Nice level.
Only not put food in it, because when the enemie get’s a Sugar Rush, then your dead meat, for the rest it is fine.
The rating i give first is a hotel only rating which compares this to other hotels and rates this: 9.0
The average rating which compares this to all other levels 2.3
Around a 6
Im to lazy to do the math :P
Following acid’s method, which I may use in the future for reviewing hotels (note that the individual rankings do not go toward the final verdict):
Rooms: The rooms weren’t very interesting at all. They were OK, but they still didn’t make looking around them fun and kind of took away from the “ownership experience” if that exists for hotel levels. (6/10)
Areas:
Airboard arena: Dah. This idea should die from all hotel rooms. Airboards look cool, but just aren’t fun. (4/10)
Battle arena: Likely the best part of the level. It’s small, but it’s fun to play for about five minutes, which is longer than I can stand playing most hotels. (7/10)
Pool: An empty box with water. At least be more creative. (4/10)
Airboard tag: I dislike gametypes that you can’t tell who won. I dislike airboards. I dislike playing underwater, where this is. Guess how much I like this area? (3/10)
Rollercoasters: Hmm…a sucker tube going through different environments. It’s been done before, many times. (4/10)
Pinball: Pinball rooms give me rashes. (5/10)
Golf: Actually, this is a fairly new idea, but I still don’t like it. Too noisy, too. (6/10)
Don’t make hotels. No one should make them unless they are amazing, which few are. For this, I give a 5.7, but no download recommendation.[This review has been edited by Trafton AT]
Not bad, but a bit easy.
It’s OK, but not really amazing. It could be harder.
Whenever you think about these things, you think you did it, you think if was your fault.
And I wish I hadn’t downloaded this in the night. =P=P=-P
The tileset was bad. If you would choose a good tileset, it could be better.
Good! I didn’t have 404 error. (I don’t know why.) It’s pretty good. But not too much eye candy.
WEll! This lvl is pretty good if you are a hotel fan.
Jman’s Overall rating:
*I like this lvl alot, but you didn’t get me a room…-1…=( (j/K)
I hope everyone will download it because it is very cool! I’ll give it a 7.5 for effort and a nice lvl for that tileset. One of the best hotels I have seen with the tileset! Well…..gotta go……….C-ya JJ!
>:( I don´t see my room…. ;)
This level have very orginal ideas in it.
The eyecandy is bad, but that´s the tileset. Overall, a fun level. I say:
a d/l recommendation for Hotel Fans
Ok. This level is…. A bit boring. You start off surrounded by tons of rooms which all look the same, and none are unique. Then you leave the hotelish area to go to the city area. This is where it gets better. You get to see some pretty boring arena’s, a shop where you can buy anything, etc. Then there’s the roller coasters. I, personally, like roller coasters. I think they are fun. I’d prefer it if you’d make the coasters take you on a tour of the level or something (I usually try to make mine do that). Then you have bunny of the hill, nothing special, just a ledge with a morph. Then you have mini-golf. Mini-golf is pretty fun. It has too much TNT though. You should try to use more animations etc. that the tileset offers (I know of them since I made the set :-p) Then you have Pinball. The pinball needs some work. It’s just a big rectangle with some flippers and bumpers in a repeating pattern, and at the top is nothing. Then there is the water coasters, the same as the other ones.
Overall it’s a pretty boring hotel. Although it is big and has many features, it’s lacking the interesting sights, and new idea’s that Hotels need. But this isn’t quite as bad as I make it sound, and I giveit a Download Recommendation to those who enjoy hotels.[This review has been edited by URJazzCC]
Finnaly someone, wich makes also an city next to! yay
Though hotels are boring, a city next to it makes it a bit interesting. Dunno why, but I just like it someway.
cool tileset and lvl and music 8.7 poins from me
trunks
Good level gives you: 3.0
Too easy: -2.5
I like the tests, but they are easy!: 2.0
Just….. A good level.: 4.5
It’s one of the best levels!: 2.0
There’s your 9.0! TAKE IT AND LEAVE!
I’ll just follow AcId’s wonderful style here.
Rooms:
I could honestly, honestly, HONESTLY do without Any rooms the next time I see a hotel level. Really. Just attractions and stuff. I mean, what’s the point? “Oh lololol I have my name in this level that must mean I’m so cool” is an interesting thing to say, but what if the level is really bad? Is that the impression you want to have on people? “Oh, look, that guy who had his name in that terrible level!” Anyway, these rooms are all Exactly the same, only with different TVs. Half of them have working doors, and half don’t, so I kind of pity the ones who don’t.
