This level is the best battle level I have seen by u, it could still be better though. Firstly, the trees, open up Hell.j2l, and have a look at how they do the trees, you should make it more than just the one animating tile. The water event needs to be spread all around the Start pos ( open up beach2.j2l) Apart from that, the level is file, but it could do with some more tiles, such as some branches on the trees, and maybe some more platforms, you could make it so that when u climb the tree, when u get to the top, you can get some different ammos, or maybe even some powerups. In the water, u could put a carrot somewhere, or some different ammo, I suggest that instead of going on and making another level, you work on this level abit longer, until people start giving it a rating above 3 or 4,
This level is a nice looking, easy to move around in, CTF level. There arn’t any eye candy errors that I could see, well, not any that can be fixed with this tileset, the level feels like a real CTF level, because by using the blue and red colours, and not the green or purple, it makes the level feel like your in each others teritory. I prefure levels that some how indicate that half of the level belongs to your team, and the other belongs to the other. In normal CTF levels, I find that people seem to just have 2 little rooms at 2 edges of the level and nothing else is colour coded.
The level is easy to move around in, good ammo placement, the only thing I don’t like is that the blue base has the seeker powerup very close to it, and the red base has only the boucy powerup, to make this more even, I think you should swap the bouncy powerup with the 3way powerup, that is at the bottom of the level somewhere. It would just make it more fair!
Well, I think thats summoned it up, its an ‘easy to move around in’ level using a ‘hard to use’ tileset called ‘Neonius’ by Bluez

A very nice level, abit hard to get to each of the bases though, its not as easy as just running to base to base, u sort of have to find your way without using the arrow.
The eye candy is fantastic, good use of the tiles, the music matches ( When I posted ETs Planet2 on j2o, I think I forgot to include the music file which was unworld2.s3m, and that was a sort of heavy metal music, with some sound of machinery in it, I copied the music from Unreal Tournament)
The level isn’t squarey, which is one thing I really like about the level, the only thing I don’t like about the level is the animation of the vines, I think you animated them to fast…the animations of the vines moving were ment to be slow, so u only noticed it when you’re standing still, it sort of makes the whole level feel like its moving, and the vines are alive, and are gonna attack u, like that other decapitated rabbit that u walked past, it adds to the evilness, but I guess in CTF, your moving around trying to get the flag, so you never actually stand still and have a look at some tiles, so I guess the animation playing at a speed of 10 fps is ok
Anyway, I give this level an 8.5
This is a good level, not toooo easy, but not too hard, even though I died once ( with one heart left, I jumped to get to the checkpoint, missed, and got bitten by a fish, and I died ) The level isn’t too big, but isn’t too small, the level is well balanced, the eye candy is ok, but not anything extrordanary, the enemy placement is good, average, but could do with afew more! Um, the level could do with a name like, um, The Wabbits of the Aztec, or somthing completely original like, Aztec lev1 :p
I always rate tilesets by not just eye candy, but originality, and effort in tiles, the difference between this tileset and the improved version, is that it has more of a variaty in tiles, it has spider webs, and bones, and big bones, A plant with a mouth, a few spikes ( could do with some blood on them ;P ), and the funny thing is, I like the eyes in this set, more than the other set, they are more evil :p
The other thing I like about this tileset is that it has diagal ceiling tiles, which the upgraded tileset didn’t have, making it look more squary :p This tileset has heaps of little extra things that make this tileset, better ( not in eye candy ) than the upgraded version of this,
1- it has arrows, unlike the other
2- more decoration tiles
3- cavey tiles ( even though they’re yellow :p )
4- has a hooks
I wish that there were some V or H poles in the set though :p Neither has any!

Ok, Ok, um, this CTF level takes advantage of the slopes in Blades forest tileset, which I really like, one think I have noticed that people seem to do in level, is have really steap slopes, they are ok in game play, but I find that they don’t look natural, but if there are no other forms of slopes in the tileset, its ok. The level is very easy to move around, but I don’t like the idea of not having to jump at all to get to each of the bases, but its sort of ok in this level, because if you’re low in health, you have to find your way out of the Cavern to the full energy carrot. The level doesn’t take very long to learn, so it’s good on the internet when people are joining the game in the middle of a match, and have to play against people who know where everthing is.
I also love the eye candy at the bottom of the level, where you decorate the ground with platforms and stuff, I use to do that :p, I still have those old 3d looking levels on my old computer, I’ll go in search of them in a minute. Um ( thinks of somthing else to say) Oh, there are also no secrets in the level, or fun dead ends where you can ambush them, and they don’t stand a chance :( Apart from that, and the level being abit too easy to get to base to base, I give this level an 8. Um, I think thats all, oh, one last thing:
When are you gonna release that CTF level you said you made with ETs Planet2, if you have already released it, could you tell me what level id it is so I don’t have to go in search of it through this website, which can take awhile :(

