I’ll give you a 1. A penalty, because this level is inpossible without cheats. I can’t beat Devan Shell! And the weapon placement was arkward!

Well, nobody’s gonna rate this, might as well be me :p
First thoughts
Well, lemme tell you I had to play in Co-op to play this level properly. It’s basicly just a square in the sky, and in SP, you start outside of it. A dirty glitch, but it can be prevented. (Ask Disguise, or take a look at his levels). Anyway, the level is rather smal and simple in every way. Easy to navigate, which is a good thing.
Layout
The easiest way to make a big MP level is just to make half and mirror it. However, symmetry isn’t necessarily a good thing. You’ve seen half, you’ve seen it all. The layout isn’t half bad tho (no pun intended), just an open space with some platforms with springs. The way I see it, it’s made to make a quick getaway. There are sucker tubes in the border walls, which start at the base and end at the top, where you can find powerups (more on that later). The tubes have multiple entrances, so it’s quite easy getting them. On the bottom you can find a darkened cave with a smal tunnel, ideal to shake opponents who use RF a lot. Overall, very simple, but it does the job it needs to do. O forgot to mention, the symmetry is hampered a bit because one of the two springs is misplaced at the blue base. It’s better to keep the one on the edge and remove the other.
Tileset use and Eye Candy
Alien Temple II isn’t that big, it doesn’t have much eye candy. The background only has a fall of gems, a system of tubes and layer 4 wall tiles. Layer 4 has background walls with alien letters, alien faces and gemstones in the ground. The gems have been made translucent, but sadly the ground around the tile too. It would have been better if they were solid. Eye Candy wise that’s it, basic tileset eye candy, but the tileset has more to offer, namely gems sticking out of the ground. And even tho the tunnel has been darkened, it’s not reflected by layer 4 wall tiles. That doesn’t make sense to me.
Ammo, food and other stuff that’s good
No food here, just ammo. Even then it’s only fields of toasters, RF, pepper spray and seekers. There are two powerups, an RF and a seeker one, in the top left and right part of the level. Seeing the level doens’t have a layout based on strategy (ok, maybe the tunnel) but on speed, RF, Toasters and Seekers are all you’ll need. I just wish the placement was a tad more symmetrical.
Miscellaneous
First of all, I’m not fond of the name given to the ZIP-file. “New WinZip file” is too generic, i would have preferred something like “TempleCTF”. That aside… The music used in this level is called “Acid Phuture”, tracked by the Deviant (Tip: most trackers leave comments, including their name, in the sample, instrument, or comment area of the info section in ModPlug Player) The music is simple, but it’s suitable. Speaking of suitable, the level is played best in TSF, because the next level is set to “Townhouse CTF”. Just so know, untill the author corrects this mistake.
Verdict
A nice try overall. This level may not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s enjoyable for the ones who like a fast game of CTF without too much thinking. Those who prefer strategy may want to pass. Recommended if the next level setting was set to itself.

OK here I go.
First comments:
- Do not put spaces or other weird characters into filenames. It might create trouble while clients connect.
- Level is untitled. Make up a name!
Now, the level itself:
- Textured background is good, but what if I am playing without textured background? In that case it looks AWFUL!
- Too much motion in the background. Eyes start hurting when you look at it.
And, it creates disorientation in space.
- Eyecandy is good, if not count what I said before. However, I’d prefer to play without that background (in no backgroudn mode), because I dont like the motion.
- Flow is good.
- Ammo placement and carrot is good.
- Level is a lil bit smaller than I would wish it to be.
- Nice tube system.
- Again, about the background – I would not make it green. Make it light blue or something. And make it more transparent.
- No bugs! Good.
For now, I’d rate it a 4, but I will rate it later, afer you fix the things above. ;)
If this is only you first level, then I can see that your next levels will be even better. Just dont make it so contrastful and motionful.
I think this level isnt all that good, but as it is just below average, ill review it. (The below average is my opinion) Here goes:
Eyecandy: Very boring eyecandy, i have to say, some of the tiles dont look right and the background is simple and boring, it looks like the background is moving at mega speed, not the ship or are you on one? If not, the background shouldn’t move so fast. It nakes the lvl seem a bit unrealistic. Also the background has some wierd iron balls moving about, and some stars or stuff, shooting at a hyper speed. The layers used were 3,4,6,7 and 8, which is above average, but there are unrealistic things that make the eyecandy below average. 3/10
Gameplay: There are too many big and cramped passageways, with no ammo, whatsoever… bad. There are about 3 routes to each base, which sort of makes it more fair and a lot more interesting. However there are deadends and that makes the flow a lot worse… bad again. It is quite hard to get stuck though, there is a part with springs continously hitting you right to left and back, simply if you jump and press down at a good time, you will go into a wall with warps which will warp you down below this part… that isn’t bad, nor is it great, but it is quite thoughtful. On the other hand quite a lot of events could have been used but they weren’t… bad yet again. 4/10
Pickups: Well this is not very good, seeing as two power ups right next to each other, but the seeker power up, however is apart from the others… yay! You can either RF climb to get it, ot use bouncers or electro blasters to get is, same with the other power ups. Most of the ammo is at the red base, which is a bit unfair. I dont really want to right more but this gets 4/10.
Overall: A 4 is what i will give this little CTF level…

STORY
This level doesn’t have a real story, you just have the mission to go “back in time”. I don’t really know what this does mean, but I guessed I’d have to find the exit. Because there is the try of a story I’ll give a 2.5 here.

