Good job, this program does what it claims and is so far the only one publicly available.
I’m not giving, however, a 10, for several reasons:

-The inclusion of the libraries msvcrtd.dll and MSVCP60D.DLL. These are DEBUG libraries and they’re not redistributable, which means including them constitutes copyright infringement. Build from a release configuration instead.

-The documentation is good — it didn’t say, however, the dimensions the images should have.

- Almost no error handling.

It’s a console program, just run it without arguments and it will print out usage information.
Anyhow, making this easy to use was never the purpose of this program, as it is explained in the description. However, anyone can take this and make a nice GUI if he wants to, as long as he does it under the terms of GPL.

Yes, this requires the extension php_sockets.dll. I’m not that good at PHP, so i don’t know whether there are other methods, but I would welcome any information on that.

First of all, I had never seen such a clumsy dialog:

Ping 0ms?
Why did the character editor return an error? Btw, it can be much more enhanced.
The pathset.exe… well… shouldn’t exist… You’re complicating the things unnecessarily.
I also got a 252164ms (!) ping… Kinda odd… Not to mention sometimes the servers had no uptime…
Oh… and… It showed ‘teri’ on the version field… A sort of strange version… btw, it was a 1.24 x server…

To sum up, this program shows potential but it is way too buggy. I prefer Jazztool…

Type /readsl anywhere and push enter or use the status, query or channel popups, that is, right click somewhere on those windows

btw, i guess you’ve chosen not to run the initialization commands. if you had, you would had read the echo and would probably know what to do. Moreover, you have now to manually create the folders ‘cache’ and ‘saves’ on the directory wherein the script is. Alternatively, reload the script, this time choosing to run the initialization commands. Otherwise, you will probably get error messages like “* /write: unable to open ‘e:\Documents and Settings\Cataphract\My Documents\Scripts\JJ2 add-on\cache\data2.txt’ (line 779, jj2.mrc)”

Violet CLM: Read the description.

new edit: Pois bem… Violet, you probably only have a superficial knowlege concerning mIRC. Sure, JJ2 and mIRC and very different things: whereas mIRC is an IRC client, JJ2… well… you know what jj2 is.
However, mIRC is much more than an IRC client. It has a complex and relatively easy scripting language which is mainly used to perform tasks such as sending on-join messages, kick users who behave badly (e.g. flooding), costumize graphical aspects of mIRC, et cetera.
A deeper use of mIRC scripting allows you to create, for instance, simple games and daemoms, mp3 players, email clients, there are even ICQ and MSN clients. Much of this is NOT IRC related.
You’ll find in the zip file you can download from this page a text file containing the instructions telling mIRC how to show you the listed servers, what to do when you choose to click a certain button and so on. You just have to load the file and you shall be able to do what is written on the description afterwards.
I hope this little explanation was enough…[This review has been edited by Cataphract]

Great program. It has a ‘Server Info’ feature is sth I had never seen before in a multiplayer launcher. I myself had thought doing sth like that but I was too lazy to study the jj2 responses.
Besides, I can’t avoid mentioning the player edit fuction. The process of choosing the fur color is accompanied by a picture. Excellent.
Now… There are some bugs… It freezes temporally when tryting to connect to a list a server or to a server in order to retrieve the player list/level. If it is unable to do that it stops responding and I have to close it through Task Manager. Other times it indicates an error. ::: I saw some [0/0] (you should show sth like ‘??’ or unknown) and [5/3] (!) servers. Not sure if this last one happens owing to prog bug though. ::: Since it gave me a ‘Could not write to JazzTool.ini’ error (people must understand not everybody runs their progs with administration privileges. Use HKEY_CURRENT_USER to store the paths or, at least, the same folder jazztool.exe is in. Now… The windows directory?… Come on…) and didn’t terminate the prog, I had to close it through the Task Manager once more. ::: This new version did not detect my installations and hiding the non-susceptible-to-be-joined servers was not a good idea. ::: It loaded the 1.24 exe to load a 1.24 x server. This is grave.
And, of course, the option to start a server is missing, which is a pity for it’s a relatively easy thing to implement. I would suggest the possibility of saving the player definitions into a .reg file or similar so we could switch them easily and have a kind of ‘rabbit themes’. And an option to enter the server IP manually.[This review has been edited by Cataphract]
