FoDDiamondus is a slightly above the average single player level i think. The eyecandy is okay but i found some things in the design, which i dont like: for example, there are “dead-ends”, places where you have to die or keep falling (like in an Sierra Adventure, i more prefer LucasArts ;-)
Besides i think that a real good level needs an original name. However, if you are bored and want to have some 10-minutes-single player fun this could be interesting. Decide for yourself.
Sorry this was so hard to figure out that you never found the end.. I didn’t intend for that to happen.
I just told iCeD how to beat it, and if any of you can’t beat this, I’ll try to help you out.
My least fave by FoD for a couple of reasons:
Tedious and confusing.
I never could find a way to win this… I just kept going around in circles.
Anyone can make a single player level like this, I hope. :-)
The above statement is true, I do like this level. :-)
This is prolly my fave by FoD, it had nice design, eye candy (this includes the way tiles were used, etc.) and such.
Just a few problems:
The parts near the end got sort of tedious.
Some parts can be tricky to figure out.
Overload of enimies in various spots..
Overall: Want a good single player? Get this one. :-)
Not bad, actually. But I did find some problems:
The “Jump up” part led me to some frustration to find the warp. (I’m so stupid.)
The part where you can touch the bottom is just evil.
A few more that I’m too lazy to write.
The eye candy was good (oops, you didn’t do that. Teehee.)
Overall you should get this if yer a single player fan.
Onag here. Actually, there is a sample level. Pezrock Arena. I always include sample levels with my tilesets. I think FoD is going to re-upload the tilesets along with the sample levels…
I’m searching for the time to convert more Jazz 1 tilesets. It’s very time consuming (about 20 hours goes into each one). I’ll see what I can do.
Actually, it did come with one.. when Cheeze fixs the re-uploader, I’ll re-upload it with the level included.
Well, this is small battleground using the Thermal Carrotus tileset. Design and eyecandy arent that
brilliant in my opinion and you know that im a harsh rater (i just wanna give fair ratings so i gotta be harsh, sorry).
On a brighter note, the background music selection is pretty good: its a neat tune by well-known Skaven^FC.
A very good looking tileset including a proper mask and all the basic j1 tiles.
It really is a pity that the author forgot to make a small example level. I would recommend you to download this and make
levels of "J1crysilis" :-)
I cant help, i dont like this level very much. Its way too small for everything, even for a 1vs1.
Also the tileset file isnt stuffed in the ZIP so some people wont be able to play it.
Seems to be a cool tileset conversion of a JJ1 tileset.
Unfortunately there is no an example level which decreases my rating.
Heh, I can remember that Onag asked me to make a level for it.. but I lost mine level and tileset so I could never build one.. =)
anywayz I think this is one of the Best JJ1 -> JJ2 Tileset conversions made.. no 10? Well, if ya want to make a special ya need a fast comp =\
Overall a little over an average level. Nothing much to say, I barely have anything to say in reviews. :-)
Cause me not smart :)
Yes, I like this tileset. He also made another one.. Guess I need to post that one, eh? :)
Why didn’t you set the level type to tileset? :P
Im trying but i cant find a way to make shots of jj1 :P
Has onag made any other j1 tilesets? Because this tileset has been done very well, and I WANT MORE J1 STUFF!!!!
Great work! It’s pretty hard to make these.
Ya know what? I’m not gonna make levels anymore.
One level is FoD’s "Blaster Battle" with some additonal eyecandy and CTF bases,
the other ones are actually one level using a day/night version of the Diamondus tileset.
Well, its not against you FoD(!!!), but i dont like the layout and eyecandy very much. Everything else is okay.
(Its not a must-download.)
Aiko, I’d say you didn’t spend much time looking at this level. It has all sorts of secrets and stuff to find.
