-Edit: I have noticed several overlooked bugs.. most importantly that one of the warps in Puzzle of the Wierd does not advance the lap counter. I will release a patch soon… with a few fixes and improvements. This will not be a second release… I will make that later with improvements to all levels (and you might even get to see four more laps in “A Mess of Tubes” ;) – but that’s only if I get around to it.). Expect the patch in a week or so and the update in a few months.

I cannot believe people actually couldn’t beat this lol. It is pretty easy to beat if you save 600 times. The key to winning this is saving and experimenting. But this was soooooo cool. It took me 3 days to beat I know no one will be able to read this though.This level was just so cool, it was almost better than Shellions Extreme Revenge. I’m talking about Tomb Rabbit. The puzzles were sorta easy. The music rocked, though how come there wasn’t music on every level. And yes I beat the level. I cheated sometimes because I forgot I couldn’t save in the Central Cave. But I didn’t fully cheat like use JJ God though this level deserves a —.

Um this doesn’t work for Windows Media Player 7 I thought it did. Because WMP has a skins directory. Or maybe it does. What’s the name of this skin?

I’ll only rate SP, tilesets and lvls from new artists from now on, and i won’t be on the net, but i’m willing to make exceptions (especially with tubelectric, MAN i love that set!)

Ahem…OK, since this is your 2nd level, Assassin, i’ll be gentle. This list will say enough :)

Strong points:
- It’s circular (i love circular levels, don’t you?)

Minor points:
- It’s TSF, not everyone has it.
- Almost no eye candy
- Layer 3 covers not enough (remember, also cover the edges!)
- Music (metal.mod) doesn’t fit (that music is included with TSF, thank God)

- The tunnel with the floor and ceiling springs is too smal, the level however is big enough for my likes…
- The weapons are all in the same place.
- Some tiles aren’t used properly

Conclusion: Not a download recommendation, but since it’s a newbie level, i’m willing to drop minor point 1 to 4. It’s become a 5.5

OK, the critic has arrived! :P

OK, it’s a very conversion of the Technoir set (one of my favs in JJ2), altough some tiles are missing, others are made the wrong way, bla bla bla…But it’s good enough to make a decent level with it. :) I didn’t rate the example, because the version of WinZip that i have cuts names short. You can guess the result ;)

Conclusion: Good JJ1 tilesets are rare, especially of the first…18 planets. :) Worth a 7 at first, boosted to 7.2

This took me 15 mins because of the deadly walls. :) It is the rare single-player lvl, but more of them seem to be coming out these days. I found the ratings of the puzzle should have been placed in the ReadMe, so there is more of a reason to read it.

Plus, I’ve had this tileset for a year. ;) Not too new to me, just blue blocks, a little shooting star thingie, and some other assorted things. IMO, tileset choice could be a bit better. This is a good, solid download that is better than average. You decide if you wanna download this or not. :)

Cool! I really like this pack! It includes two levels with nice alliterations in their names AND it uses the underused but great tileset called “Colon”.
The design is creative and original (for example, the waterfalls in the second level) and the eyecandy is pretty good.
The only thing i’ll critizize is the shortness of the levels. If you needed only 5 minutes to get through them, you were already slow :-)
The music in “Sewer Surfing” doesn’t fit but thats a minor problem i guess.

All in all, i recommend to DOWNLOAD THiS LiTTLE PACK. It’s five minutes of Single Player fun and maybe an inspiration for your personal future level creations (hint, hint! :-).

“MasterBlasters” (isn’t that another dull name?) is a very colourful tileset including a pretty large example level.

The set has about 350 tiles containing things like basic structures (walls, blocks, arrows, several obstacles), the usual letter tiles (as seen before in lots of other tilesets), some details like a TV, a PC or a toilet and some nice animations. There also is a weird 3D background, which i don’t like too much. Same with the colours, they are too bright and somehow it seems to me the author only wanted to use 16 colours or something. The masking is appropiate.

As for the example level, i’m not amused: it’s a hotel, it has pinball events, the design is kinda confusing and the event and tile placement could be improved in my opinion. A background music is missing.

Overall, tileset collectors and hotel lovers will definitely like this. The average J2 fan may also want to have a look at it. I’m not sure (undecided between 5.5 and 6).[This review has been edited by Aiko]

Not a bad WinAmp skin from a fellow german Jazzer (Moin Raiden! :-). But actually i really don’t have much too say about it. People who collect those skins might want to download it!? Yeah, probably!

The level is really good and I like the idea of the falls, the sewer wasn’t dark, but since I know that the Colon tileset used, is really hard to make a 6.5 is fair I think.

Well I have to say that was a good pack. Um, well didn’t really know you that much other than bragging about your win against me. I too am a level creator (Download my level!). So the first level the town had repetitive baddies and so did the Surf level. I understand that because you probably ran out of animation structures. And that Water Ski idea is sweet! Good level, I urge you to make more levels. Other stuff was: the cave wasn’t dark! Um I put the level on hard and the map isn’t even hard. So it was too easy. How many levels did you make exactly. Oh well even if the Water Ski idea isn’t yours at least you didn’t take credit for that[This review has been edited by JJ Tublear]

Great story (But why did the warp d00ds give the non-warp d00ds the weapons?)

First thing that I noticed is a important one. THERE IS A SPAZ BIAS! That means that some areas can ONLY be gotten to by Spaz! There are no areas like that for Jazz, so .5 is knocked off for that. The layer4 eyecandy seems unfinished, without the side peices used to make the lvl look better. The carrots in the background and foreground were O.K. though. In my opinion, the design is semi-liner. There is only 1 or 2 paths from side to side. The design seems like there was just tiles placed by a extremly intelligent lab monkey. I also noticed a bad placement of some events. The powerups were easy to get to, or hard to get to. The ice was the hardest to get to, and that is the worst power-up. You should have switched the ice with the seekers. Overall, the feel of this level was rushed. This lvl reminds me of one of my newbie lvls, A Dark Night in Carrotus! ;) (EDIT!
