Great Tileset. I love Zelda. I would use it to make a Zelda level pack but I suck at JCS. Has anyone made a Zelda level pack yet?

EDIT: I’m getting better at JCS now.

HOW COULD YOU MAKE IT TSF ONLY? I’M A BIG ZELDA FAN AND I’VE BEEN LOOKING FOR A GOOD ZELDA TILESET AND ALL I CAN GET IS THAT TERRIBLE GERUDO VALLEY TILESET BY BUNNY ELMER! IF YOU DON’T HAVE VERSION 1.23, THEN BUY IT AND USE WHATEVER SOURCE YOU ORIGINALLY USED FOR THE TILESET IN TSF AND MAKE IT WORK FOR 1.23! PLEASE!

As everyone said, the general idea is great. But (also as everyone said :)It’s kinda hotel-like and i err… HATE hotels. So this doesn’t get a d/l recommendation from me.

Download or not? Decide yourself i’d say. (Well, if you always wanted to know how your ‘puter works inside…)

Heh. Thats about the only reason you’d wanna download this (No offense to author) because it’s (like the other reviewers said, its too hotel like and looks a little ugly. But, also like the other reviewers, I like the general idea.

Thats my 2 Cents (News music plays)

Yup, I too am a hotel disliker. but I can admit that this level was at least tolerable. It has below average use of the otherwise good tileset. Has a warp-oriented style of navigation and strange stuff. The eye candy/layout overall could be improved. And I have to agree with Buster here, what’s the point of hotels in JJ2 really? they’re quite boring and IMO not really worth much…

barely 4 points and no real d/l recommendation from me.

This is pretty much an average level using a pretty interesting idea (though it wasn’t portrayed well.) has a typical hotel-style design (warp oriented design leads to trouble, you should know.) I don’t see the point of putting a hotel in an otherwise good idea like this.

Overall it’s BARELY average (was undecided between 4.5 and 5 points here.)

Now I’ve never been a big fan of Nintendo (never will be), but this isn’t a bad tileset (AGAIN I make a foremost complaint: Um, if you don’t have 1.23, why is the JJ2 version 1.23 on the level info? Fill in your version CORRECTLY please), includes lots of tiles from the Zelda games. Has a nice theme and a sort of weird example level. Might I also comment there are enough tiles for you to make a good level with some effort.

Download away. I was pretty undecided between 6.5 and 7 points.

Well, I can’t say i don’t like it,
it’s after all a lvl of my own clan,
i shouldnt say that but ok ill do it anyway, yeah, i like it, except that there not much “eyecandy” (what’s that word all about anyway?) and it looks a little like a hotel (in fact, it is)
and since FD died…. well i don’t think you know what i mean by that but i’m not in the mood to say that i’ll just say: Good job, Perfect

Err…do you allow me to rate the level (not just blahblah about it :-)? Okie, here we go: some guys here already noticed it’s a so-called "Hotel" and most people don’t like this kind of level (including me).
It makes use of the "CLC" tileset by some unknown artist (who seems to be a member of the "Cracco Clan" at least), which is quite good actually.
The level is pretty large and has loads of rooms and stuff like that. The design and eyecandy is interesting in some places, but then suddenly loses quality in other areas (bad tile placement for example).
Honestly…personally i don’t like this kind of levels at all, but it seems like the author put some work into it. And i award any kind of effort (4 points here).
Still no download recommendation from me, though :-)

Hehe, interesting idea (to simulate a Personal Computer in a Jazz2 level :-).
It uses the funky (and small) "SUPAPLEX" tileset by GreenKiller but unfortunately the level itself is pretty hotel-like (rooms etc.) and neither design (boring/wrong tile placement) nor eyecandy (not enough) will make me rate it higher :-)
Despite i like the overall idea, "The MB computer" doesn’t get above average.
Download or not? Decide yourself i’d say. (Well, if you always wanted to know how your ‘puter works inside…)

Holy cow, “zeldagb” is a huge tileset. It includes hundreds of 32×32 tiled pictures from the original Zelda games (but i have to admit i never owned Zelda and/or any kind of console…admit? No, actually i’m proud of it ;-). The masking is good, and it even includes some backgrounds. Sure, the graphics itself look a bit “pixelized” but thats not the authors fault, as far as i know. Blame it on those Japanese freaks back in…199X or so.
To my pleasure, the author also included an example level which is quite cool and seems to show us original levels from the original game (Who knows…could you write a readme next time?). The level is not really superb regarding design and eyecandy, but somehow i like the whole idea behind this.
So WHY NOT DOWNLOAD this nice little pack? Esspecially Nintendo addicts will like this a lot. (Very low seven points)

This isn’t a 1.23 game…this is TSF (or so I presume due to the version conflicts I’m getting). Nevertheless…

Perfect, I’d advise you to listen to KJAZZ. I know that you didn’t post your levels up here to get slammed, you posted them for feedback, for that longing hope we all have within us that someone will actually like our work…reaching for that star that says, not only to they like it, they LOVE it!

Alas, Perfect, this isn’t that work.

MOST people don’t like hotel levels. You could craft the most cunning, beautiful level ever seen, and if it’s a hotel level, people will still view it with contempt.

I can’t imagine who came up with the idea…I suppose it was probably one of those moments when someone thought they had something fresh and inovative. Unfortunetly, those thoughts aren’t always true, and the fresh and inovative can quickly prove itself to be a bad idea.

There does seem to be a cult-like following for hotel levels, but I cannot grasp WHY it exists.

Allow me to place before you a question which no one yet has answered me…

What fun is a hotel level? What fun is it to join a level, be asigned a room, and then sit there and tell the server to ban people who come in? If I want to sit on a bed, wouldn’t I be more comfortable going to my own room and turning on some music, grabbing a book, and relaxing thusly? Is that not more restful than watching Jazz sit on a "bed" on my computer screen?

Nevertheless, there undoubtedly exists a market for such things. But, you’d be better off distributing hotel levels to the hotel market directly, not through mainstream channels such as this. Many people can be rather rough, even downright mean if you present them with a hotel level.

Anyways, that’s my two cents for you.

GAH! You made a Zelda tileset for TSF ONLY?! How could you do such a thing?!

I vote we all pound on perfect a bit for making such an imperfect blunder.
