@FawfulCC: Christ man, music is for listening. Try listening to it.
Cool! :D
[Review changed to quick review. – Cooba]
Alright, so I downloaded both the instrumental and the normal versions of this song, and I have to say, not bad.
The fast rhythm and quick guitar captures the Jazz atmosphere. The whole composition evokes the image of a mercenary rabbit gunning down everything in his path, starships blowing up, Devan’s machines engaging in combat.
There’s a good amount I don’t like about this song, though. The beginning radio tuning-in dealy is good enough, but the clapping and (I think) tambourine intro defeats the purpose of the intro you already provided. The first half of the song feels repetitive, and the song doesn’t really have an ending. It just stops. Not to mention that the vocals don’t feel “heavy” enough for this kind of genre.
Nonetheless, I really like the song. The lyrical version I’m not a fan of, but the instrumental is great. This song is a must have for any Jazz fan, regardless if you like this genre of music or not. There’s room for improvement, but this song is a definite keeper in my playlist. I give it an 8 and a download recommendation.
A final note: don’t put this on your iPod. This song shouldn’t be tainted by that.
Hey, All of you, If you don’t have seen it, its a BETA. DAH that’s why its so small :P
It’s time for a new twist on an old favorite… Time for a new rating and review system! Shew…it’s been a while since I’ve done one of these… I wonder if I still know how? o_o;
==================Simple Review==================
Base Score: 5/10
Point Bonuses: +4
(+3) Decent selection of samples for the tune. All seem to fit the atmosphere of the tropical planet of chameleons. The samples and the notes seem to mesh together very well.
{+1} Despite the source material being repeatitive, this is not.
Point Deductions: -1
(-1) Some of the samples are a bit too sharp which gives them the illusion of being “too loud”.
(-0) I don’t deduct for this, but at 3:59, there’s a noticable “stumble” in the song… Like it’s “hanging” or something.
Final Score: 8/10
I’ve never heard the music of Splinter Cell, but to me, I can honestly say this sounds like something Alexander Brandon did. And in saying this, I mean this very much in a good way! It sounds like something from Unreal Tournament, another favorite game of mine! Some parts are a bit questionable, such as the samples around 2:33.50 to 3:05 and at 3:59, there’s a rather odd breakbeat glitch that sounds like the song hung, I notice. Other than that, I say “well done!” The music works very well. Most of the samples and notes mesh together and give a really atmospheric, but overall, it’s got a pretty decent sound to it.

Your friendly neighborhood S3M/MIDI artist, Joseph Collins
This is genius work here.
I’m going to start off by saying the music for Chameleon world is among my least favorites on the Jazz Jackrabbit Advance soundtrack. This is however my favorite JJA remix, which isn’t that hard to be since only 3 exist (all done by 2xGJ no less).
Onto the review. Now I’m not some music analyzer like say Joseph Collins, I’m just a guy who knows when he digs the sounds he hears and when he doesn’t. And this guy dug this sound. Part of the enjoyment was that spark you get from hearing something different, which can help a bad song be tolerable, a good song sound amazing, or let Ron Jeremy rap his way to 26 weeks on the top 50 charts.
That’s not to say that if this song wasn’t a Jazz Jackrabbit Advance remix it’d get a lower score, far from it sirs (and womans). This remix is really good stuff, with the style progression feeling extremely natural and never jarring. The music’s inspiration comes through wonderfully and creates a remix that would work ingame a lot better than the original.
So, in closing, if you like JJA’s music, or if you like Splinter Cell’s music, or if you just like music in general, download this now and you won’t be disappointed.
I SEE ONLY A TRANSPARENT!
YUCK!
?O__O?
The base is not in tune with the other thing. Pitch it up a little.
FINALLY, iv’e found a good remix by JSZ Jazz. Where on earth did you get this from? It’s great. Drums, synth use, everything was good. 8.5
[Rating (8.5) clearance. Why was the synth use great? Why was the whole song great? You need to EXPLAIN why were some aspects good before giving a rating. ~Cooba]
LOL, i had an idea to remix deserto but mine is too large.
Anyways, the song is sorta messy. Well, doesn’t really have a note. It’s as if it was randomized. Hmmm, sorta spooky.
Isn’t this the same as Lenti Lives?
Comeon guys this music is great (although a few offtune synths) drums were improved, the origanal was sorta slow anyway. Before the tune reaches 04:29s put it to at least 04:30s for a hidden part of it.
[Rating (7) clearance. You need to explain why was the music great, and pointing out some improvements isn’t enough to base a rating off. ~Cooba]
Yay! Pollutus!!
Introduction:
What do you think of when you think about Jazz Jackrabbit for the GBA? Is it fun gameplay? A good story? Or maybe awesomely awesome music? What’s that? None of the above?! Well… Maybe this will change your mind about its music. Then again, maybe it won’t.
Song Analysis:
IT’S…TOO…LOUD!! Dear lord, man! Towards the middle and end, it actually starts to crackle and buzz because you cranked it up so loud!
Anyhoo… If there was one thing I could say about this track outright, is that this really…brings the tainted atmosphere and polluted areas of Pollutus to life. While the GBA track was kind of lightweight and only just barely fitting to the area, this track is dark, deep, and I dare say even cold and metallic. Just like it should be.
The lyrics in the start don’t really add much, but they don’t take away anything, either. I can’t tell what they’re saying, but I don’t think it matters much either way.
Sample Analysis:
Like I said, areas of the song are a little too loud, but that’s probably more your fault(if you amplified it) than the sample, which sound good seperate, and terrific together.
Final Analysis:
All and all, this hollow and ambient piece of music makes Pollutus seem far, far more deadly and all the more ominous than its original GBA predecessor. I can only hope more GBA remixes and arrangements like this come out.
Score: 7.2
“I Can Do Basic Math!” Points: 0.3
Total Score: 7.5
Recommendation?:
Absolutely. Especially if you didn’t like the original Jazz Jackrabbit GBA soundtrack. This will definately make you think twice.

