Blue ice + purple snow + green trees=
Weird lvl!!

This lvl, has got OK gameplay but does have some dead ends and is very Lori unfriendly. There are also many other bugs but they’re masking bugs and it’s the tileset’s fault. Weapons placement is fine, but there’s only gun8, seekers and toasters which makes it quite boring. Variation is the key! ;-P

There are also some powerups in the wall (which you can’t get…) and a toaster powerup(which you can get with a warp) And… there are loads of milk around too, which is…er…nice…

Well, this is quite an average lvl Unhit and I really don’t think it’s your best so far. I’ll give it an 6.5 and a maybe for download recommendation. But still, good job Unhit and keep trying!

Cheers,

White Rabbit.

“…and once again, WR comes with his review later than late…” Oh well, nm. Let’s get on to the review…

WoW! This tileset is just fantastic! It’s got everything you need for a perfect nature tileset and it’s…guess what? Easy to use. (D the ground is beautifully textured with rocks, leaves, bushes and nice grass. ;) I also like those cool blood stained spikes. Creepy… There are (obviously) more than just grassy fields in this tileset. There are nicely decorated caves with cave paintings and (at least it looks like it for me) the earliest form of rabbit writing.

And…also, not to forget the stone statues of Jazz, which looks really neat, and also all the other stone blocks, which really give one the feeling, you’re in an ancient rabbit temple. However, the temple tiles don’t have that much eye candy. It would be nice if you added some carvings inside the stone and fire. (Like in Agama’s Egypt tilesets) But the temple part of the tileset does have some different toned stone pillars, which can be used for…er…various purposes. ; -P

Nature’s Ruins has also got all the necessary stuff for a proper tileset. Vines, V and H poles, sucker tubes, destruct blox, arrows to point you in the right direction, nice platforms (in forms of very nicely textured and detailed trees) and also blood stained spikes (I mentioned them in the earlier part of the review) and also my favourite tiles in this tileset: The shooting arrows. They are absolutely fabulous!! They may be hard to animate but the results are a big, single A big, fat +1.0 for that nice stuff. :-)

And then last but certainly not least, the background tiles. They are definitively not the best tiles in the tileset but at least they’re above average. The background itself is a kinda gooey blue (or something else…) and the mountain looks like something taken out of Bryce 2 (ah! Disguise did mention Bryce in the “Other Authors” section. Darn I’m smart! :-P) The rain is also…er…ok.

Well…

Er…

Just a sec!
1+2=??Aha!

Because it’s fantastic…I’ll give Nature’s Ruins a 9.5!

Download NOW.

Probably one of Cell’s worst lvls yet…
The lvl does have decent eyecandy and weapons placement but it’s quite emtpy and is a little boring. (Dunno why though) Some places are Jazz unfriendly and the fog/water/whatever at the bottom of the lvl is very confusing. Sry for this Cell, but I’m only giving this an 6.2.

Cool! Discofever! +0.2 for that! But however, the lvl isn’t THAT good at all. Let’s divide the review into sections as in the good old days shall we? ;-)

GAMEPLAY
Well, as we all know, Cell can make really confusing lvls with all sorts of tilesets, but I don’t think it’s possible with mirrow’s idiotsafe Discofever. The gameplay really rock (not more than the pyramids though) and there are no annoying obstacles. Instead, there are well placed platforms and right type of springs in the right place. In short, the gameplay is…good. :) But, however, there is a dead end at the roof of the hotel/discostudio/whatever and, once again, I strongly advise you to mask the corners of the lvl cause ppl tend to get stuck a split second when they run into them. Also, there are annoying background tiles and you can’t make out what tiles you can walk on, and what tiles you can’t. Try to fix that Cell, after all, Discofever is (in my opinion) idiotsafe. :)

EYECANDY
Eyecandy isn’t really this lvl’s strong point. There’s loads of lights and stuff and funky characthers dancing and some street stuff but that’s all. There is simply not enough eyecandy to satisfy me. Since there aren’t many lvls out there using Discofever as its tileset, I advise you to look at mirrow’s example and battle lvl and of course my battle lvl Disco Palace for some inspiration. With a little time, you should be able to fix the eyecandy Cell. Ah! And I like the trigger effects. ;-) Aaaaaand two more things: Make the background mountains move!!! And also, the pink moon doesn’t fit the sky, it’s background is grey and the sky is black. Use the white moon instead.

WEAPONS PLACEMENT
Moderate… There isn’t enough ammo. That’s the only bad point about it. Otherwise, weapons placement is ExcellenT.

OVERALL
Well, I’m sorry for this 6.7 Cell, but it just cannot get an higher rating from me. But since other ppl like it, I’ll give it an download recommendation anyway.

Cheers,

White Rabbit.[This review has been edited by White Rabbit]

WoW! Really cool! I especially like those houses and ninja rabbits. ;-) There’s also loads of other stuff like rain (let’s hope they work in background layers too), sucker tubes, pools of water, poles, vines, spikes, mountains and other neat Japanese stuff. But, the lvl does have some tiles from official tilesets like Carrotus and HH98 which lowers rating by 0.2.

7.0 and a download recommendation if y0u like Japan. ;-)

White Rabbit.

This lvl isn’t that bad! (Even though I’m giving this an 4.7.)

OK, let’s get started:
Hogland is quite a small battle lvl using the overused Carrotus tileset. It’s got good gameplay and weapons placement and I couldn’t find any bugs. The lvl however, does lack eyecandy and springs and some of the platforms are badly placed making this lvl most Jazz unfriendly. There isn’t anything special with the lvl too making it very boring. If you could just add some fun stuff like MCEs/SCEs, flippers, poles and more eyecandy and fix the Jazz unfriendlyness, my rating could easily be raised to an 6.7

But for now on, this lvl only deserves an 4.7 and no download recommendation either.

Cheers,

White Rabbit.
