I really like this. It was one of my favs in the original.
Good! Very good! This tileset contains about 240 tiles converted from the original Jazz1 “Technoir” planet. It offers many objects for level building like tubes, animated belts, arrows, lava(?) and some other useful stuff.
The example level is disappointing (fortunately the very cool original music song2.s3m is included). Btw: I will rate like i feel its appropiate and in my opinion a good tileset needs a proper example level, no matter what “type” it is. End of story. Thanks.
Overall, a great download for all talented level builders and A REAL MUST for every Jazz1 oldie! :-)[This review has been edited by Aiko]
Wow, it’s really cool, you can make good levels out of it, the tileset is (like Flash said) good masks and has enough tiles for making eyecandy, especcialy I like the animating tiles you can make out ouf it.
Good job, Newspaz! This is a great Tileset! It has many cool tiles and it’s masked very well (IMO). Not many to add. I wouldn’t say anything about the example level (as you asked)
7.0
I can’t rate it since I didn’t see it…i just wanna see my review status
I’m a busy guy with a lot of stuff to do. I don’t have enough time to play it (Sorry…). Hey! But cheer up! My 1st level was a battle level with about 50 tiles in it and no backround (Resulting in a colorful jazz trailing behind me…) Keep at ur levels, and u’ll get better. Ur reviews will get better, and you’ll be happy with ur well earned results.
Well, considering its his first level I won’t rate it too low (Haha..)
There’s no music, totally no eyecandy,
and its too easy and too short, but you must see my first, so I dont really care about it.
a 4.5 will do I think
You’re not? (Puts head down in shame)
(Quiet) But I like saying levels suck (Mine especially :-)
GEEZ! THIS LEVEL SUCKS!
(Ah that felt better :-)
Well anyhow its not that bad…Better than my levels :)…Wait! It looks a lot like my levels! No eyecandy, ugly, and short! its got KJAZZ written all over it! :)
Well its good for a first.
~KJAZZ who thinks hes so funny that his liver exploded and now hes dead.
Ehr ACE. You’re supossed to review. Not to just say it sucks or not.
Please stop the flamebait reviews.

Hey NewSpaz, AWFUL LEVEL! ABSOLUTE CRUD! I’M GONNA GIVE THIS A 1!
heh, but in truth, this isn’t bad. It’s below average, yes. But that won’t stop me from saying “Good Job for a first” mine was a lot worse…
This review is pretty short and dull but I can’t recommend a d/l.
My first though when i played it "Man, Newspaz isnt serious about this piece’o‘cr… level". Then i read your description above :-)
Well, to put it short:
bad tile placement and bad event placement in many places, wrong tileset chosen (Carrottus!) and way too short and easy. Music is missing. Clearly below the average of nowadays.
I HATE THIS LEVEL! THE AUTHOR HAS NO TALENT! DO YOU HEAR ME?! NOOOOOOOO TALENT!!!
Hehe, okay, seriously, this level IS AWFUL! cough*gasp sorry, had that one stuck in my throat :)
This level actually isn’t all that bad. ESPECIALLY considering it was Newspaz’s first. I can hardly abide what passes for second and third levels with some people. Clearly, when you look at this level, you realize that the author actually thought about what he was doing. Certainly there are some "bugs" (overabundance of carrots, tall objects keeping you from skipping ahead which you can jump with Spaz…) but design is clearly present. With more common "first levels", the only design would seem to be if the author intends to prove evolution is true or something (because the levels look like the result of a big bang…or maybe just a little thhbtt)
Overall the level could have used a bit more work. It has a "rough" feel as though you are playing a beta testing version, but otherwise I don’t really have any complaints.
It’s very short, but it’ll give you about thirty seconds worth of smile time.

I love this set! It’s been a little while since I’ve played Jazz 1, but this set has pretty much all that I remember. I trust those who are better informed and say that it doesn’t, but it’s GOT to be close!
The only complaint I have is with the included level :) If it was simply an example level, it’d be one thing, but it’s also a CTF level, and as such, it’s not very good. Too small, not much to look at. It does show how the tiles work, to a certain degree, but in a rather minimalist way. A better guide for how to use the set would be to play Jazz 1 itself, if you haven’t, or to go find some screenshots. Otherwise, for the set itself, this is just about perfect.
For this reason, I’m giving it a 9.5
Yeah, that’s a pretty high rating for something so small and not quite as graphically spectacular as other sets, but the reason is I don’t feel that this set should be judged so much as an individual work as it much as I feel that it should be judged based upon whether or not it truely emulates the original Tubelectric. In this case, I believe that it all but excels. Hence, the 9.5

Sniff…brings back memories of my jj1 demo.
Ahem! Anyway, since I haven’t seen the original levels in a while, I don’t know whats here and whats not. o_O So, i’ll just give ya a 7.0
I reccomend d/l, especially if you looveed the original tubelectric
Ah, it’s about time someone converted the classic JJ1 Tubelectic set. The tileset itself is done quite nicely, however the animations are improper and I think this tileset misses some tilesets that really set apart JJ1’s Tubelectric from JJ2’s. Includes a decent example CTF level (with a bad next level setting btw. Pretty bad idea in an MP level.)
all in all a pretty good tileset I definitely recommend you d/l now.
A cool Jazz1 to Jazz2 tileset conversion offering 170 useful and well-masked tiles from the legendary original Tube Electric planet in J1. I don’t know if it really includes every single tile from the original "tileset" but anyways i’m sure we’ll see a lot of cool levels using this set in the near future.
The pack also includes a pretty nice CTF example level, which only lacks a correct next level setting. The background music is the original "song3.s3m" from Jazz 1.
Definitely a MUST DOWNLOAD for all you Jazz fans (i was very undecided between 7.0 and 7.5 points here).
Finally! Now i can die happy!
Ahem…Now, about the set. It’s done quite well, you can the great majority of the JJ1 Tubelectric tiles. But a few things bugged me: not all animations are in the set (you can make the stencil bigger, NewSpaz), and that made Tubelectric Tubelectric. Anyhow, there are still enough tiles for you to use.
The example level (a VERY smal CTF) shows you enough ways to use the set.
Conclusion: Could have been a bit better, but it’s still good enough for me :)
