3 levels don’t work?
I guess i will try re-uploading
I still have my zip file with these levels on it so i unzip them and play them from where i unziped them and the levels work perfectly fine. Mayby it’s just your computer.
just in case I re-uploaded.
I can’t believe this!!!Only 2 out of the 5 levels work! This is not good. Not good at all.
BATTLE 2-This was a good choice of tileset.
AMMO-Plenty of it.It was placed OK.There was nothing special about it.What elss can I say other than it was a good try?7/10.
SIZE-Tut tut.You could have made this a lot bigger.I have seen bigger battle levels on the OEM version!!I wish that people could put more effort into their uploads.4/10.
EYECANDY-Cooool!!!!This is wicked!!One of the best peices of eyecandy I’ve ever seen!It is all laid out like on a table in a posh restaurant..cooooool.The gems encrusted into the walls were shiny and artistic.10/10.
BATTLE 5-Nice looking tileset. It looks neat.
AMMO-Plentiful.It was laid out very nicely and evenly.Quite good actually.I liked it.8/10.
SIZE-The same. You should really make your uploads larger.God damn it.4/10.
EYECANDY- Unluckely, the tileset didn’t have so much eyecandy biult with it.But you did try though.7/10.
GOOD POINTS-
Amazing eyecandy
Nice use of tilesets
Good placement of ammo
BAD POINTS-
Half of the levels didn’t work
Not very good size of levels
SCORE-Your final score is 6.7.I hope you find this review helpful in future level making.I think I will give download recommendation. You got away with it this time.
I started playing this. It is pretty good. There are many enemies. It makes game challenging. It seems that Devan (Jazz doesn’t know it’s HIS fault) has removed some parts of the city and the world (a cute way to say “MISSING BACKGROUND”). There is a roof. If you fall, you don’t get the bonus which is at the end of the roofs. More enemies. More challenging. Then I walk a way made from grass. Then I go into the Sewer. The thing that makes this frustrating is the lack of light. I need JJLIGHT to play this. There is a “Lizard Town” which is the lizards lair. Later I get out. Mmmh… It can be completed. There are enough carrots. I had average fun. Then i find another town (Jazz seems tired of towns). Then he gets in an underground haunted creep. He fights skeletons. Then he gets in a cave. He has to fight more and more. He finds that the usual Devan has made this invasion. And the boss is the USUAL, FRUSTRATING DEVIL DEVAN. Why don’t you try using my custom boss formation (if it’s possible)? This deserves a 6 for me. I’m not sure if this should be downloaded or not. i think both you and me should both work on our English.
Another Jazz adventure…Review….
THE BEGINING:
The intro starts out as “Bad guys – I thought this was a peaceful town” which doesn’t give you a lot of info about the story since you haven’t written one in the level discription. You spend the rest of the level fighting bad guys until you have to go into the sewers, lord knows why. The eyecandy would look good if you had used more layers and fixed those bugs. Not just the eyecandy bugs that make the level look bad, but the bugs that make you get to places you shouldn’t (eg The middle of the level in one of the buildings).
RATING 1: 4.0
THE SEWERS (OR SEURS):
Like the previous level, this has bugs. You can get stuck , those eyecandy bugs are still there and you seem to have put enemies everywhere. Near the end you reach a town where you still fight more enemies, without a clue what you’re doing and with Jazz complaining about how big the towns are.
RATING 2: 3.5
THE TOWN OF THE DEAD:
Again, there are bugs. You can get stuck in the caves, there are still eyecandy bugs and you seem to have lost track of the storyline. But this level isn’t as fustraiting as before because there is more space to move in and there isn’t as many enemies. But you overreward us with an extra life just sitting around that you can easily pick up. And those staleg-tingies in the cave do get annoying.
RATING 3: 4.2
THE CAVE OF THE DEAD:
Exactly the same as the city of the dead. Only there are even more extra lives lying around, Jazz starts complaining again and there is a boss that can jump out of its own arena. But by then, you forget why you’re fighting, the arena is very small and my computer suffered from an amnesia error.
RATING 4: 3.7

