I can’t believe this is still here! I was working on a sequel, that featured an all new tileset (daytime and nighttime) and better environments (no more getting stuck in things) along with more realistic skateboard “physics” (the board flowed with the player better). I was going to call it Jazz’s Pro Skater :) The tilesets were all finished and I was working on four levels. It took place in California, and there was this cool section in the last level where there was an illusion of jumping between the foreground and the background.
Sadly, I was using Windows ME in those days and not backing stuff up, so when the computer went kaput, my work was lost, and I never got the urge to mod for JJ2 again.
C’est la vie
Rating Wild Evil:
To start:
This disappointing episode is no download recommendation. Why not, that will I tell you now.
Bad Goodies Placement:
In this level much too much goodies have been placed. Too much blue gems. There are also too much green.
Much too difficult:
There are too many enemies. The level are very cumbersome, even if you play on Easy. I was as a matter of fact also able to finish the level with Lori. I think that is also impossible.
Boss:
The end boss is also much too cumbersome. The rotten Bilsy fight from fire. I have played this level 29 times and I are not able to beat him. VERY DIFFICULT for starting JJ2-fans.
Conclusion:
This disappointing episode is no download recommendation.
Mark: 3,0
Download recommendation: NO!
Alright. Thankfully, this is uploaded as singleplayer instead of as tileset.
The level idea is pretty original. This was made long ago and still I’ve yet to see another level having an idea like this one. But the level itself isn’t so good, which is mainly fault of the tileset quality. You’re basically skating through the whole level (except for the part where you turn into a frog) and the level isn’t really big. The enemy placement could’ve been a lot better, I saw many enemies just standing on one spot stuck in a tile, and some where too evily placed to avoid gettign hurt by. Overall, I really didn’t like it. There were also parts where I got stuck (the part where I was a frog mainly) and parts that were too narrow and filled with enemies like dragons and ravens which were hard to kill in this type of environment. The level is logical though, and it does somewhat look like a skate park (in most places, some just look strange) and it isn’t really horrible in any way, just could’ve been made better. Eyecandy could’ve been more plentiful in the foreground, and tiling bugs could’ve been covered up in layer 5. The backround layers (the buildings) were done alright though, looking at the set the backround could’ve been far worse. The skateboard in layer 1 was also decently placed, most of the time it looked like you were actually standing on the board.
To conclude the review, this level has a nice idea, but it could’ve just been improved a bit, and it was made so long ago that it just doesn’t compare with some of the levels made today. I still think this level is alright though, and I’m in a fairly good mood (don’t know why though), so I’ll give this a 6.I liked the level much because it’s so funny. Minus points: tiles ripped from other tilesets (although I do it myself) :) and the frog getting stuck. Rabbits skating are very good.

Although it does have very good gameplay (levels quite long too) it has pretty bad eyecandy. It’s not bad at all, but you should focus a little more on the background and other layers. Good job.
This tileset is quite funny, and the humor reminds me of MidN’s School tileset series, one of my favorites. Overall, this tileset isn’t very good, but it’s hilarious. If not for the quality, download for the humor of it all.

yippieyee another jazz2 skin
i like skins
but…
I CANT SEE THE SKIN!!![This review has been edited by STEELIX]
Actually, I don’t like this skin very much. It is a plain black skin with some red an yellow colors. The Big Jazz/Spaz pic looks ugly cos it is deformed. The special cursors were pretty nice, but not nice enuff to make this a good skin. Try to create a goodlooking skin, make it look nicer, use more colors, and keep the cursors.
Yes, another one.
Frankly, I had to curb my expectations when I downloaded this. I’ve seen a few JJ Winamp skins, and none of them have been very good.
This one, however, isn’t half bad. In fact, it’s pretty good visually. Very pleasent look to it, and the cursors are very nice.
It takes a minimalist approach, but that is perfectly acceptable at times.
All in all, this one COULD have gotten a higher rating, but it gets a 7 and not, say, a 9, because this skin basically kills some of Winamp’s functionality.
What I mean to say is, I hope you don’t fiddle with your equalizer a lot, because this skin completely hides the EQ beneath a nifty Jazz/Spaz pic.
The resulting look is good, but effectivly eleminating one whole window requires a lower scoring.
Why do I still give it a 7? Isn’t that pretty high?
Well, maybe, but if you’re like me and have one special EQ setting that you keep Winamp on all the time, then the fact that this skin hides the EQ shouldn’t bother you. In fact, you’ll probably like it.
Bottom line: It has a nifty minimalist look to it, and if the lack of an EQ doesn’t bother you, you’ll probably like it.

Nooooooooo, not another one! :P
Terrible masking, very glitchy.
Doesn’t look good (you couldn’t ahve made it look good.)
All tiles stolen except for a few poorly done ramps.
I had to try a few times to pass it but kept getting into glitches.
Good and orginial idea though. :)
Next time give more time to it.
NO download recomendation..
(Rating removal. While the review itself was acceptable, there was no need to rate so low. -Trafton)[This review has been edited by Trafton AT]
This is one of the most original levels I have seen for a long time. The tileset may be made of ripped tiles from Dethmans tileset, 7th Lava falls, quite afew of the tiles from that were off Unreal and Unreal Tournament (another Epic game). The background could have been better, I take off some points for that. The images of rabbits on skateboards were good I have to admit, I think one of the pics is from when Jazz gets out a carrot :)
The level is cool with the grind poles, and the jumps (whatever they are called). The effect of jumping and the board not following looks good because it seems like you’ve jumped off the board (I’ve forgotten what that is called). I think you have missed afew tiles though, such as the dotted ones :), they look ok in some ways, but when your a frog, they are a major error.
Thats about all I can think about to review this on, oh, and I think your choice of boss at the end was exellent :)[This review has been edited by ET]
This is a pretty spiffy litle tileset, creating a nice skateboarding envirement. Most of the tiles where ripped from Overlord ‘Top secret’ set and Dethmans ‘7th Lava Fall’ seT. I think you can be happy o’ll Dethy is’nt around here anymore, because if he would see this, there’d be no telling what he’d do. For as far i know, Overlod is’nt to hard on people using tiles from his sets:P. The tileset is pretty sweet and stuff. It has some basic tiles, and also some new, nice looking ones, like Jazz and Spaz on skateboards and stuff. Even ‘tho this is a new tileset, it was uploaded as single player, so i will be fair, and rate the level, not the set. The level makes pretty nice use of the set, It uses the pretty coolishly tracked ‘Aryx’ tune, wich does’nt ‘REALY’ fit in, but is still a nice adition. The level itself is not to hard or long, but still pretty fun. It uses some skateboarding texts and stuff like that, wich is pretty neat. Its not very good though, but i woke up in a good mode today, so this 6.0 is yours.
nifty original funny
Nice idea, avarage design, ripped tiles..
Cool! (-D
Lol. This is the funniest upload I’ve seen in a while, and that gets you extra points.
The whole level has you on a skateboard, skateboarding around on jumps and stuff. Plus, silly text events are added to help the general feeling. The bad part is the tileset.
It’s mostly tiles from 7th Lava Fall, by Dethman of ML. There are also some funny screenshots of colored rabbits, in excellect poses. But I think you didn’t upload the most recent version of the tileset, because there are lots of those tiles that are just two pure white lines forming a right angle. A frog can not move while on top of one, and you have froggy going on one. -1.0
I give you a 7.0 for the sheer feel/humor of it all, and -0.3 for the copied 7th Lava Fall tiles. :-D
calm down, calm down. im kinda new at this. dont focus on the background so much. focus more on difficulty :)
