Mercenaries
The Mercenaries (acronym: MERC) were an old clan, led by Onag. Onag created the clan to provide a positive influence in the community. Its members were supposed to not just play online under the MERC flag, but also help in the community. Many of MERC’s members actually did this. For example, Wakeman was the main updater of Jazz2City at the time MERC was active and also headed Jazz 2 Stuff, and Onag himself led jcsREF and TryMeComp, among other things. Syntax was the mind behind the quite successful JDC, and Ice M A N led Tileset Creation 101, while FQuist maintained the Unofficial Daily Carrot. Admael was one of the most active JMMB administrators.
The clan later became more inactive, and leadership was turned over to Ice M A N. The clan eventually merged with EG, the Elite Guys, and was renamed into EM, short for Elite Mercenaries. EM later merged with DL/Dark Legion, creating DM, one of the popular clans nowadays.
