First question: Why did you convert it to 1.23? (Heh, i’m kidding. Don’t get mad, kids :-)
Now, "F5 Torment" (funky story about the level name in the readme btw) is another cool level showing us "ZA’s good sides". The main aspect of the good side is the layout: its just cool (very fluently playable)!
Besides, it’s one of the few non-hotel levels using MEZ!‘s first tileset (well, that may be a bit overdone but thats my job here :-).
Fine, and the bad side? There isn’t one. Eyecandy and everything else is great. Some reviewers won’t like the powerups but if you ask me (as a battle freak), i really like them :-)))
About the music: you can’t do anything wrong with a tune by Skaven of FC (he’s definitely one of the legends!). Needless to say, it sounds terrific!

Overall, another super l33t MUST DOWNLOAD by Commander Dats, who already became one of my favourite Jazz2 level makers of all times.

Not bad for a first level, i’d say! :-)
"Rock Haven" is my favourite level using Disguise’s super cool "Mountain" tileset. The tileset is very well used and there’s nothing to complain about design (open, many platforms) and eyecandy. Event placement (weapons, springs) is quite good, too. The music…well i don’t have (english :-) words for it: just too awesome!!! One of my Top 500 modules (that means a lot!). Same with the level, its definitely in my Top 250 of all times.

Conclusio:
A MUST DOWNLOAD for everyone. No matter of what age, gender, religion, skin colour or version number (;-).

P.S.:
One small bug was found though: the next level setting is wrong (level doesn’t exist in this pack).

One more time, its an awesome tileset and level pack by Commander Dats.
The design of the level is very very good and so is the eyecandy. The weapon selection includes a few powerups, but that’s not a downfall in my opinion :-)
The “Plastic Dreams” tileset is just beautiful and used well in this level.
The music choice definitely hits my taste: i could spent hours and hours just standing in the level and listening to the music.

To conclude my review, i can only bow down to Commander Dats for another coolish (tileset and) level and RECOMMEND “Plastic Fortress of Vytoh” (cool name, somehow!) as a MUST DOWNLOAD for everyone (low eight points).

"De-Con-Structor" is still one of my favourite levels using MEZ!‘s third tileset. It’s open, platformish, allows super fluent navigation and makes a perfect battle arena.
The music – a-w-e-s-o-m-e-!!! Superb choice, as always, Dats (as far as i remember i even told you how much i loved the music when you originally posted it at UJ :-).

Overall, a very cool level to DOWNLOAD and add to your collection.

First off, i have no idea why the author is complaining about his own music selection: i, as a big fan of oldskool chiptune like the one used in this level, am completely happy with it. Actually, i love the music!!!
Err…well okay, lets talk about the actual level. Hmmm, seems like…i love it, too!
Disguise’s awesome "Blue World" tileset is used perfectly, the design is just as i like it ("ZA style" i guess), the eyecandy is very good and the weapon selection still is okay.

Overall, i definitely RECOMMEND EVERYONE TO DOWNLOAD THiS LEVEL. The "Doomsday Blues" really rocks! A MUST for every battle fan.

Another great level from South Africa. "Dungeons of Vytoh" (interesting name btw) uses a selfmade tileset by Commander Dats (which looks darn cool) and mainly consists of platforms, platforms and…you guessed it. The whole level desing is very open and therefore fluently playable, which makes it a great fun in an online battle.
The only small downfall is (in my opinion) the original "Castle" music: it doesn’t fit too well here.
Every fan of this style of levelbuilding (thats everyone, right?) should iMMEDiATELY move his mouse cursor to the download button.

A massive lack in eyecandy, bad event placement (about 12 extra lifes in one place?), extreme shortness (wow, not even ONE minute) and the never ending use of the "Carrottus" tileset make this level a good candidate for the "butt ugly level of the week" ;-) No, don’t take it personally, Blagh, but "Spank ‘em!" can’t get a download recommendation from me. Sorry, you
should just spent A LOT more time on making your levels :-)

Btw: Music was not/wrong set in the level properties. Not a good idea, as you can imagine.

And by the way, as iCED already said, i don’t like the fact that “Fastrack.j2b” is included in the ZiP: it’s a MASSiVE waste of web- and diskspace.

“War Maze” is a pretty weird level that uses the nice “Alien Carnage: Office” tileset by Astronia (?).
The level itself isn’t too great: the author obviously tried to put some eyecandy in it (good idea!), but the design is too confusing. Furthermore, it has enemies (i thought it was a battle level?) and way too many blinking and annoying stuff. If you already got a headache (like me today :-) you shouldn’t even THiNK about downloading this level.
The music works for me by the way (i dont’t like it, though).

Overall, slightly below the average.

P.S.: Next level setting is missing (bad idea for a multiplayer battle map)

oops, forgot… due to the restraints of 1.23 (no trigger zones), i could not convert it from 1.24.. i forgot to select 1.24 and the edit script still has a “query problem…” ;)

Despite okay eye candy, I really don’t like this too much. It had a linear layout with a basic design. “Puzzle” related levels usually don’t make for good battle levels. Especially since puzzles are usually linear. Take this for example.. the bg and use of different tiles wasn’t bad, but overall I can’t see much of a reason to download this. Sorry.

Btw, don’t include official music files like fastrack.j2b in your ZIP. It just adds to the download time and wastes J2O server space.

“War Maze” is a simple, maze oriented (bad idea) level with lots of animating tiles and weirdly placed events. The way this was put together has a very confusing feel, I don’t see much of a point to chat rooms, etc. etc.. the bg was weird and I didn’t like it too much…

Another annoyance: the bg music doesn’t play.

Sorry, I can’t recommend a d/l for this.

Nothing much to add to Aiko’s review, has some nice tiles (a little choppy), also includes a nice little example level with music (that doesn’t play)

Overall I’m sure someone would want to d/l this.

I have to agree with Aiko on every part of his review. The tileset even if Pixel size was better, they are still kinda….Low in eyecandy (But NES games were low on eyecandy :-) (Perhaps a Mario All Stars version would be prettier….)

P.S. I doubt I will ever finish my SMW pack. It takes too long to copy from the book.
