It’s fangame season in the community, with two new projects appearing just in the last week!

Jazz Jackrabbit for Sega Genesis is progressing rapidly and grappling with how to display JJ1’s levels and graphics with a console’s limited capabilities. It’s in vertical slice territory, with some form of everything—a menu, enemy collision, one enemy behavior, three sounds, and so on. It doesn’t appear to be based on OpenJazz at all.
Jazz Jackrabbit Rabbit’s Revenge is already complete, with four planets and a bunch of different weapons and enemies. It’s inspired by the original games (and reuses or edits a lot of sprites) but it’s not a remake like the other, it’s doing its own thing.
It’s been a good long while since 2018’s Bun & Gun. Be sure to check out these new games—you can download and play them both right now!—and reply to their JCF threads so that the creators can see your appreciation!

Huh, the new season ends so soon? And there’s another season in just 3 weeks?
Well, there’s a few reasons for that.
Stay tuned for more JDC updates soon!

Version 6.6f of JJ2+ is now available!
Do you like organizing your downloaded levels into separate folders? But you’d like those folders to still show up in the Home-Cooked Levels Episode? This update does exactly that, turning the episode into an entire filesystem that finds all the .j2l files in all the subfolders of your JJ2 folder.
This was one of our most requested features, and was looked over for a long time as one of our public test builds… though it’s complicated code, so there may still be some lingering issues, we’ll see!