Airboard Room:
Oh. A big empty room. Look, I KNOW I answered that “Freedom” was an airboard in a 1023 × 1023 level with nothing else on a J2S poll, but I’m saner now, ok?
Battle Room:
This is one of the worst battle arenas I’ve seen. Wait – I think the one from the last hotel I rated was worse. Oh well. It’s a bunch of three block platforms with some carrots.
Pool:
I really have to stop comparing this to that other hotel, although I just started, but it had a better pool. And it was terrible. At least it wasn’t a complete rectangle.
Airboard Tag (or whatever it was called):
Airboards Underwater. The only different from this and regular airboarding, is that you can buttstomp. So in order to tag people, I guess you have to buttstomp them. I’ve seen this level before, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone in this room.
Store/Treasury:
First of all, you are treated to both unlimited Silver and Gold coins. Other then getting your Coin number to a multiple of 5, what’s the point of the silver coins? Especially since they threw you off in the first place. Then you can buy as much ammo and powerups of any type as you like, because you have infinite cash reserves. Couldn’t there be something you have to Do to get the stuff?
Rollercoasters:
Ah, yes. The rollar coaster. With nothing to see, no sights, nothing. Just a bunch of passages through walls in long and windy directions. Windy pronounced like Wine, not Win. The best time for chatting, IMHO, is when you’re in these things.
Watercoaster:
The same, only part of it is underwater, so they go slower. This is really just an excuse of Tublear’s to make more rollar coasters.
Pinball:
Ok, I’ve seen worse Pinball things, but I made a better one in around five minutes at the most. You just go up to the top avoiding the bumpers, wherein there is nothing. No ammo, warps, etc.
Bunny of the Hill:
A small ledge, with a wall on one side, where you must push everyone else off, assuming you can get anyone else up there. You are not allowed to shoot or attack in any way, but if you want to morph, it tells you to use a physical attack. This is especially annoying if you’re Spaz, with that sidekick and all. And why is there a Wall on one side, anyway?
Golf:
The original. The spectacular. The fifteen donkeys in the shape of a tube. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you.. an earache. Along with Golf. Using a variety of any weapons you have (including some it gives you), you must shoot the turtle shell past a series of TNT, to finally get it into the hole. I’ve honestly seen more original golf courses. But this is a high point, at least. Still, putting things you have to buy elsewhere in plain reach is counterproductive.
I am currently undecided on the rating. Mainly because it’s late. I’ll try to assign it one tomorrow. And by the way, I doubt this is as bad as I made it sound.
There. A 6.2. Although I’m still kind of undecided. I may change it later, but don’t count on it.[This review has been edited by Violet CLM]
Yay I got first review…
First of all, I may not be very good at reviewing hotel levels, so don’t get mad.
Rooms: Bleah… Boring. Make them a bit more fun to explore… Probably the only fun you can possibly have in them is looking around in your own room if you have one.(I didn’t look very closeley, but I don’t think that poor JJ tublear will include every single Jazz 2 Online member, so I’m probably not in there)
Battle arenas: Airboard arena: Okay, I know they need flying space, but WHY MUST IT BE A STUPID GOODFORNOTHING BLANK BOX?!? Battle arena: Pretty good, but, why would anyone put something you had to buy in a shop you can get for free in the arena?!?(Blaster powerup) Pool: An empty box filled with water. Woop dee doo. Hey, I said he shouldn’t have to do every member, but couldn’t he at least put in more eyecany? Airboard tag: Another big empty box with waterin it. If there’s water in it already, why give us airboards? Also, a big empty box makes it not as fun. Give us some eyecany to hide behind, or ledges to go around, and maybe not be in the water.
Rollercoasters: Wonderful! I think this is a very original idea, and it should be praised. Congrats! The watercoasters are exactly the same except underwater, so it’s not really better.
Pinball: You call this a pinball machine? Hah! I don’t call a few flippers and a few bumpers in a big rectangle pinball, I call it jump.
Golf: very nice, not original, but golf is a great addition to a hotel level*makes mental note to self saying to add golf to the things to add to the hotel I’m working on* challenging to get par, but very fun!
Overall, a 7.5 from me. There can be better hotels, but this is a great one. Cheers for JJ tublear!
I LOVE YOU JJ TUBLEAR! THIS PATCH SAVED MY JAZZ2!!! (In a…way…)
I don’t know what’s wrong with this.
Nothing special so a 8.
