Not bad at all! I see a few mistakes though, but great level!
My only problem is that there’s not enough ammo, and too many powerups. Also I like vines.
Still, a good level overall.
Amazing again, Martin.
The design and eye candy is very nice for the set, used it perfectly.
I do think that the level is kinda big, which creates two problems.
1. Makes CTF games not too fun, unless with at least 15 or so people.
2. It takes forever to learn the level. I find sometimes it’s fun if you can’t learn the level, rather than taking forever to learn inside and out.
Also, the springs on the walls below the Bonus are annoying and pointless.
Anyways, still used the set perfectly.
Download now!
Definitely my favorite TSF levels/pack.
Good rating needed indeed! :)
FelineAn extremely well made level.
Very good use of the layers and the Carrotus tileset. A good selection of weapons for battle, that are well placed around the level.
Movement upwards can be a little chalanging, but overall this is an excelent level.
This was the first custom level to be hosted on the Battle Server.
"Carrotus Squash" is another attempt by martin to make the perfect level. And really: you won’t find any bugs in this battle level. martin actually is a level scientist. He spends hours and hours hunting for the smallest design or tile bugs.
The design is awesome and makes it very playable. Eyecandy and weapon placement are very good, too.
Unfortunately, this level has nothing that usually gives me a reason to rate it 9 (which is, as you may know, my highest rating so far) like great selfmade custom tilesets, a large amount of levels in a pack or, very important, exceptional creativity! Oh and by the way, and i still like 5 Alive best. Town definitely beats Carrotus :-)
Nevertheless i respect martin as one of the most dedicated levelmakers ever. He shows what is possible with Epic tilesets.
And of course, i recommend to DOWNLOAD "Carrotus Squash" immediately.
One of the best levels submitted on this site!!!
well done!
P.S You can make a easter version of this level! but chaging the tilset to Easter
Whoop! Go martin!
I felt Ice and TnT could only get in the way of useful weapons in battle
as for Electro Blaster most of the eye candy was done in the 3rd layer
and it would only show the gap’s in-between layers.
I would like to say that this is the last level I sent to Jazz2city before
it closed a great site so I’d like to dedicate this level to them.
And also to ET who helped me with the Beta, yes it was finished in time. :)
Nothing to add. Allright, weapons you should put more.
One word… Whow! Amazing work.
Well, one thing, it needs just a bit more by the way of weapons..
wooh!
man martin, someday you’re bound to make a bad level….. nah, never mind.
This is a MUST has!
I don’t have any problem with sparse(sp?) ammo, it makes a level more challenging. No weirdos shooting their 99 seeker ammo empty on ya. :P
Very awesome level, martin!
Has great layout and no eyecandy errors.
Only reason why this isn’t a 10 is because it’s not alot of ammo in it.
Great job, keep it up!
Awesome,
this level rules all da way..
why a 10er? because i love the layout and those weapons? they are yust fine.. (ala Cliffy!)
hmm. ya should contact Jeh or DethMan for a Job at Mystic Legends =)
W00! AWESOME Level!
I was one of the beta testers from the original version of this, so I’ve known it’s coolness for quite some time.
My only complaint was the fact that it has too few weapons, but oh well. Good job marin. :-)
Yes this is really great. Eyecandy, placement, layer use. Some more weapons would be nice but that doesn’t really matter generally. The size is good (not too small). Some bridges, yes overall a perfect level.
This shows how JCS should be used :-)
ROX :) Heh !!!! This really shows how carrottus should be used. Climb up for yer powerups in this huge battle level.
This is a MUST !
Lots of routes possible in the levels, and the eye candy is exceptional.