These levels are ok in medium, but if you want a real challenge, play this level in hard. There are 40 ravens and crabs waiting for you in areas of these levels. Some of the levels however, I find are abit hard to see where the end area is, like that one where you finish by touching the shell. In easy, its abit too easy, like at the start, he gives you 200 lives :) I am glad to see another jazz2 fan using the Easy – Hard things in levels, it makes it more profesional, even if he went abit overboard. I think the levels are fun to play but the eye candy could be alot better. The level I don’t like however is the one where you fight the turtle in Carrottus, you forgot to whipe layer 3, and if you fall, there are no warps down the bottom to save you, or no hurts to kill you! A simple jjk fixes that through, but its not very profesional. Anyway, if you like playing challenging levels, I recomend you download this, and try playing it in HARD!!!!
I give this level a 3.7 because of being able to play in easy and hard.
These are cleary quallity levels that look like they would play nicely on the internet. They are easy to move around in, the eye candy is good, there are afew minor errors where if you look carfully, a few tiles don’t quite match, but you don’t really notice that. The CTF level is cool, I like the idea of a huge waterfall, and the music matches it. I also noticed there are a few new tiles in the tileset, such as cracks, ladders, buttons, a few things like that. In the first battle level, the part were you go into the white cavey thing, I find its abit hard to see, but that doesn’t matter. The second battle level, contains lots of trees, I felt like a money alien :) the CTF level contains a chat room :( but I don’t really mind, the only thing I don’t like about the CTF level is, its easier to get the red flag than it is to get the blue flag, but since you have to loop around the level to each, base, it doesn’t really matter.
I haven’t got LWE because its too big for me to download, my speed is like 1 mb for 15 min :(
Anyway, I recomend you download this, I don’t know why this tileset wasn’t renamed though, I though it would have become version 1.3.2.2 or somthing.

This is a great level using Agamas latest tileset, there are heaps of secrets, lots of ammo, Fantasic eye candy, and overall a great level
I once made a level with this tileset, but it was much smaller :)
Anyway, I give this a 8.7, and I recomend you download this NOW, stop reading the reviews, and click download! :p

Glad to see so many reviews in one day. Anyway, I know there are a few errors, like if you go too close to a tree, you die and the ski marks make it look like you hadn’t got that close to it. You see, unlike Jazz Jackrabbit, Multimedia Fusion ( same as CnC ) doesn’t have a mask on the backgrounds (aka tiles) I sort of made one for the rocks, because they are more important, by having a solid tile over the non-solid tile, but just being smaller. Um, no where in the text file does it say you can make your own levels Violet, but if enough people ask me, I might be able to make afew more levels, or might be able to make a kit, including all the Jazz animations for the people who have MMF or CnC. I haven’t got any music in the game because of memory problems, it use to be 6 mb, I saved 1 mb by getting rid of some music, and 2 by shortening the intro ( doesn’t have Devan going down the rabbit hole and grabbit Jazzes gun, and Jazz waking up in shock )
I made the game challenging, so it takes a little longer than 5 minutes to complete. Also, read the help file, it doesn’t mean your a loser, it just helps for a few simple things
Oh, one last thing, I do know how to have it so you don’t collect coins on jumps, but I find it makes the game too hard to get 300 coins for the Holiday Hare Bonus level ( I’ll happily give you the password for that level if you really need it ! )

Um, I guess you can only go back to the main menu after being in the unlock cheats area by either pressing F2 or Going to the menu at the top of the screen, and clicking on Jazz Ski Rabbit, then back to menu. This is the equivilent to ‘Restart Application’ :p
I should have but a ‘back to menu’ button in the unlock cheats area so its easier to get back.

