This level is pretty cool. It has a pretty good design, and nice eycandy. I like the idea of how to get into the bases, nice touch. If you like CTF, you should download this. I spotted few errors.
The design was pretty good. Not breathtaking tough.
The eyecandy is pretty good too.
It’s cool that you have put a readme file in the zip, but next time don’t waste your time on graphics.. and make it a pure ascii file. The word document and it’s layout add nothing but extra kilobytes to the size of the zip file.
The music choice is very bad. Please do not chose hardrock/hardcore or anything to the extreme to a level because not everybody likes such styles. Instead put up styles that aren’t disliked by people who dislike those styles(ie: they don’t work on your nerves)[This review has been edited by Fquist]
ya know,
Ahh… something different then all those battles and tilesets
the level looks great, just one little bug(a computerwhere you can get stuck and jump back into the level!). It’s too easy i think, even I could play it! ;) Add more enemy’s and it’s in the bag!
Blaster
I can only agree with all the other reviewers here: “Chemical Thrashcan” is a very decent SP level and there is not much too complain about it. The design is very good (classic jump and run feeling, from platform to platform) and there even is some nice layer work (but not incredibly much). Enemies and powerups are well placed, its quite easy to beat, BUT it’s a pretty long level (takes about five minutes to make it thru’ the whole map). The music (“Data Jack” by Skaven/FC, who is a living legend in the tracking scene) is just great, it fits more than good (it’s pretty chiptunish and therefore fits the techno-beep-labratory style of the “Labrat” tileset). Well, what do you expect from Finland?
Well…as Enigma mentioned, there isn’t anything super exciting, though. Nevertheless, “Chemical Thrashcan” is definitely WORTH THE DOWNLOAD! Take your Blaster © and ™ and have some SP fun (low seven points!).
nice sinlge player, made with the nice laboratory tileset (which is..kinda rare, except in CTF :P). This level is good 10 mins fun, so if you are bored (or not) go get it now. There were some small things that I have to mention: some part were feeling way lineair, like long horizontal paths and areas, and some stuff like hooks and spikes…it didnt feel like one big thing, more like many small areas. but of course this doesnt take away the fun, download it now!
Good single player level with pretty good Eye Candy.
Download it!
I will give it a 7,7.
Mega Level,Mega Tileset
“Kinky City” uses the awesome, mindblowing, breathtaking, superb “7th Lava Fall” tileset by Mr. DethMan, which was definitely a good idea because that set is underused.
Despite the fact that there are some places that seem to be a bit empty (that may as well be a wrong impression, i don’t know), the overall level design is very good. Enemy and obstacle placement is also well made, only the difficulty level could be a tad harder. Another enjoyable aspect is the lenght of the level: very good. It takes at least ten minutes to make it through the whole level.
“Kinky City” also includes a nice swedish FT module as a background music, but as JelZe already hinted, it unfortunately sounds kinda ridiculous for this level, sorry. The “happy rock’n‘roll” mood doesn’t fit too well here i think.
All in all, a very decent single player map using a great custom tileset. Most people will like it so DOWNLOAD NOW!
Long story short…
Eyecandy: 4.0/5.0
Mode of play: 1.0/1.0
Gameplay: 1.0/1.0
Music: 0.5/1.0
Tileset: 2.0/2.0
Add it up and it’s a 8.5.
Edit: Forgot the rating.[This review has been edited by MattW]
ehh Assasin it’s only 1 level so i think you didn’t even play ìt[This review has been edited by F!re]
Cool levels.
Not too hard and not too easy.
Download them
I’d say this is a good tileset. Especially since this is your first one.(I didn’t even expect first tilesets to look THiS good)It’s set in the right thene and doesn’t go off of it(If you know what i mean). I also like the example level.
I give this an 8.5 and a download recommendation.
It’s too easy :P I didn’t even die once.
Well, I think anything less than blindingly difficult to be too easy. So no points lost there :P
I think that you really need to adress the layout problems… I find using warps to move around tacky, and sucker tubes would have worked way better. I would also like to see some more routes going throughout the level, instead of one set path.
Otherwise, this level had a good variety of challenges, and enimies were used properly.
And the music IS unfitting. I also think that the kind of music used in this level should DIY! That’s more of a personal thing though.
It hasn’t got many enemies whaT?
it’s hard enough allready without the enemies. and the bolly boss isn’t waiting at all it immediatly attacks ya
Well, i certainly enjoyed it :)
This is a very good SP level by F!re, which uses the 7th Lava Fall set and custom music (naranja.xm, i don’t think Aiko will say this tune fits here ;)).
First, the eye candy:
The level has a pretty good background (the red fog and the buildings), altough i wish there was no Textured Background (i play in 8-bit you know). In the level the eye candy is pretty changy.
Level in general:
The level has some nice features, like looking for trigger crates. And the level is pretty long. There aren’t many enemies, so put some more in your next levels, F!re. The Bolly (Medivo boss) is waiting for you at the end, but F!re appearantly forgot the Limit X-scroll event.
Conclusion:
A download recommendation from me. I enjoyed playing this level and i know you will too :)

Too many levels! Not enough time to review them all!
Anyway, I actually agree with just about all of the other people here. The levels are good, just have some space.
Oh, and in level 1, There is some platforms to jump on, but you can also hop on the center block of each of the platforms (if you know what i mean) and get to the top. (I actually did that…)
Anyways, Good job, F!re.
I don’t know why, but there is something about this level that I don’t like. I think it is because I found it a bit too hard to move around in for a battle level. I would consider this to be an average level, but I gave it a slightly above average score because the level IS playable, and was still fun.
Well, To make a long story short here…
Mode Of Play: 0.5/1.0
Eyecandy: 5.0/5.0
Tileset: 2.0/2.0
Gameplay: 0.7/1.0
Music: 1.0/1.0
It’s a 9.2. ;)
This level was pretty good. The background rocked!Like Enigma said though
it is a little small for just a few people. To make a long story short well I will…
Eye Candy:good I epecially liked the water stuff near the bottom of the level.
Game Play:excellent
Tileset used:very good and very kuel indeed
This gets an 8.2 from me and also…
