MASTER FIEND
with ROCKY - A REISSUE

If you don't need to know what to do or what the pack is, don't bother with
this either.
But if you want, take a look at the rundown of stuff.

WHAT ON EARTH IS IN HERE (CONTENTS)

See three amazing things . .

I. THE LEVELS

II. THE AUDIO

III. THE README

PART ONE: All three levels

Feast your Jazz2 game on these three old levels. The premise of this pack
is to
rerelease three old (dating to 1999) but usually enjoyed levels done by
myself
and good acquaintance Master Fiend. Master Fiend would visit and we would
set up
levels like these:

MISSION:FIENDISHNESS(2fiend.j2l)
A MEZ-tilesetted capture piece set up around unrelated platforms, a tall
tube, and probably too
many hidden powerups. Where the mission:impossible idea came from i'm not
sure, but that's
the idea. This is the best known level done by the team becoming in that
time a
moderately used multiplayer level and in that first anniversary server. The
level
remains intact although a few errors and too many colored text events were
fixed.

The password to this level has been erased - if you want a look, press
enter.
The second capture level does not link to this one, but you can do this
yourself
by changing the NextLevel field. Try to use Ambient Lighting for the old
effect.

FIENDISH FORTRESS(2fiend.j2l)
This second capture was not released on Jazz2City to my knowledge. It
is quite ramshackle, based mostly around the ambient sounds. It's quite one
dimensional, which is a shame, however it is at least finished. This
recieved
little play, not being released, but being so simple and plywoody it also
wasn't recieved too well by players.

This is why Mission:Fiendishness is not linked to this other one, the
lesser
quality. However it is quite playable and not ugly or anything. You know
you
can beat some play out of this, and maybe some unique gameplay.

FIENDISH SAFARI(3fiend.j2l)
A similarly-named but different level in that it's the Battle of the pack.
A jungle setup, not giant-sized, but with room for heated battle. Most of
the level is naviagble 'jungle platforms' and side areas, but the bottom
of the level has a mine-like area with gems that will be of no use to you.

This level is completely as it was before, which doesn't matter because it
had much less exposure. This is the easiest level to use, very
straightforward
and requiring little specifics. Not that the others do either.

OTHERS
Master Fiend is not releasing this pack with me since he doesn't play - not
that
I'm around so much myself. But regardless a good deal behind these levels
was his
work. Other scraps of levels or edits have been done however -
as simple as Fiendish Safari using the darker Jungle tileset, linked to an
internet-friendly version of the colonius thing I did, to three other
levels
left alone (And are not included, naturally!):

FIENDISH MAULAGE
This was a third "fiend and rocky" level done in that 'one mez tileset' and
the
idea of this and was going to basically be long and not tall.

MINE OF FIENDISHNESS
This was started in Jungle2 with a nice cloud of red mist. Basically it was

supposed to be a full-level version of the mine from the original Fiend
jungle level. The water level was dropped significantly and there were
only hut platforms and ground (not trees), since it was a mine.

TOTEMIC TOTALITY
The most nondescript of the already nondescript later rejected levels, this
was another Jungle level .. either with some totem poles in a front layer
or in layer four. (Wow)

PART TWO: Both of those audio files

Fiendish Safari used the ingame Jungle music, which made it easiest on the
internet play - but the other two use a custom and a half-custom set of
tracks for the background music.

(Haunted.it)
This is for Fiendish Maulage. Startling. It comes with TSF, so if
you have that, this is unnecessary to unzip. This is otherwise a
better-known
file since it belongs to a Jazz2 game, so you may already have it as well.
It's only included for those who don't.

(Mission.s3m)
Mission:Fiendishness uses this one, which is also not so unusual.
You'll probably only have this if you already have the level (which
you should still update). This means you ought to unzip this file
for certain.

PART THREE: Ending the readme

The readme file was an unneeded and over-elaborated piece of information
about the Master Fiend/Rocky pack.

Use the levels on the internet if you want. Be bored and use them from the
home-cooked levels list. Open them in JCS because all of the passwords are
erased.
Maybe even learn all of the secrets, but then you'd only use the rotten
seeker
powerup in the first capture. Edit the levels if you find a bug, or maybe
tell me about it so I can fix mine. ;) Edit the levels and say they're
yours.
Even if no one knows it's not important. Have a good time, or even hate
them,
or rate them. This zip thing is yours to use so do it.
