Someday I’ll have to change my user name to ET, not et…..
Anyway, I love the tileset, It has a mezzy sort of look along with 3d tiles ( like leSmashes Psuedo 3d and afew other tilesets that have the illusion of dept :). I also like the way that you have the same tiles, exept smaller to use as a background. I also think the textured background is very well drawn, it doesn’t look as good when you turn textured backgrounds off, but when its set to the 3d look, it has a very smooth touch :). I suck at drawing 3d backgrounds, they always look sharp instead of smooth :(
Nice levelpack.
I particularly liked the Jazz1:Diamondus tileset and the car level.
But in the last level you get stuck in the wall, because the warp target is too near the wall….
Of coooouuuurrrrrrrrsssshhhheeee I’m wEiRd! :)
HIC Hecks, I’m so weird I made a tileset of a F**** (that is not what it seems, i just censored the word cuz that would give away what the tileset is). Anyways, review time:
This is a brilliant tileset. I spent ages just looking at it trying to find mistakes, but there are none. It’s just plain awesome, and I am still weird :)
…Ok I’m back. The review was short because the bell went for maths, but the teacher wasn’t there so I’m back to elaborate a bit on the review.
If you are a Mez01 fan (or your name is Syntax where you live and die by Mez01) you should definitley download this. It’s the same as those stinking little pokemon, ya gotta get them all! The tiles (in my view) are drawn better than the ones in Mez01. They are more ‘shiny’ and that extra level of colour depth was added to make it look more colourful than Mez01. Of course some people might like that ‘same consistent feel’ and ‘sorta dull and dark’ that you get in Quake 1 & 2 (of course Mez01 isn’t THAT bad) better than this, but that is their opinion.
This, ladies and gentlemen, is a top-class tileset from a top-class guy! As a matter of fact, let me thank him again for all his help and effort he put into Spacey Universe. If it wasn’t for Newspazzy here that tileset wouldn’t have had a textured background.
(NOTE: The above statement does not make me biased and it will in no way affect the original rating that I had planned for this tileset)
Good job Newspaz! you deserve it.[This review has been edited by Disguise]
A pretty impresive single player pack from my home country, ‘Putrid monkeys revenge’ still one of the top50 packs for JJ2. It had good eyecandy, and some pretty sweet level design, pluss exelent music choices. The one thing i was missing here was a story: ‘Putrid monkeys revenge’ may be a very well designed pack, but i realy could’nt see a story in this. Apart from that, i’d say this is a very high quality level pack, that no one should miss. I only have one more complaint: I was for some reasen unable to find the end of the last level, ‘the lab
down under’. But, people, go download this spiffy li’ll Dutch SP pack now. [This review has been edited by >CelL<]

“Meza” is a pretty cool “3D” tileset that has about 950 tiles. It is obviously meant as a tribute to mezz’s work for the scene and you can really see that (not only from the name ;-). “Meza” has all kinds of cubes and square shapes, transparent, half-transparent and in lots of different colours. Dutch buddy Newspaz also included some very nice background structures which the talented level author could use for layers 5-8. Not to forget some useful tiles like vines and poles.
Esspecially for me (j/k ;-), Newspaz also included a nice little treasure hunt example level. The layout is circular, there are some gems laid out and the eyecandy also looks very good.
Not much too complain about, same with the music file (magic_t.j2b): it is quite nice (not super elite but still nice :-).
Well, to sum it up: apart from the fact that it’s a tad repetetive, “Meza” is a very, very decent, pretty original looking tileset and it gets a FAT DOWNLOAD RECOMMENDATiON from me. No doubt (i was very undecided between 7.5 and 8 here…maybe i’ll change it later!).[This review has been edited by Aiko]
Very nice tileset! All though it’s hard to use, you can make a very good level if you really put a lot of effort into it.
Very nice tileset! It has all most ALL the tiles from the original JJ1 Tubelectric levels!
Btw, White Rabbit.. did you know the Example level isn’t passworded?
Awesome tileset! It has loads of blocks and blocky thingys and also nice background stuff and it really should be called Blocks instead. :-)
It’s really nice and it’s also pretty simple and easy to use. I like it although I don’t see a particular reason to make a lvl out of it. :-P
Download recommendation? Yes.
BTW, you shouldn’t password an example lvl Newspaz. :-P[This review has been edited by White Rabbit]
i have seen this this set before. though i do not see how it is a tribute to mez sets. nice 3D style look.
p.s. disgiuse is not weird[This review has been edited by Cobra RR]
He said this sux. Hes mad.
I like thiz, especially the included treasure level. Just Use it and you’ll see how great this is.
Really good!
It combines the 3-d ish look of astrolumina with the flashy colorfull blocks look of mez1!
(wow! mez1 in 3-d!)
anyway, all it needs is some text signs and destruct blocks for a better raiting
What do you mean, Disguise is weird? But still, it’s about time you released this. Now I have one more tileset that makes mine look totally awful. YaY.
(By the way, tilesets are hard to review)

Nice litle tileset. It reminds me of the old tetris games. It got a good 3Dish cinda look. And the coments..I love them:-D. I`d say everyone go download this tileset right`away, especialy tetris fans:-D.

Very nice. Of course, I do enjoy race levels the most… ;-) Good job on this one, definetly worth an 8.5.
Hawkin 87 :-)This is going to be a short review. All I can say is that the level is VERY hard, which is something if you want a challenge and has some nice eyecandy. This is a good level overall and I recommend download this.
I left an empty review becuase im speechless.
(But i do think it would be nicer with more quote spaces)
I pretty much agree with all previous reviewers: despite the fact it uses boring, old Diamondus, “Treetop Hip Hop” has some fresh race level ideas and interesting obstacle arrangements (trigger scenery and the pinball events are nice, for example). The design is very tight, which i really like. And apart from some minor tile placement flaws, the eyecandy looks great. The difficulty level is pretty high but i really think the level is way too short. 30 seconds for one lap isn’t that much!
But all in all, “Treetop Hip Hop” is definitely a MUST DOWNLOAD, esspecially because there aren’t a lot of (good) race levels these days. I was undecided between 7 and 7.5.