Rating Invaision
This is very well level-episode. Although it has some shortcomings, there is still sufficient fun.
Four good levels
In, around, on and under cities you must take off in four levels. There could always more come there, but these levels are fairly large and here and there considerable difficult.
Good things and shortcomings
The eyecandy is reasonable, but unfortunately here and there extremely difficult. Especially if you sit under the ground. That makes the levels very difficult, certainly for beginning Jazz Jackrabbit 2-players. That is a pity.
Moreover there is a bug at the fight with Devan Shell: he can jump away. If you a little bit to far from Devan, you must start entirely again with the fight.
Nevertheless there are also positive things. The levels contains a good number of bonusses. The enemies are good placed and sometimes is also complete funny what the rabbit ‘says’.
Conclusion
This episode certainly have a number of shortcomings.
But there is also a charming side: de text is lively, the enemies are good placed and there are enough bonusses. Fans of amuse theirself certainly with the episode. But for beginning JJ2-players this is no download recommendation.
“Jazz thinks caves are boring.”
download this!
BUGS (and only bugs…)
I am not going to rate it. I think it’s very cool. Idea of this level(s) is good.
Just one thing about making levels:
fix bugs.
here’s few buggies:
-in level 1 some walls are only on layer 3, that makes little holes in real walls.
-In some caves you can get stuck.
-Sewers arer too dark. Enemies can’t be seed. And it hurts.
-The devan boss. the battlearena is small, too small. Devan can fall of the arena. Also you can escape from the arena. (not good boss.)
This was a good idea but your level could have used LOTS more Eyecandy and music. I have decided to do a level like this but it will be harder. There will be Puzzles in it. There will also be more Eyecandy. Tileset I am using is “Top Secret ]|[.”
The level will be called “Froggy or Birdie.” If anyone can come up with a better name then PM me.
EDITED because of spelling error.
Not that bad! (Compared to your other levels) Good job!

Beautiful, Absolutly beautiful!! I mean this is the best level I ever played, and I played many! And no I’m not crazy.

The Reviewers are right YET!.
I kinda like it yet its not THAT! good.
I give it a 5
[Rating (5) clearance. Please provide more supportive information in your reviews. ~Cooba]
I can’t rate, because I haven’t got TSF, but you stolen my idea! I’m making a space CTF too! ;-)
i shall be back with all the sos levels someday, i have it planed that all those extra lives, well your gonna need them!
THIS LEVEL WAS EXTREMELY COOL.
EYECANDY: it was extremely good for the optins in the tile set.
Drawing style:This had an intestering color and style to it that i realey enjoyed
Tiles: Were extremely good even though thre were not many.
Adimation: Very good detail and wonderful signs. The adimation was just extreme
Music:The music was the best of all.If the music wondn’t have being so good i would have rated this level 4.5
[Unsupported rating (10) removal. Please. The music really doesn’t count for ~ 65% of the rating. You can’t rate a level you consider bad this way just because of the music. Also, your reasons for rating just lack. You say you like the level yet you wish to rate 4.5. It would be good if you would think a bit more about your reviews. – FQuist]
Now zen,
FILE TYPE: Tileset
COLOUR:
Ouch, thats bright. The light blue backround doesn’t give the tileset a cityish atmosphere. The colour for the sprite tiles is OK though.
RATING: 5.6
DRAWING STYLE:
Not good. The ground isn’t even and the backround came out of the trash. If you tried your best to make a level out of this, it would be hard to make it fit.
RATING: 2.8
TILES:
There is not enogh tiles to make this work. There is not enough tiles for eyecandy or makeing gameplay out of this.
RATING: 3.2
ANIMATION:
Surprisingly, I don’t see how any tiles could be animated.
DEDUCTION: 0.5

The tileset is under 4. Therefore, the example level makes not a great impression.

