Derby: Flaming replaced.
The beginning of this sounds pretty neat. Unfortunately, it only lures me in, then proceeds to knock me down (—).
1. The percussions are (bad). The tambourine/808-hat is (the worst).
2. These rolls are (also pretty bad). They need to be refined and shortened, or omitted altogether.
3. That beep sample sounds like it was recorded at 11 kHz. In a way, though, it fits in in the general lack of quality this song thrives on.
4. (-) Every instrument harmonically clashes with the others in a way that makes my head hurt. (—)
5. Despite the clashing, it still sounds empty throughout due to the lack of any mastering or processing. Everything is way too clean. Equalize it at the very least.
This could have been interesting if the execution was not so poor.

This one is just odd.
1. I don’t like your beat. The 909 hat and shaker do not fit in at all. Process or replace them.
2. Actually, the whole thing lacks processing and mastering. It sounds raw, in a bad way. It’s called Bass Battle, but it lacks bass if you ask me. Master it at the very least.
3. The mix on a whole is very lacking. This goes back to number 2 up there, but I felt that it needed its own point. At many points, it simply sounds empty.
4. The ending is odd. Perhaps not as abrupt as the castle thing, but still odd.
I do not like this.
1. It gets repetitive quickly. Very quickly. The MIDI-esque sawtooth lead circumvents this somewhat, but it’s still repetitive.
2. Your rolls build up to nothing. The first time is alright, but the other times just create a false sense of hope. You think that it’s building up to some sort of intense DnB or dance beat, but instead you end up with this slow rhythm. The rolls just don’t fit with the slow pace of this song.
3. Your ending is sudden. I don’t think you could possibly make it anymore abrupt.
It does interest me how the version you privately sent me features more processing than this version. Nevertheless, they both (are bad).
Hmm, reviewing is fun.

This would be a great ringtone for a mobile!
the begining is a bit too long, but when it gets to the tube part it starts to get more squeaky than the begining.
[Rating (3.2) clearance. This review lacks any support for the given rating. “gets more squeaky” is not enough to base a rating off. ~Cooba]
I don’t like it so much. It’s too slow, time by time a bit offtuned, it sounds emptily as hell. The rhythm doesn’t fit here in these samples. All “original” ideas are from Eggman’s tunes. I just didn’t enjoy.
This is a very well made song. The beats don’t get tiring, and the song as a great intro, and the remexed notes are very well done. It fits with the song but still has that JJ feel. But there is one error that I heard, and that’s when the song repeats it sounds like it’s off tune or beat.
Now this song on JJ2 isn’t one of my faverits, but I still think this is a very well put togeather song and I think anyone would appricate it no matter their own preference. I recommend this song.
Quite good remix, but not the best.
And some of the drums sound like they crash or something.
But Quite good, indeed.
DR: Go on it’s good.

good points
amazing beat to it
a good intro to the remix as well
The theme is a great spacey theme
bad points
when some intruments go off its less good, but still ok.
conclusion
this is a good remix so id advise you to well download it.its now one of a faverote of mine.
did violet retire? :S
(No. I’m wary about music reviews, though, because I generally have no idea what people are going to find useful or not, myself not caring about remixes in the slightest. Should something blatantly useless come along, then it’s fair game. ~Violet)
This is a really good music and it fits to battle levels.
It’s not short but not long. More longer music could be better
DR: Yes specially if you want fast tempo music for Battle level
I really like this kinda of music.
Go on and make more music like this.

Mini review.
Your best work, without any discussion. The problem is that this looks really like Eggman’s work, you should profile. The song structure is weird, when it looks as it grades, all beats are cut off… The song sounds also a bit empty. It has something little more than two minutes, it’s not much.
But nice melody modification, cool beats, okay sample use. Keep practicing, you’ll be great, then.
You know what? It’s good! I like the instrument change at about 0:50. Basses are used well, and it really suits a battle level! But, the drums at the ending and at 0:45 are annoying, so I give this a 8.5.
Download recommendation: Oh sure!
i love it!!!!!11
espesshaly with the roller coaser visulation

I think you guys are going a bit harsh. The snare is a bit long, but the rest of the song makes up for some of it. And true it does need to have a bit more fill in. And I wish it looped but the song is still good to just listin too.
So Cruk…
You have done it with very nice style :)
7.0 from me, because of:
1. (+) Nice detuned saw sample
2. (+) My samples ;)
3. (+) Nice ideas with hihat channel (Heh I think you got it from my mods)
4. (-) Too long snare volume sliding… If it would be shorter then the dynamics would be better, but keep workin’
Keep rmxing, I can inspire you at next songs! :)
I recommend download this: some ppl who want to give up rmxing must see that music making is not as hard as they think… just hard work on it ;)
I needed something to review and the music file was the only thing (appart from my battles).
The song sounded nothing like labrat at first. Just this repeating sample sequence and some beats. The drum fills took forever. The begging only uses about 7 samples.
Near the end of the song, the key changes and so does the sequence. But then the same thing in the first half of the song happens. This long drum fill, then some beats.
Then the song ends instantly. The same 7 samples are used..
Judging but how many samples are used and how the sequence goes, this deserves no more than 4.5.

Introduction:
A techno/funk arrangement of a well-known Jazz Jackrabbit 2 song, and a chunk of a lesser-known Jazz Jackrabbit 3 song.
Song Analysis:
The song starts out with the opening “wiggities” from “Laboratory Level”. Around 50.5 seconds in, it coasts into a smooth arrangement of the last bit of “Jazz Jackrabbit 3”(the title song for said game) with some drums here and there. Overall, it’s a short song, but it sounds pretty decent, if not repeatitive.
Sample Analysis:
I dig the samples used in this song. Even though you used the same sample for the Labratory Level and Jazz Jackrabbit 3 main melodies, the samples themselves are nice. Not grainy, not fuzzy, not even slightly skewed. Ah, the wonders of FastTracker II Format.
Final Analysis:
This ain’t as much “Laboratory Level” as it is “Jazz Jackrabbit 3”.
(Specifically 1:44 onward in the original song.) While incorrectly titled(in my opinion), I can’t really think of what else you might call it, so… Yeah. Good, short song. Great for listening to. Not so great to use in a level.
Score: 3.5/7.0
”Jazz Jackrabbit 3” Points: 2.7/3.0
Total Score: 6.2/10.0
Recommendation?:
Sure! As I said, it’s pretty fun to listen to.