LVL DESIGN AND EYECANDY AND…STUFF
The lvl design has two parts, one normal part where you shoot enemies and some mce jazzes (good!) and meet some swearing cars :-)
And one which is called Skydiving. You have to find a coin first, but it isn’t really hard to find (I don’t remember where it was :) )
Then you fall, and fall and fall and grab some diamonds on the way down. At first it’s fun, but then it gets boring. The last part with those gem rings is totally pointless because gem rings don’t give you points and you already (should) have over 100 gems. There could be more variety in gems and some obstacles.
The eyecandy was ok, There was a background layer and a tiny bit in layer 3. What confused me at the start is that all here is pink :-)
Oh, I forgot after skydiving you have to beat a robot. Sadly, this is totally easy if you got the ice powerup (which is easy to get), because once a robot boss is freezed, he doesn’t move and you can easily shoot him with blaster.
After the endboss the game counted about…2300 gems (!!) :-)

GAMEPLAY
The gameplay was ok, but there could be more items, more variety in the skydiving part and it could be a bit harder.

LENGTH
The level took me 6 minutes, but I think the skydiving is too long.

AMMO AND OTHER WEAPONS STUFF
Ammo placement is very bad. There is only one ice powerup, which lets you deactivate the boss. There should have been more ammo + no freezer ammo (if you use the robot boss, be sure the player can’t have ice unless he cheats).
SCORE: 1.5
BADDIES
The enemy placement is ok, those mce jazzes are good. After the skydiving part you get sucked into the boss (oh dear). The boss is too easy because of that ice powerup.
SCORE: 4.5
HURT EVENTS AND OTHER OBSTACLES
There aren’t any other obstacles, I wish there would be some in the skydiving (would make it less boring). Oh, I forgot you need a coin for skydiving, but that’s way too less.
SCORE: 2.0
TILESETS
The author used the megamegatropolis tileset from Disguise. He used a weird pink version and that’s original.
SCORE: 7.5
USE OF TILESETS
The tileset use is neither good nor bad. It’s average. I think there could be more stuff in layer 3 and maybe a second background layer. The skydiving parts should have more eyecandy. And I think layer 8 moves a bit too fast, but that’s only my opinion.
SCORE: 5.0
CONCLUSION
This level is ok, but needs several fixing. Next time make your level more interesting, use ammo and more eyecandy.

HOST? I think the skydiving idea could be used very well for a treasure hunt level (hint hint!!) but with less gems :)

Very interesting lvl, with cars swearing at u…
EYECANDY: Not too goood but it is using a hard to use tileset which i rate u higher for, though i am currently makin something with it. U used 4 layers which is exactly average… i see quite a few bugs when i play but none are horrible… The eyecandy is reasonably above average, coz it is usin a rlly hard-to-use tileset.
LEVEL: This lvl isnt fantastic, though there are rude cars about… =P. There are a few original ideas here, there are MCEs and trigger zones that get u the freezer PU. which is good… and also the skydiving idea is really cool, and fun unless u get hurt by the dragons in the wall… which is annoyin. Not a straight lvl which is good. and this lvl isnt that short, not much secrets (or maybe none). there are some traps that can be irritating…
Pickups: Yay… not bad placement. it is above average, and the lvl doesnt keep on doin one pickup, (apart from the gems in the skydiving, which is fun). the placement could be better again.
Other Stuff: Music suits lvls, and there are winds (actually conveyor belts) for the MCEs, i’m just wondering: couldnt u put the belt and spring in the wall? The name suits the lvl in this case. again no nxt lvl. and very wierd… it is all pink!
Overall: this is good, not too good, but good

The basic lvl itself is quite good, especially the background! there were a few bugs and i did get stuck but the end there is only one way to get to the boss, if u fail, u have to cheat. also the boss jumps out of the room! The weapon placement was a bit arkward. next time border your lvl and spend more time on it and make it so that it is possible without cheats, if it was like that, i would have given it a 6.5.

Tileset: i like the Tileset it is cool
Music: i know there is a Music Flie but it is not working
and the level is Short the boss area is to small to and make it so People dont fall and… the the 1st form of the boss runs out of the battle zone……. next time make the level biger and more ammo And when i mean Bigger I mean some hting like 70-200 or more

the bugs are a very huge problem but i dont understand why tiger lily had to rate it an 8. the basic lvl was ok but weni tried it at ur house there seemed to be too many sparks. really cool pinball machines though. the traps were annoyin.the placement for pickups wasnt too good. this tiger lily, she dont even know what she is sayin. there is like 99999999999999999999999999999 tilebugs. i got stuck so many times.

i have to agree with acid psy. the basic lvl had quite a lot of bugs and it was a bit short. also at least it was better than my first lvl. i see you used the normal music and the hocus pocus tileset. nex time make the lvl longer.
This lvl is short but good,it has loads of tile bugs and the save point is in an akward place. i would say that you need to test it a lot more.
at the begining there is a good use of traps.

ok Nim i think you have a lot of mess ups have you played this level for Bugs ? the check point is at a Bad Spot when you die you end up in the wall over it.. and Change the Boss or make more Room in there! other Wise i think this is a good level
better then my 1st one _ lol well i think the music is good i may use that some time _ over all i give you a 6
