I think its good that someone made a demo of how to complete QOB. I suggested that in my review of macros :). If you don’t want to download it, don’t. Its just the level is HUGE and some people might need to know where a trigger is or somthing, its like a tutorial.

Someday I’ll have to change my user name to ET, not et…..

Anyway, I love the tileset, It has a mezzy sort of look along with 3d tiles ( like leSmashes Psuedo 3d and afew other tilesets that have the illusion of dept :). I also like the way that you have the same tiles, exept smaller to use as a background. I also think the textured background is very well drawn, it doesn’t look as good when you turn textured backgrounds off, but when its set to the 3d look, it has a very smooth touch :). I suck at drawing 3d backgrounds, they always look sharp instead of smooth :(

Cool, he’s still ‘floppy ears with a big gun (jazz1 quote)’ and with the bullets that that gun fires, the 3d celled Devan won’t know what hit him :) I don’t know why you used 14 frames, You could have got away with it using about 3 frames, if the bullets where fired in a pattern, like: – – – – -
and got it so when the first bullet was where the 2nd bullet was, get it to loop. Like when making animations in Jazz2 levels :)

wwwwwoooooowwwwwwwww

This is a huge improvement from your first tileset, Ultimate World :). I’m glad to see that you still kept the ‘wide range of different tiles’ stype in this tileset. I can’t beleave you reduced that to 161 colours, I’m amazed, I wouldn’t mind using that palette program to fix up ETs Planet3, I’ve managed to somehow use up 1029 colours when all I have done is the submarine, which is blue…. we all live in a blllllue submarine :) Anyway I’m glad to see a wellmade quallity tileset. I luv the way you’ve made the whole tileset have extra red and blue tiles, it makes it good for making CTF levels and shows you where the base is. Well, I can’t really think of much more to say…….oh, also, did you use a plug in called Blade pro for some of the tiles?

Well, the tileset is ok, in terms of it has alot of tiles and, er… characters. Its just it isn’t really your tileset is it. You’ve taken tiles from other tilesets such as Carrotus and Jungle1, and those RPG character are probably from other games. The tileset has a mask, but it isn’t fantastic, the grass is still bumpy, and the characters don’t have a full block of a mask ( you might be able to get stuck in them ). I like the water fall, but since it looks as though the tiles were 16 by 16 but streched (like a dos game) I can’t really give you heaps of credit for it because it looks like its been ripped from another game. Also the palette isn’t very good, The tiles from Jazz2 have lost alot of colours.

The good things about the tileset is its colourful, and big. A good variaty of tiles to create levels with more than 1 theme to them, etc.

I think that these levels are nice and fresh. They are original, challenging (not like the normal battle levels) and could make you want to play them for more than afew minutes. I like the music, the only problem I can think of is the eye candy. I think that these levels could do with afew more decorations.

Hmm, this tileset reminds me of somthing, What is it…….. oh, I know, pipes. Ever since I was a little alien I have been fond of pipes. I think that this tileset is nicely made because even though its gey, it has some colour in it so it doesn’t look like you’ve used a grey pallet!

The only thing I think is strange is the background. You have changed the pallet so you can have a textured background but yet the sky tiles are already drawn as though they have been textured already. Strange, but cool.

yeah, I can’t play it either, Magoo uploaded it wrong the 2nd time :p

The solution is to download the tileset from Blades Battle Pack ( I hope its in there) because other people seem to have the tileset ( they must have got it from somewhere)

Yes Unknown rabbit, that’s me, I’ve returned. Also the CTF level was just to show people how the level layout is supposed to be e.g. The mountains on layer 6 and 5 and the space ships, UFO’s and such on layer 7. I guess I went over board with V poles in the example level :) oh well, everyone makes mistakes.

RE: White rabbit

Oops, I must have forgotten to click on the save button when I changed the password. I’ll try re – uploading the zip file onto this page. Sorry for the mistake :(

If anyone wants this level with the correct password, say so and I will email it to you.

I’m sorry about the V and H poles, I forgot that they didn’t need to have a mask unlike vines. Anyway, I’ve finished ETs Planet2, the V and H poles don’t have a mask and the tileset is, well….. a green planty type. I have a huge story line about it :). Anyway, I’ll upload it when the servers have moved. Also the level is a remake of Battle1, I just felt like remaking Battle1 for fun

Man I wish I could post more than 1 message. Ok, I have made ETs Planet1v3 :). It contains some more dark tiles, for a purple cave and the alien buildings. I have also added a sky and some more green stuff, a hook, fixed the V n H poles and made 5 example levels :p, better than the other stupid level I made. 1 CTF, 3 battle, 1 story level :)
I have included some nice looking letters I made so you can do messages and stuff as well, it includes afew symbols as well. Thats about all I’m gonna tell you now, btw, try using the green stuff like the acid and acid water fall in warped mode, it looks nice :). I have maded a level thats like in the ocean. Its quite effective and doesn’t use real water (event). Anyway, I will release it when I’ve finished off the levels :)[This review has been edited by et]

Hi, after I played this level pack, I though it was fantastic. The tilesets were properly made, good lengthed level/s and I though the mummy was cool. My only improvement suggestions are that the mummies looked like they were made of stone, so maybe you should have put some lines on them to make it look more like straps, and 1 of the puzzels, the crate one, I though was too hard, maybe I failed to find a clue to it, but I killed myself about 50 times until I got to the right crate. Apart from that, I think its the best levelpack I’ve ever played

btw, I though the credits were effective. much better than the QOB ones.

Hi, I’m back from Zeriaus ( my home planet )

I think this level ( before I edited it ) was one of the best levels I had ever seen. It set a good example on how to use the Carrottus tileset. Sadly I have forgotten the password for it :(.

Btw Magoo, what mistakes did I leave in there, I though I had fixed them all up. Oh dear, what if I lose my part-time job of being a beta tester : -( [This review has been edited by et]
