This isn’t noice.
It is noise.
The maps aren’t flawless, there are some tilebugs but overall I had a great experience.
I love it! :D
(I hope this rating won’t be deleted because it’s short. It isn’t exaggerated either, I guess…)
So I was looking for something new to play on JJ2+ and then I saw this. “Tweedle Wheedle” sounded like a promising name and seeing Tweedle boss in an actual level (one of the bosses I always wanted to battle) made me decide downloading it. First up, I’ve got to say that it’s an amazingly scripted level, which I really liked. Also it’s nice that you added bombs, potions (or whatever that ammo is called) and ghosts. The ambient was nice, very few bad tiles, nothing to really ruin the gameplay. It was a great idea adding Bubbas as enemies, but if they looked at least a little different from the actual Bubba (ex. new color, size, etc.) that would’ve been fantastic. I really enjoyed the game until it got really hard, even on easy! First more Cheshire Cats, then the spiky balls… I eventually gave up and used JJRUSH and JJFLY when they were needed. First level I saw a spring on a Caterpillar. Pretty original! Maybe if it was a little easier on Easy it could be an extremely enjoyable level, since Jazz Jackrabbit is still a run’n‘shoot. Collected 200 coins, finally! goes to warp; accidentally goes to right and gets teleported back Dammit! The exit should be somewhere else, not a place where you could instantly get teleported out. Anyway, finally got to the boss. I expected something really powerful, since the level was so damn hard. It was surprisingly easy, unfortunately! Still the idea is pretty damn interesting, I enjoyed seeing Tweedle in-game for the first time.
Before rating, a funny story: I was standing on one of those moving platforms. I accidentally fell; Cheshire Cat teleports beneath me, deals me 1 damage but I jump back on the platform. That enemy literally saved my life!
I’ll rate 9.7 for all the effort you put into this level. Thank you for making this fine piece of work!
There isn’t much to say about it. It’s simply nice, but the music sounds like satan remixed the original theme. The map is a little bit confusing, too many annoying lizards… There are no other enemies than the reptilian foes, which is sad. The tileset looks nice. Something scares me when I play the level, I don’t know why. Playing it with Lori is almost impossible. Anyway, I think 9.2/10 is a fair review.
It works so… yeah… kinda useful.
Maybe I am not the best at reviews, but your map is just a joy to play. However, is not perfect.
Stuff I like:
-Great tileset
-Music matching to the map
-Large map, making it “open-world”
-The level has water
-Variety of weapons
-The map is nicely made
-Lots of details
-I didn’t encounter any visual bugs
-Pinball
Stuff I don’t like:
-The water event doesn’t always work, also the water appears suddenly
-Uhh, sorry, I can’t find any other stuff I don’t like… x(
9.7/10 – I recommend it. It’s perfect for 4-8 players.
Your map is simply bad.
Very simple, no details added.
Very few enemies.
Bat sleeping in the air.
You can get to the top of the house easier if you perform a double jump with Spaz or use Jazz’s special power.
No new music.
The tileset is matching, but you built it bad, with lots of errors.
You can fall off the map at the limit of the ground.
Nothing exciting about it, it’s just a map for 2 years old to complete.
I’ll give 8 for encouragement, but I’d really give it like 6.
Can’t reccomend it.
Edit: For being a jerk, I’ll go down to 7. Just because I made a honest review of your map (Which is way worse than mine, everybody can confirm that) that doesn’t mean you have to leave a bad review for my map. Face the truth, your vengence via rating my map doesn’t bother me.
Edit 2: Back to 8 since Stijn removed your nonsense review. If you feel offended, please download the map, give it a shot then write a serious review, as I did to yours.
I finally got to play it, and it’s amazing! Very few visual bugs but in the rest it looks very nice. The “story” is interesting for a treasure hunt. I can’t wait to play it with my friends!
Let me see… great tileset, incredibly good scripting, and great music and design!
However, I didn’t like the control set. In rest it was great!
10/10 would play again!
Mainly it’s a great game, however the war game doesn’t really match JJ franchise. Jazz it’s a cool hero, not a serious one. The idea of making a new JJ game is great.
10/10 because you’re trying to revive Jazz Jackrabbit :3