The “Simon Cowell” of Jazz 2 Online‘s Music Scene… Joseph Collins
“Dr Lithius” or “LithiuServer” on Jazz 2
OM2004 seems to be stuck in an eternal time loop in a time before Jazz Jackrabbit Advance, and Shadow the Hedgehog(for the life of me, I have no idea what the genre the songs in that game are). But then he contradicts me, and must also live in a future where 20 seconds is the equivilent of 20 minutes. This can only mean one thing: OM2004 DOES NOT EXIST IN OUR NORMAL TIME STREAM
While I do agree the beat repeated itself a bit too much, I also have to point out that there isn’t much source material to work with, and at 3 minutes long the tune doesn’t feel too repetive. The lyrics and how they’re ‘sung’ give a distinct “Shadow” feel, but without the overly cheesy lyrics the Sega game had (“No more life, No more death” comes to mind from that game).
If you didn’t enjoy SoH’s soundtrack, I’d stray away from this, but if you enjoyed it or are curious go ahead and click that download button.
No, no no no, and no. That wasn’t cool at all.
The song took too long to download for the value of the song. The song repeated it’s beat way too much. It never had a climax, and has weird talking sound that was creapy. I know that you have listed the lyerics, but still it was just bad.
And I know you made it for the anniversary, but still this song has nothing to do with jazz at all! So i don’t even know why it’s on here.
So, thanks for the thought, but I don’t recommande this song to anyone.

Tol’ja I’d do it, and I did it, too.
Introduction:
Kind’a techno, kind of electronica, kind of groovy. This is a Dark Groove remix that sounds like it came
Song Analysis:
The song starts out lighter than Dark Groove and a little faster. In fact, it only sounds remotely like Dark Groove.(A passerby might argue that it isn’t, for example.) It’s also a bit repeatitious all throughout. Around 1:20 does the song start to show a little more “Dark Grooviness,” getting right into the groove with the original notes(roughly) of Dark Groove, which leads to a slight breakdown around 2:07.5. The song more or less repeats its various patterns(with some slight alterations) from then on until we get to around 3:10.5 where it goes into a full-fledged mess of rhythms and notes for a while. And I mean that in a good way. More repeatition ensues, then finally, the song comes to a nice fake close around 4:33 which leads into another breakbeat drum session, and finally, a mellow ending. It works, but as stated, it’s a little repeatitious.
Sample Analysis:
The samples are all much more crisp than the original samples from Dark Groove and, as far as I can tell, not many(if any) of the originals were used. Maybe the drums from another Jazz 2 song. In any case, all the samples sound good, and sound good together.
Final Analysis:
Repeatitious, but very worthy of any given Jazz 2 level. Plus, it’s a lotta fun to just sit back and listen to.
Score: 6.7
“Nondescript” Points: 0.5
Total Score: 7.2
Recommendation?:
Sure. As stated, it’s fun to listen to by its lonesome and could easily be implemented into any given stage.(Probably Heck or Castle. Maybe some technological stage.)

I think i just found my new fav music for jj2!
It’s strange it has some wheired sounds in it.. but all the better… I like it, i’ll give it a 9.5.
[Unsupported (9.5) rating removal – FQuist]
Well, um… hm.
Definitely not what I was expecting, to be sure.
Slow electro is right, for sure. There’s enough of Dark Groove laced in there to be recognizable, but it’s tweaked just enough to make people wonder just what it is they’re listening to.
I find it extremely hard to believe that you mutated Dark Groove into this, GGJ. I would have believed you if you said you made this from scratch. Then again, I haven’t tracked enough to know what is possible and what isn’t.
For sheer musical quality, you’ve earned yourself an 8.2 from me. It’s not really my brand of music, but I tried not to let that faze my opinion. For all of you other persons, download this… it’s the only way you’ll ever really understand.
Really, couple times better than normally. Firstly, it’s pretty original, second thing is that you managed to minimize the offkeyness almost as much as possible.
Style of the song is very strange, it’s some slow electro, but it sounds good.
New industrial electro melodies, modified original ones, main melody of the original as nice background… I have some reservations to bassline, it itself (even without anything) sounds weird… Like… Offkey ;)
The tune uses nice rhythm combined with disorted, hard drumloop, it perfectly fits to the song, but actually there should be bigger work with drumloop, the tempo isn’t fully adjusted so it’s not right-on-beat (but it almost can’t be heard).
Main power of the song is that it uses number of awesome effects, which gives song the right grades and thanks to effects, song quickly and… effectively ;) transits between its parts.
Imho, tune sounds empty at some places, some string could probably help.
I like this song, although I have few reservations. Originality and cool effects combined with ungood bassline and empty sound, that’s… Great deal! :D
