Donate to Jazz2Online

To help supplement the costs of hosting, domain name registration, and forum software I have decided it is time to accept PayPal donations for Jazz2Online. Regardless, J2O will continue to exist and will still provide the community with its resources.

Donations will help pay for existing bills; all money will be used carefully. You are free to click the new Donate to Jazz2Online link at the right or here for complete details about donations. If you have any questions please contact me and I will be glad to talk to you.

All donations are greatly appreciated, but it is not required.

“Hosting Fee – $34.95 USD – HostPointe Plan 2/3 Quarterly”
..what?

Stijn on 5 Jan 2005 at 16:14

Is that so hard? It means 34,95 of the so far received money has already been spent on the hosting fee.

Bobby aka Dizzy on 5 Jan 2005 at 17:26

Well… that was really my money not money received since the payment was due, but yes.

Slaz on 5 Jan 2005 at 18:37

Sorry, i really want to donate some, but i haven’t any paypal account, even my parents haven’t one… :-(

Bobby aka Dizzy on 5 Jan 2005 at 18:56

A PayPal account is not actually required, credit cards are sufficient. Otherwise if you really want to mail checks or US cash it can be worked out by contacting me directly.

No offense, but NOBODY is going to donate.

The Jazz 2 community fanbase is pratically non existant. It’s just not a popular game. And besides, 35 bucks isn’t very much (to me, anyway)

FQuist on 6 Jan 2005 at 22:51

Actually, Cazz, we have received $52.50 in donations already. Six people have so far donated.

PHT on 7 Jan 2005 at 13:20

I disagree Cazz. Jazz2 IS popular, otherwise this community would’ve died a long time ago.

Bobby aka Dizzy on 7 Jan 2005 at 18:56

It is true that $35 is not an outrageous amount of money, but when you pay $20 ever month for many years the amount starts to really add up.

PHT on 7 Jan 2005 at 20:57

So who are the heros who donated so far? =)

Bobby aka Dizzy on 8 Jan 2005 at 00:55

I have put everything on the donation page and I will continue to update it as donations come. All expenditures will be recorded and the balance updated.

Monolith on 8 Jan 2005 at 03:33

Is the donate page linked to anywhere other than in this news post? I can’t find it.

Ice M A N on 8 Jan 2005 at 05:35

There’s a small text link under the games in progess link in the top right on the j2o index page, as well as an announcement on the jcf..

Monolith on 9 Jan 2005 at 02:59

I didn’t notice the link under the games in progress link.

I still think J2Ov2 is a mess in terms of how things are organized. :P

DanYjel on 15 Jan 2005 at 22:59

There is no different way how to help. You need money. 15 dollars per month.

It gives sense, you want some profit from so hard and long work. But, you can say it… No?

blurredd on 16 Jan 2005 at 15:17

Haha, profit. Even if that was the case, they are a long way off, especially since donations probably won’t keep coming in steadily.

Anyway, you’re better off thinking of J2O as a non-profit organization.
