I havn’t actually seen the level yet, but I just wanted to say something about ambient lighting in multiplayer.

It causes lag, and brings the fps to nearly half. Don’t get me wrong, Ambient lighting is awesome, but try to avoid using it in multiplayer levels…

I love the orriginal idea. It’s hard for me to properly rate this as my siblings detest jazz 2 racing, but I like the level, and I like the idea! Keep up the good work!

Even though the Eye candy was not to the upmost extent, it didn’t take away from gameplay, which was awesome. Ok, I’m getting confusing right?

It was a great pack. I enjoyed playing it, was challenged, and liked the eye candy. I highly recomend this.

The only reason it got less that it did was because there were several annoying parts (car chase 2, the sand level, and the labrat level where you get stuck after going through the warp).

Eye candy, while nice, could’ve been a little better.

Just download it already! =)

This is one of the best single player levels around. (In my opinion.)

I’ve always enjoyed Wakeman’s levels, and this is no exception. Even though it’s a little short, It’s nice and challeging, and the Eye Candy is Excellent.

Pros:
- A ton of very nice Eye Candy. There’s never a time when you’re looking at just the level. Wakeman Used all 8 layers, and the result is beatifullness.

- Puzzles. I havn’t palyed to many Single player levels, so I might be worng, but it uses some nice origional puzzle Ideas. To beat the level, you have to conquer several consecutive puzzles, which I find a lot more entertaining that a level with millions of baddies, that all the skill you need is to shoot.

- Good enemy placement. Even though there arn’t very many enemies, they are placed well, so that you really have to be paying attention to fight baddies, and conquer the puzzles. Also, Good choice on the enemies. They fit the level atmosphere, and are some of the more difficult ones.

- Nice lighting. This is one of those levels where you don’t want to turn ambient lighting off. Wakeman did a very good job on the lighting throughout the level. Though you start at 100% it goes down in a couple of placces revealing dazzling flickering lights, and pulze lights, and so on and so forth. When you eventually get to the last guy, It’s at about 30, but there is so much lighting you’d never know.

- Neato Last Guy area. Wakeman wisely picked the red tornado dude. It fits the scheme of the level, and it’s also the only last guy that’s not overused. The area where you fight him in is nice and challenging with respawning enemys, and excellent lighting.

Cons.
- All layers at X-speed 0. Practially… Besides one layer in which there’s a large saturn-like planet, all the layers on in speed 0, meaning they are the same as Layer four. This, while delivering nice Eye candy, can be quite anoying at times, An improvement whould be to put 1 or 2 layers in the backgroudn and forground moving so that it’s easier to navigate around the level.

I give it a biased 9.7 =)

I thouroughly enjoyed this race level.

For one, I love the diamondus set, so that made my enjoyment of the level even greater.

Newspaz did a great job on the eye candy and the difficulty is just perfect.

It’s kind of small, but race levels shouldn’t go one forever.

Overall I give it 8.7 =)

Very nice set. It’s quite orriginal compared to most of the sets that borrow tiles from JJ1, and it’s very orriginal.

Unfortunately, very few of the tiles are actually orriginal. The set includes tiles from or that closely mimic (JJ1):

~The glowing walls in tubelectric
~The tubes / pipes and waterfalls from Dreampipes,
~Most of the Crystal ground from Either that one level with the rocket rats, or Chrysallis
~A lot of metal stuff from Orbitus.
~Fans from Fanolith
~Other varies tiles somehow related to Jazz 1….

Don’t get me wrong here, I’m not saying the set is just another jazz 1 set. It’s a set that’s not easy to tell that it has any holds in JJ1 unless you’ve pplayed JJ1 alot and are familiar with the levels.

Very nice setup and tile editation allows for high detail abilities, and the set is not too dificult to make levels with (the crystal ground can be quite tricky)

Nice example level. It shows what can really be done with the set.

I think labrat music would work a lot better than the music included with the set (rocket.xm) which I found quite boring.

Overall, I give it a 8.
Why? IT has all the essential aspects needed for a quality Jazz 2 level, very nice looking. Nice aspects from JJ1.

However, It’s to much of a copy from JJ1 to get a higher rating than 8 (imo)

Good Job Agama! I look forward to seeing more from you.

Funk-o-rific Job Agama!

I was very suprised when I first opened up this set in JCS. Not only does it maintain the Cartooneyness that Jazz Jackrabbit demands, It also looks REALLY good.

It’s fairly easy to work with, but difficult enough to make level making enjoyable.

Pros:
- Very nicely done Cartoony aspect
- Enough variations in tiles to make a quality Level
- Fairly easy to work with
- Very original (although a few tiles are enhanced versions of JJ1 sets)
- Personal favorite

Cons:
- Strange layer 8 Background (the white is realy contrasted)
- Not many options for background and foreground layers except two different types of clouds
- Water (tileset blocks) is very ugly looking

But other than that, I think it is one of the best tilesets around =)

I think it easily earns 9.5

Remix? All that’s changed is the Speed of the song and the Breakbeat Boom Boom Boom.

There’s nothing orriginal about it. =p
