First, i want to say you have a cool nickname ;)
Well. About the level. It’s cool. I really luv the froggy part. Foo Fighters rulez. The ammo and event placement is nice, the gameplay is good, and the enemy’s are average. Maybe a bit too less. The puzzles are weird :). Well, I dunno what to say more. Only one thing: Sometimes I was “bumped” on a enemy. I don’t like that. You’re warned ;). The Impossible mission theme rulez and this level gets a 7,5 from me. Download this now if you want to have a good 2002. Happy new year all!
This was my first review in 2002. Yay :)!
I didn`t like this Race not at all. Some places are very boring and takes long to come out. There are to much springs. And where are the RF`s for?, you arnt battling in a race level.
But because it`s ya first race lvl, I won`t rate it so low.
And o yeah, how come people start building instantly race levels?…[This review has been edited by Super Saiyan]
This level isn’t bad. It has a decent layout, bearable eyecandy (a good thing), and decent gameflow.
I didn’t, however, find anything outstanding about this map, and the whole thing seemed to be uncreative and uninspired. I have seen a lot of battle levels before, and to me this one isn’t too different.
Suggestions for this level:
Utilize the foreground layers more. You would be suprised how much better your level would look with a few creative uses of foreground. Also, I didn’t really like how part of the BG scrolled faster than the sprite layer, nor did I like how rushed the background looked. Next time, spend more time on it.
I give this level a 6.7, which I consider good for a battle level. It is very hard for me to come across a battle level I can actually give a score of 8 or higher to, so don’t take this as a bad score. You were just unlucky that I decided to review this level :P
This is a fairly well made race level, one with a good length and fairly original obsticles. The only real complaint I have is about the part where you have to hit trigger zones to go through warps. I found that part pretty monotonous after the second one of those rooms. Other than that one flaw, I found playing in it enjoyable and not too frustrating. Overall I would say the design is good.
As for the eyecandy, I have to say that it could have used a bit more work. To me it was merely average, which I don’t really like.
I consider every other aspect of this level to be good, so I am giving this level a 7. Good job.[This review has been edited by EvilMike]
It is realy nice level.you should think about makeing Single player pack,it would be a very good thing!
That’s exactly what I was thinking about :-)
Great level.everything looks okay, especialy those puzzles.
It is realy nice level.you should think about makeing Single player pack,it would be a very good thing!
Very neat with good eyecandy and gameplay. It isn’t confusing either. Download recommendation? Yes.
It’s good, but I’ve seen better. Make your race lvls BIGGER Splash. ;-)
It is powerful level. Long and good. (no short as you rewiev me level) I love your level. Long, have springs….(to change long story short i have custom that “….” no say all)
You missed 1 point for no enemies, spikes and other hurts. it is powerful master!
It is a cool race-level. Uses the D amn Tileset, wich is kinda unused. The eyecandy of the level is good. Ammo is good placed. And there is some text what shouldn`t be in a race level,
you can slower people with that, like when they are reading it :) And the music Sux!!! The design and the quality of the level is Great! Gameplay lowers points because it`s crappy on some places. But anyway…It`s now almost 2:30 hour before newyear starts…So im away!!!!…….Çya.
LIVE with a 7.7 in 2002 :P And a happy newyear.[This review has been edited by Super Saiyan]
Ha ha ha ha ha ha! “Thank you to playing me level.” You´re welcome! I like winter. They are winter today. If you like CARROTTUS tile set prewive ne level-pack named “welcome to garden.” I like end boss and frog hazard. I will give you 9!
p.s. You missed 1 point for no leyers in forgrounds and backrounds. Only backroound leyer 3, 4 and forground leyer 1.
Wow!,
this is a kinda proffesional level (i think). It has fun playfeeling, and the puzzels rule!, some are like the ones in Tomb Rabbit. A must have level, maybe single player-level builders will learn something from it :p
I think this is a good level. Everything thing in it is nice, though the eye-candy seems to be a little random and unorganized. It’s like a 7.7, but I’m making the rating a tad bit higher since no one really uses this tileset.[This review has been edited by BlurredD]
I guess this will be my final review for 2001, :), let’s get going!
The level was pretty good. It uses the Carrotus tileset (very overused!), but heck with that ;). The layout was good. The fun was spread over the whole area, it’s not that you suddenly enter a huge open space, everywhere you go there is something to solve or fight. The author did not use any background layers (or, if he did, I could not locate them). However, the great amount of (great) puzzles made up for that -Puzzles were excellent. The paths are lineair at times, but it is always filled with carrots, flowers etc. etc. In the whole level, I could only find one bug – there is a plant growin out of nowhere. I think the author is on his/her way to become a JCS pro, post more of your stuff! A 7.7. next time, use more layers, add a nicer music and I think you will be on your way to…err…victory! :)
To be honest, it’s a lot better than I thought it would be. It has decent eye-candy and it’s easy to play in, but I did see some problems.
The level may be a little too small, it uses swinging vines which won’t work in multi-player, the exit isn’t marked, and I’m not too sure about using food in Treasure levels. Other than that, it’s a good level and you should download it anyway.
You can´t say where I found. If tile set is no in jazz jackabbit2 download it tile saet too.
Awesome levels… Just perfect… What more is there to say?
