hey, this level is cool, the eyecandy is good and there’s big fun. but sometimes it’s frustrating with all the dragon flies. maybe you can do a couple less?
i think this is a hard level to, speccialy for beginners, but is nice to.
it’s an 7.7
Lol, this level is hard! Really hard! Let’s have my rating in five lines at least!
Good things:
1 Eye candy: Exelect can’t be better
2 Animated tiles: Many of them yeah, good you made alot of animated tiles, good to you
3 Enemy placement: What are monkies doing in the Carrottus? I though they lived in jungle! So they founded the Carrottus, cool of them!
4 Diffucully/why: Medium, not too hard not too easy either! Just medium!
5 Stolen Carrottus: Who took them? Tuf Boss? Yes, I think so!
6 Fly: Lol, I can fly in this level, but the spike balls, outch! They hurts
7 Orange/eye candy: You used Orange looks like one eye candy! Good for you!
8 The eng boss: Lol, they’re spikes, and it’s not really hard to deafet Tuf Boss, I did it with my fast gun, you gave me alot of Fastfire, thanks!
Bad things:
1 Too easy to collange the coins!
2 I really much wan’t the stolen carrots! Please! :’(
3 The spike balls hurts me!
4 Just bouncy, no more weapons
Download recommand: Yes, of course!
8.5 from me! ;-) Have a nice day!
Very good for that age.
Here are some things that bother me:
(from Chandie)
1- There’s no eyecandy
2- Bad background and foreground usage
3- Using carrots stuff in the Easter titleset.
But a + point because it has a nice gameplay.
Why do you put background stuff on layer 4? I dont have the titleset for the secret level. But it still realy worth a 6. Only thing is the eyecandy, then this level is worth a 8 or higher.
This pack is not good. Because;
1-There’s no eye candy.
2-Bad background and foreground usage
3-Using Carrotus stuff in the Easter tileset. (Carrots)
Nice easter levels, but way too simple.
hey im the first to review a level! well anyways, this is a pretty cool level using the carrotus tileset. nice all-around gameplay.
[Unsupported (7.2) rating removal. Please give more details on why it’s good. – FQuist]
Mariek, study the tileset and other’s levels made with Carrottus tileset! And the backgrounds bug bad time. Copy the numbers of the speeds from other Carrottus level.
JelZe was right. The levels do have good and fresh ideas, but the levels have lots of tiling bugs. There are some weird things like pumpkins which can hurt you and etc…
But the secret level. Mariek, can’t you see that the conversions of JJ1 tilesets which are included with JJ2 are useless. There is no mask at all. There IS way better conversions available.
Shame that there is so much bugs. This would easily deserve a 8,5.
There’s finnish style in this level! Mariek has created a long and enjoyable level with Carrottus tileset. The event placement is good, not too much weapons or foods. But there’s anyway few things what are not so good. Firstly, the tileset use is different than the other Carrottus levels, but way too buggy. Secondly, you Mariek shouldn’t use events what you can’t handle.
But anyway if you right there wan’t good time with Jazz2, and if you don’t care about little bugs in the level, download this.
P.S. Mariek! Use One Way event!!
JelZe, Carrotus2 is secret level.
I just have to review this…i dunno why :)
OK, this level is almost like Carrotus (by Mariek), only with better eye candy. But the eye candy still needs improving, like enigma said, background tiles are used in the sprite layer (i bet she took that after her sister ;))
Conclusion: I was gonna give it a 5.5, but it’s narrowed down to 5.

Ok, if noone wants to review this i will do it…
The first level isnt that bad. The lay-out is very linear, eye candy is OK and it has some nice challenges… The things i didn’t like was that tiles that were meant for the background were used in layer 4, and the water part (toasters don’t work under water, but appearantly the author didn’t know). Also, on the lowest part of the level you see “floating background”, which is very bad. I couldn’t review the second level, because the author either forgot to uncheck the “Hide in Home Cooked Levels list” box, or forgot to set the next level setting to Carrotus 2.
Conclusion: I’m taking it mildly with one: a 5. Mariek, test your levels every once in a while. Also, i took .5 points away since you made it in TSF. (Levels are prefered made with version 1.23, if possible)[This review has been edited by JelZe]
Some people put tiles that belong in the sprite layer in the background, and sometimes that looks very good. Unfortunately this level proves that one should never put background tiles in the sprite layer. Most of this level is not so bad, but the eyecandy is so bad that it’s not pleasant anymore to play this level. Work a bit on eyecandy and the level will be much better.
