And not a bad one.

Nice layout but some bugs in the finishing tuch.
Its funny to play but its spazz basicly, i see after a spring you must spring to get up it.
But its NOT bad and NOT Good a fun level, a 7.0[This review has been edited by Amstel]

Hmm okay, again a ctf level.
All of you ctf levels has much ammo, you dont must put to much. the eyecandy is Avarage (so as i can see) your levels arent bad, but i think it likes a bit more as battle’s i think you must make battle levels likes this. a 7!

Eyecandy – Bad
At least there’s a background… the sprite layer and layer 3 eyecandy suck too bad, though.
Gameplay: Very bad
Yuck. Jazz can barely get around it, and Spaz has a hard time, too.
Flow: Very bad
Bad flow… spring placement sucks.
Ammo: Very bad
This is the first ‘very bad’ ammo placement I’ve issued. This is pretty darn bad.
Layout: Very bad
goes in the bathroom and comes out an hour later weighing 10 pounds less, then eats for the next day non-stop to gain the weight back
Download reccomendation: No.
Host this often: No.
Overall: No. Very bad. Try harder next time, and focus on the gameplay. No offense to your beta testers, but have people who are good at level making test your levels, because if you take advice from someone whose not good, what good is the advice?

Hmm, this level is not good/bad.
I think you must use the whole level for CTF likes one base above and one down, under you never must come to score! this level you can use for Battle to, i think..

Bah. Not so good. DX overrated this big time.
Eyecandy – Bad
Bad eyecandy… all though there is a background, and that’s all ways good. The eyecandy in other places if just annoying and ugly. Some tiles don’t go together.
Gameplay – Bad
Bad gameplay. Expect a boring time, especially if you’re Jazz. Frusturating, too.
Flow – Bad
Bad flow… the spring placement is annoying, and some places lack springs. Jazz can’t reach many areas, for example, on top of the floating building. Spaz can barely reach that, either.
Layout – Bad
Hideous layout.
Ammo placement – Okay
The ammo placement is merely okay… nothing good, though.
Size – Bad / okay
Not so good, but at least it’s A LITTLE big…
Host this often – Not a chance… it’s 1.24, anyway.
Download – No.
DX: Rate everything 1.0 points lower than you would normally rate them, and your ratings will be far more reasonable. Also, look at the gameplay… don’t rate levels high just because they look neat, or your friends made them, or you beta tested it. GAMEPLAY is everything. Flow, etc. The level has to be enjoyable and easy to get around in for good gameplay. I never see you look at the gameplay when rating.

i said it to him and he made it better.

Third CTF review this week. Let’s begin, shall we?

GAMEPLAY:

I’ve seen worse. I can’t say this is much of an improvement. There are once again useless deadends, questionable spring placement, and even more deadends. One can imply that there are more deadends than before. Furthermore, there’s a slight lack of flow, a spaz bias, and a huge empty so. This level reminds me lot of Death Castle CTF which is not really a good thing. Some more variety would be nice, wouldn’t it? There’s still poor base placement (and generally in the same places as before) and it’s still unbalanced. Bases in each corner of the level are hard to balance so I advise avoiding this.

EYE CANDY:

“Explosive Garden CTF” isn’t exactly exploding with eye candy. The eye candy would have been average, but once again the tileset is misused in a lot of places. This is a bad sign. Please take my advice and try to make eye candy like that seen in good levels (not just any level). Also, try not to hide too many things with foreground eye candy. Doing that will annoy players a lot.

CARROT AND AMMO PLACEMENT:

Carrot placement is like how it was before: a full energy carrot in a warp. Not too bad, but it just makes this level more like the last CTF one. As for ammo placement, it seems to be too random. Good thing: ammo placed througout the level for easy access and strategical reasons. Bad thing: ammo placed around the level for the sake of placing ammo around the level. I might have lost a lot of people who are reading this review with those last few lines, but it is true so go ask someone who’s made a lot of CTF levels for a detailed explanation (I’m too lazy to do it now myself, although PMs can be useful). The powerup placement isn’t as bad, though. If the RF was placed a little further to the right, it would have been a little better (assuming there won’t then be an empty space where the powerup was). Of course, they are just out in the open and rather easy to access, so it’s pretty dull and all. Something like a powerup only accessible with some Electro Blasters through a wall is a nice change from the ordinary.

HOST THIS OFTEN?

That answer is still a no. This is worth about a 6.2, so next time try even harder.

An okay level. It lacks flow, and the layout is bad. The ammo placement is decent, and I can all most say the background eyecandy is good, but layer 5 moves too fast. There is lots of ugly stuff in the sprite layer, but lots of eyecandy there. However, it’s too much, making a lot of eyecandy turn into bad eyecandy. It’s buggy, like DX said. The gameplay has way too many flows for this to be an enjoyable level.

Good job, Da man, you really should make levels like this…Hey , hey i forget one thing , i decided to write an a long review:

Tileset use:Tileset use is very good in someparts, especially in those platforms..

BTW, ill continue this tomorrow , im too tired right now.