FINAL COMMENT:
I would try again.
One day, I was just wandering around when my brother was downloading latest downloads on J2O. He immediately latched onto Chet’s levels, laughing at them, pointing out all the bugs and being just nasty all the way. And – guess what? It was fun!
As you may guess, when I got the PC I started playing these. Maybe I could write reviews for all of them, but that would take too much time, so instead I’m just taking care of the one (or actually two) that got me most interested. Yeah, interested. It actually isn’t as boring as it may look at first glance!
you Will pay beccuse the dead R alive.!!
The story is very mysterious. In fact, we know nothing more than the fact that it’s apperently happening on 12:10 (after midnight I guess) when the dead come. And they hate us. In fact, the level texts even suggest that they use some sort of a tactic to attack us! Oh my. I just wonder what may it be, as it looks like the only way they do so are the two holes that make us go back. There’s also one more thing, but I have no idea who is really behind it – the dead or the player.
CLICK
Whatever you do, you will see this message, followed by “YOU RELEASED DEMONS”. Trigger? I think not. However, the way it’s done is plain awesome. This text is going to be my canon for the next few weeks! Now whenever someone does something that makes a click sound I say “YOU RELEASED DEMONS”! That should be a classic!
ROAR
These two levels are trying really hard to be scary. I must say that while I was actually having great fun instead of being scared, I found… mysterious stuff. As a Metroid fan, when I found some weird tunnel I thought “secret sequence break passage?!” Now I think I really have to cut down with game series. The tunnel led to nowhere. ;( What a shame! This was starting to get fun and then brutally shattered my dreams! Also, in both levels there are places with really LOTS of 1ups. Just so you can retry these “hard” levels as many times as you want. How kind! ^^
BE CARFUL.Thereas a TRAP!
Another thing that made me enjoy especially the first level were the really, really, really secret secrets! They’re so secret that probably the author himself didn’t know about them! This is better than hidden worlds in Metroid 2. With Spaz, I reached the unfinished parts of the level! AWESOME! With that, I could scale even higher to the empty, mysterious pieces, exploring the mysteries of Chet’s mind! THIS IS THE SOUL OF THE LEVEL BABE
Something tells me I am being watched
The second level was somewhat short… O r wasn’t it? I saw some pieces of it that I appearently missed… In fact, I probably did some sequence breaking (intended?), because I got to the boss which wanted to take my gems. Ouch. He probably meant the metaphoric version, as I barely had any actual gems… However, I saw a lot of them just behind the wall! Were they my property? I wonder how, as the beggining of the level clearly stated as it’s somebody else’s house… Boss’? No idea. Another SPOOKY MYSTERY (someone call Scooby-Doo and the gang!)
AND there he is.I’LL BE GOING!!!!!
There’s even more and more of the mysteries, as for example Eva appearing out of nowhere on hard difficulty (plus on easy and in multiplayer too, but if you’re playing on medium, better avoid the regal secret) or the mysterious voice giving you advice on harder parts. Yes, this set of 2 levels is one of the most intriguing downloads in the past few months… maybe even years… Especially that there is one more mystery in it that will probably never be solved. This mystery is… the sense of all this. And if you find it, you can call yourself the successor of Sherlock Holmes!

SCORE: 2.5
Pros:
(+) Gives a good laugh
(+) SECRET WORLDS ;D
Cons:
(-) Really bad eyecandy
(-) Completely random enemy placement
(-) Lack of sense
Those deth pits make it fun, anything wrong? I think n00b dosn’t like deth pits and this level of mine is good for geting your skills up.
The second version of Chets SOS levels.
LEVEL 1:
This level is ust simply ‘get from here to there’. There are no tile bugs but no eyecandy for the backround or foreground. The backround is textured with no bugs. The items in this level: some types were completely overused like extra lives and carrots. There isn’t enogh ammo or food. The enemies were overused in some parts but others had none (eg. The fencers near the exit). There was not enough spikes which caused the overusage of enemies to make the level harder.
The good thig about this level was that there was a veriety of gameplay but you could have used more spikes.
RATING: 3.5
LEVEL 2:
This one was better. There was more eyecandy and ammo. But you still overused extra lives (I had about 9 by the end of the game). The destructive blocks took too long to shoot and there wasn’t enough enemies. But the level kept you thinking ‘what do I do next?’ and ‘Where am I going?’. One minute you could be in this computer room, the next minute you could be in this land full of marsh. Still, the bad point keep this level down.

I would try these again with a coninued bit but with the advice I gave in the review.
Well i guess i’ll work on it i’ll work on…
EYECANDY ,ITEMS,GAMEPLAY,SIZE,MUSIC
And all that has been changed!
After chet208s first domonation of the board, I wanted to review one of his/her levels. But the internet stopped working. Chet continues to keep the board covered in his/her name.
Now to the review:
EYECANDY:
Not a great start, many tileugs espesially on walls and ceilings. No backround or foreground eyecandy. Infact, the 8th and 4th layer are the only layers that provide eyecandy. Next time, use more layers.
RATING: 2.7
ITEMS:
Dissapointing, there is a maximum of 2 types of ammo. No food, no gems and no powerups. A wider range of items don’t make the level feel empty. Also the only gun types you used were 2 (ice) and 7 (TNT) which are by far the most dissapointing. Some areas were full of items whilst others had barely any.
RATING: 1.8
GAMEPLAY:
A bit of gameplay, but not a lot. There is a vine, some blocks to shoot, a few shortcuts and V-poles. The level still lacked gameplay and made the level feel even more empty.
RATING: 2.1
SIZE:
The race was too short and some areas were too difficult to move around. Some areas were large with no iems in or gameplay and some were small and were filled with items (eg. Near the beggining).
RATING: 2.8
MUSIC:
