by the other instruments. From there on, it’s a pretty accurate rendition of Chrysilis. I like how the bit at the end worked out.

Oh, and maybe you and me could team up sometime, I play drums =p

Reviewer’s Note: If it seems like I’m getting more and more vicious with these reviews, it’s probably because I’m getting tired of being disappointed by other peoples’ work. Or maybe I’m just tired of reviewing files overall. Therefore, this will be my last review for a few hours. . . .stop cheering. Yes you. You know who you are.

Introduction:
This is the normal-length version of the Sluggion theme in its fifty-nine second glory. It’s also played on a real electric guitar, similarly to the Medivo arrangement, but this one is actually half-way decent.

Song Analysis:
I dunno. I don’t like the fact you used the original drums for the drums in this song. As I said before, if you have to, just do the drums yourself. The old PSM Module drums just don’t make the song great.
You did a decent job on the guitar-playing. Much better than Medivo. There don’t seem to be any bad notes in this one. Just overly-short ones.

Final Analysis:
Not a bad rendition of Fanolint. Go ahead and download this one, folks. You shouldn’t be disappointed.

Introduction:
This is one of the worst renditions of Medivo the world has ever heard. Or at least I’ve ever heard.

Song Analysis:
Yuck. The only good part of this song is the parts near the ending. There are like a hundred bad — or at least bad-sounding — notes in this. And the combined guitars at 1:17 just sound terrible. Are you tone deaf or something? Additionally, you keep the original Medivo drums in the background. They’re quite overpowered by almost every riff from your mighty ax, Jack.
You’re obviously not an amateur with the electric guitar(I’m guessing. Heck if I know how much skill it takes to make a guitar go “Dun-nuh-nuh-nuh-nuh!!!” really loud.), and yet, this song makes you sound like one. The more I listen to it, the less I like it.

Final Analysis:
If you’re going to try playing this(and other songs, I would assume) on the electric guitar, do yourself(and others) a favour and learn to play the drums, then mix it together. Or even better, get yourself a backup drummer. A good one. I’d even settle for you redoing the drums in Impulse Tracker or FruityLoops yourself.
I do not, under any means, recommend this file for download.

i realy like the original song,
you made this song verry good but i missed some points:

you could turn the bass louder.
you could try some other drums.

Strange resample. Resampled by very good sample. Yes… But really badly resampled. It doesn’t fit together, those original drums are totally aaww with this guitar. First 20 seconds of guitar playing could be beared, by after them, it’s impossible to listen. Still that same, still with that ruxoring hard guitar, Bum – bum – bum bum and nothing more. I don’t like it.

Again, I’d like to say that I think this is really good. I like Marbelara a bit better, though. If you’re taking requests, I would love to hear Medivo. Sluggion would also sound great because of the slides in it.

Download reccomendation!

I don’t have time for a review now, but one I must say: this rox. MUST HAVE.

@Danyjel: This is NOT a sample. This is a real guitar, recorded and mixed with the drums.

Spiffy… I like it a lot. You should try and get a percussionist to play the drums instead of just using the ones that are all ready there. Hope to see more from you in the future. ;)

Download reccomendation to everyone.
