h3(#h-1). Introduction

Basically my small little section of the wiki. I’ll be improving this over time because right now I don’t have much to include in this. I’m only including some backround info and my accomplishments right now, since I guess they’re what matters the most.

h3(#h-2). Backround Information

Name: Vlad

Birth Date: July 9 1991

Location: Canada (born in Ukraine)

How I got JJ2: One of the first games I ever had on a PC was Jazz Jackrabbit 1 and I greately enjoyed it. Unfortunately I had no idea a sequel was made to it until one lucky day somewhere in September 2001 I was in an old chinese games store (old games) and found a single copy of Jazz Jackrabbit 2. Remembering Jazz Jackrabbit 1, I bought the game (for 2$ canadian only, too). Being young at the time, I loved the game, and soon got into the level editor for it as well. While using a miscellaneous internet search function and browsing JJ2, I came upon Jazz2Online. Looking at it I found it an enjoyable site, and a few months later registered onto it and began contributing levels and playing online soon after.

h3(#h-3). In-game History

I first discovered online play during the summer of 2002, where I played regularly under the nick of Blackraptor. I kept improving at the game at a relatively fast rate during that fall due to constant play, and I had a few duels for JDC 7 and was quickly recruited into a clan (RR, Rabid Rabbits) by Darker. The clan continued to grow during the fall and achieve more members, and I was releasing a lot of my levels on J2O, and my ratings improving. During the beginning of winter I encountered router problems preventing me from playing online jj2 play, which lasted for well over a month. Eventually, with aid of community members on the JCF, I had managed to solve the problem, but in my absense I missed a lot of important events, and RR ended up dying out.

2003 was a very active year for me, I had participated in the JDC season and had an insane number of matches, and continued to release levels regularly, the majority of them being Capture the Flag. I was also one of the first people invited into BlurredD‘s newly formed clan, [Si]. Near the end of 2003 I had also started to become a frequent visitor to the community IRC channel #jj2, and had been recruited into OLC during the summer season.

2004 had been less active for me than 2003 had been, and lack of interest, reoccuring router problems and interest in other games greately decreased my activity in game, although I was still a regular in the community.

2005 saw a lot of events take shape. I had been particularly active during the summer, attending the EC2005 meeting as well as being very active in this year’s JDC season. I was frequenting #jj2 daily and also participating in a mock presidential campaign on the JCF along with Iri (which we narrowly won). This was my most active period for the game and community as a whole, however it only lasted a few months. After the JDC season ended my appearances on JJ2 became very infrequent, and I saw myself as finished with the game.

I was sparsely seen playing the game in 2006, except for attending the yearly Anniversary Bash. I had lost the interest and motivation that enabled me to play the game as regularly as I had in the previous years.

  • Got the Level of the Month Award
  • Elected Vice-President of the JCF (Along with Iri the President) in 2005 (This is more of a joke thing but whatever ;P)
