Hm. Interesting. Frankly, i can’t see what everyone is so exited about. This is a pretty basic tileset. It has all of the necessary stuff, but not much else. It reminds me of the Golden Oldies sets. To be totaly honest, when i look at these ratings, i was expecting something with the quality of Spacey Universe or Nature’s Ruins. And you admins are telling US to rate fair? Hmm….
Oh, and Quisty, are you sure that rating is totally fair? :P
This? “Beats all agama tilesets”? Maybe I got a wrong version of the tileset, but this is definetly NOT betetr than Agama’s set(s). The set is small, not much variety, with a style of graphics I don’t like. The only plus about it is the background (very cool). I can’t say much more about this. 6,5, a downlaod recommendation.
Nice tileset from Disguise. This set reminds me the Holiday Hare sets and Master Disguise’s earlier set, Africa.
I LOVE THE BACKGROUND!
The battle level is a bit simple, but it is an example. This sure is a quality set.[This review has been edited by Blade]
I must be real out of shape for playing along with a april fools joke without knowing…
Ok, It dosent have any real bugs that I can see. It could use more tiles, lots of space for them. It has whats the neccisary stuff, all right. It is stuled kinda like Modern City from the Golden Oldes Pack. I say 7.2 sound fair, it being 7:59 Am.[This review has been edited by Rspss Fr]
what is so wonderfull about this? the eyecandy could be much nicer, when you put on mask you’ll see much weird text on trees, clouds and… ..stuff.
those hills with houses look ugly, and the whole set is small. ok, ok… a tileset of me would be much more bad but still…
Just a 1 april fools joke. Well I think this deserves a 7.5. Not enaugh Tiles and extra stuff.[This review has been edited by Super Saiyan]
I’ll review this for real later :P

WHY WHY WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ah wanted first review! sniff I waited ages for it!
The eyecandy in this set is magnificent! Little flowers, bits of grass. It has a rain tile that can be used too. The little houses look darn awesome (Disguise’s house is far off tho), there are enough tiles for everything!
Masking is brilliant, I haven’t spotted a flaw so far, but the the level plays well and I managed to run around smoothly without getting stuck in anything.
It’s nice, it’s colourful, I can’t find any bugs, it looks darn awesome – DOWNLOAD RECOMMENDATION! GO GET NOW!!!
EDIT: I WAS fooled by the hype, but after seeing the set combined with Disguises’s claim that it was ‘better than Corrupted Sanctuary and Nature’s Ruins by far’ (which are my personal favourites), ADDED to the mask messages (with his house, his tree etc)…well you get teh drift.
Realistic rating? There isn’t a tonne of eyecandy, it is well drawn though, but not enough of it. The masking is well done though, but the set really is small and simple. Realistically? Hm…go check. From a 9.5 to a 7. :)
BTW though, I still wanted the first review.
EDIT 2: Woo! Ahm at tha top! :D

Though I dont like Assault. This one is nice…
next time, plz include the tileset:(
Cool, fun, exciting, hard. Cool words to describe this level. I managed to finish this though I found a few bugs. Well this level was Evil and annoying at times. But overall, fun!
As i know from my own experience, it’s quite hard to work with the “Colonius” tileset. Nevertheless or even because of that, it’s definitely one of my favourite sets. Logically, it is very underused in the J2 level building community (which is a pity!). Thanks for a Colonius map, Disguise!
“Domestic Dispute” is about 150*80 tiles large and has a very nice open design. It is fluently playable, allows easy navigation and even has some little secret rooms and all that. The CTF route seems to make sense (pretty erm…diagonal as it should be, afaik) and the eyecandy is above the average as the tileset itself already requires some tricky layer work.
Oh well, even if i have the impression that some parts of the level were made a bit in a hurry (some repetitive stuctures in the walls and backgrounds or this very empty space at the right bottom, for example), it’s still cool. I bet that you can have a lot of CTF fun (btw, it’s a MUST for all fans of this game mode) playing “Domestic Dispute” and most of you will just be happy to finally see some different tileset used (makes a very good 7!).
A good level (But it would have been more interesting if the level were more detailed) using a great tileset. A 7.5 from me.
P.S: You forgot the single player start events, Disguise!!
…what Aiko said…
But I’ll lower the rating by 0.5…
Indeed, as Disguise wants to explain in his description, he obviously tried something different this time. In my opinion it’s his luck that he wasn’t really able to do something completely different than what i sometimes call “south african style” (i guess thats only logical because this style is, imho, one of very few ways to make a good level at all).
Nevertheless, the design of “Swampy Showdown” is a bit less tight than in other Disguise creations. There are quite large structures (and empty spaces!) and the level somehow gives me the impression of being too large (well, it has at least 115*80 tiles). By the way, “Swampy Showdown” is definitely one of the levels where i have to admit that my overall impression is really (too much?!) influenced by the tileset (Agama’s “Swamp”, which looks completely breathtaking, so beautiful!!). But back to the layout: the weapon placement is okay (not a lot of them, though) and events are hard to find (which isn’t a bad thing as it is an important feature of Disguise’s very own style). The CTF route is quite long, probably too long to score a lot (but i don’t really wanna judge that, as i’m no CTF freak).
The layer arrangements are…sound, not spectular (as always, sorry :-).
As the background music, Disguise choose a ST3 module by an unknown finnish(!!) artist called “Jungle attack” (1997). No super hit and very slow but it still fits good in this jungle atmosphere.
My conclusion: sounds boring by the time, but this is yet another great level by Mister Disguise. Awesome tileset choice, playable as hell and perfect for battle games. His attempt to create a new own style pretty much failed and you know what? I’m even happy about that (7.5, mainly because of the cool composition…tileset, level and music :-).
A level submission from Disguise, the first of many if he sticks to his statement. And from the looks of this level, I hope he does.
Eyecandy: The eyecandy is very explicit, without being jawdropping. Good use of the Swamps tileset, which includes the nice rivery (is that a word?) background. Nice use of trees and layers to cover up passageways and make the level look darn cool! I especially love how the orange leaves go over the path and over the platforms as well. :)
Layout: A fairly balanced CTF level, with bases at opposite ends of the map and at opposing hights. I’d say it is pretty much balanced, athough it might be easier to reach the red base, as all you have to do is follow some paths down, whereas reaching blue you have to run back and forth upwards. Still, good here. Nice use of pathways and passages to move easily arround. :)
Ammo placement: Very good ammo placement. There are enough weapons that you have a supply of ammo, yet not so many that they become scattered all over the floor. The toaster powerup is accessible by all, meaning all players hae a chance to go dish out damage with it. Bouncer power up is locked in the bottom left and is still fairly easy to reach, though red players may be closer than the blue. Although in a crowded server amo may get a little scarce, but that happens with all levels. Good job. :)
Playability: This level plays well. ‘Nuff said.
Download reccomendation? Well, take your mouse, click on that button that says ‘Download’. Get his level! Good job Disguise, I’m waiting for your next project. :)
Heh, brilliant. Wisey’s definetly got that 3D look but not the jazz jackrabbit 2 look that agama’s got, so heh. Kool X10 :)
Well, what can I say? I got to play this first :) (Sort of a beta tester). Really cool CTF, nice positioned bases but I think the red or was it blue? base a little exposed. So overall, brilliant
Bjarni, that’s because in CTF, there are 2 teams. If there was a Jazz start position, people would start there, which makes the game unfair.
My computer like start pos. But nothing is here!
