New JJ2+ update. You’ll have to use the Plusifier again. Make sure to read the readme.

Amongst multiple smaller fixes and features, this version fixes the problem of connections timing out after 30 seconds.

Download the new JJ2+ here, and make sure to look at the JJ2+ thread.

Faw: That’s fair enough. However I can’t edit the newspost for some reason, so this will have to suffice: click

it’s not that i really need it, i just thought it would be helpful for those who are new to jj2+. thanks for the link.

Yeah, I figured that. Either way, editing news got magically fixed, so the link is now in the body.

last + was better…much better

What exactly do you mean by that?

Although I admit that I dislike the fastfire/food “fix,” partially because it ruined a few concept levels.

good to hear about the 30 second time out fix because a lot of people didn’t bother to play the game anymore because of it.

works great^^

The 30 sec CTO fix works for me btw, I can now play online without jj2udp.exe and any port forwarding, though hosting a server still requires me to open a port which is basically normal in online gaming.

Best + ever just because of this fix. Think about it, the community was in need for this since years ago when players switched their dial-ups for something better..

GREAT ! ! !
I’ll surely check this out later! Thanks!

Oh, and Slaz, if you’re using a router wich has the DMZ option, that’s much, much better than the port forwarding thing, and allows you to play every game (or at least all I have tried so far) online. Joining AND hosting.

Try going to this website: http://portforward.com/
They give you specific instructions for your router and the program you’re trying to use with it.
Although JJ2 does not appear on the list of programs, If you choose another game, like AoM, they will give you instructions for using the DMZ feature, if your router has it.

But, if you’re like me and has no patience for intructions, just look for “DMZ” at the router’s configuration page (probably inside ‘advanced’) and type your computer IP there.

Hope this will help you. Contact me if you have any questions.