I’ve updated the image, because a few people have been finding it hard to see the web address, The new image has the address in white in a black background at the bottom of the cover, not shaded, not thick, nice and thin and easy to read :)

This tileset is confusing to me. Get a nice place in the level where this is a tree, and look into the background. Look at the textures of the trees in the background compaired to the trees in the foreground. It doesn’t really matter that much, but I find that the trees in the background look more real, than the ones in the foreground. It doesn’t really matter that much, but I prefure the forground to look more real than the background, those leaves in the forground look abit too, I don’t know, in straigh lines. It just looks abit strange, maybe they are Weeping Willow Trees or somthing. But they look odd. The huge statue of Jazz is cool, like the rabbits were once the ruler of this temple, and the rest of this tileset is wicked, I love the use of layer 3, with the rocks on the ground, just like in the jungle :), I think that this is one of the best tilesets Disguise has ever made, oh wait, 2nd best, I love the Spacey one better, but thats just because I’m an alien :)
Anyway, I give this tileset and 8.5 for these reasons
10 – masking
8 – eye candy ( about things being real or not
7- animation ( only the arrows )
9- accessories
lets see, (10+8+7+9)/4= 8.5

Ok, this is my new way of ranking tilesets, This tileset will start off with 10 points, and I will remove points by everything that is wrong with the tileset

-1 There are heaps of blank spaces
-2 There is no diagnal tiles
-1 The palette isn’t very nice looking, colours arn’t in a particualar order
-2 The backgrounds arn’t very good
-3 no fore ground or back ground stuff, eg, mountains, rivers, that sort of stuff
That equals 1, so far
+1 it has stuff like vines, destructive blocks, etc
+1 The tileset has a mask
+1 A nice variaty of colours
+0.5 I think those ladders are cool, keep the masking so that each step of the ladder, jazz hangs on, but you should make the bits thinner in the mask. Its ok when the ladder is a vine, but when its a hook, you have to really hit the jump button about 6 times just to go up 1 tile.
Ok, thats gives an overall of 4.5
This is one of the most original levels I have seen for a long time. The tileset may be made of ripped tiles from Dethmans tileset, 7th Lava falls, quite afew of the tiles from that were off Unreal and Unreal Tournament (another Epic game). The background could have been better, I take off some points for that. The images of rabbits on skateboards were good I have to admit, I think one of the pics is from when Jazz gets out a carrot :)
The level is cool with the grind poles, and the jumps (whatever they are called). The effect of jumping and the board not following looks good because it seems like you’ve jumped off the board (I’ve forgotten what that is called). I think you have missed afew tiles though, such as the dotted ones :), they look ok in some ways, but when your a frog, they are a major error.
Thats about all I can think about to review this on, oh, and I think your choice of boss at the end was exellent :)[This review has been edited by ET]
Wow, This tileset is beautiful. It almost makes me want to be there. I think the way you changed the palette is good as well, exept I don’t really like Jazz and Spaz in brown, but I guess they have mud on them :). I also love the bushes with the paws leaping out, and the eyes that apear and look around, and the little head that pokes out of the bushes. It may be decoration, but it just adds to the originality of the tileset. The tiles are beautifully drawn, the pallet is made like epics, but there is only one thing stopping me giving this tileset a 10. Play it in low detail. I think a true tileset, you shouldn’t have to use layer 5 if it can be avoided.
You have no shadow tiles linking to the light tiles so you can’t have tile connections without the use of layer 5. Sorry, but thats the only weakness I can see. The reast of the tileset is FANTASTIC
Sorry about the delay in reviewing this tileset. I sort of had taken a brake and playing Jazz2 and moved onto other stuff, like making games. Anyway, I have seen this tileset before and I though it was exellent. It covers a variaty of tileset. Its colourful/colorful (Australian – American) and allows you to make a variety of levels. The music sort of doesn’t match each level, but when you put all the levels together, it sort of does. Anyway, these are my awards in the tileset
Best texture – Mountains
Most original animation – the ant hole
And I also love the way that you can change the periods of the day and stuff. I give this tileset an 8.453432958305839 :) And since I can’t select that, I’ll give it an 8.5. An extra 0.046567041694161, and to think I get a b in maths ;)

I gave the eye candy 10 because I think the level looks fantastic. The movement is bad because in slops, I can walk in mid air. If you make an improvement on these levels, look at your level in mask because for some reason, to the side of the slope tile in the tileset, there is a solid tile. That sort of took away points for level design.

Sorry Catz, but Cells right. Compared to the conversions that he’s done, this isn’t a very good one. Some of the tiles arn’t lined up so the edge of something looks like an edge, instead of a bump. I suggest you try taking afew more screen shots so you can make this tileset’s score go up abit more :)
PS: I think the idea of adding the ememies to the tileset is cool, maybe try to take some shots of them animating. It might look good if you had the enemies on layer 5, and using the X speed layer movement, have it so it looks like the enemies are walking.
I was suppost to include that Planet1v2 ctf had a password on the level because it took me a while to make it and I didn’t want people removing my name and such. There are some evil rabbits out there, EVIL, EVIL!!!! :) Anyway, I’ll let you crack the password by giving you some clues, white rabbit :)
