Heh, Second one to post, but first one to review

Wow, 6 tilesets, cool.
OK, unfortunately that its released just before I released my tileset, hope mine will not suffer from low ratings due to this masterpiece. :)
Normally I am a bit biased in a negative way towards disquises tilesets because they mainly consist of computer effects. But this pack is awesome, I’ll let the long reviews to others, I’ll just make some comments:
Winterland Wonder
Great tileset, no comment
Space Warbase
Unoriginal theme, ok, but cool tileset
Townsville 2
Townsville was IMO a ugly but very happy tileset, and this one is as happy as his predescesor (wrong spelled), but way more beautiful, its like the computurised version of townsville 1 with extras!
Unreal Imagination
A very cool tileset, its a sort of mix between disquises space tilesets and some mezzie things, vey cool!
Raging Inferno
good graphics, but yea thats the computer prog (ok, partly). Not enough variation IMO, and not enough eyecandy extra stuff.
Tarzan’s Treetops
Fresh, light, fun, but boring after 30 secs.

So overall: more eyecandy needed in some tilesets..

Actually, I disagree with both reviews. The background is nice, but too simple. The other things except the computer animated tiles are way too simple. No texture at all, just one color with a black line surrounding it, the shapes are nice, but thats not enough for a good tileset. Also there are no eyecandy things and the layer 6 & 7 things are, well, a bit ugly IMO.
But it sure is worth more than a 2.2

So here, a 5.2 .

And, well, there is no real background, just four colours to choose from.
The graphics of the blocks are good, but its too boring, no eyecandy at all and the letters are just white letters who dont fit with the rest of the tileset.
So, or more eyecandy (but then it would be one of the 100 block tilesets, (100 is 99 too many)) or just choose a real theme, and then one wich hasent been chosen before.
Because, the graphics ARE good, you just need an original idea, I think you could make a (very) decent tileset then.[This review has been edited by Piccolo aka SoulFire]

The only thing I liked about this tileset were the Jazz’s and Spaz’s coming out of the icons, but It is way to small, you cant do enough with it.

First of all: nice tileset.
Its built out of grey blocks and computers and stuff.
And this is like the 1000st one with that theme. And I must say that its very boring IMO.

BUT there is some cool layer 6 + 7 stuff and more eyecandy and extra stuff than in those other ‘computer-blocks’ tilesets.
So if you like those tilesets with grey boring blocks and computers (for the text event), than choose this one because it has more than that.

Now I look at it again, the cables and the stuff over there are very well done, so: This is the best ‘computer-blocks’ (I dont know another name for it) tileset!

Nice tileset, but small and VERY simple.
The clouds and the rain are a bit ugly and the blue blocks are waay to simple. The mez-like walkings grounds (dunno how to say it) and the mountains are nice, but its all very simple.
Next time, include more eyecandy, extra tiles and make the tiles less boring by adding textures or something like that.

For your first tileset well done tho!

Cool tileset,
its an alein ;p homeland, and that means that the ground is brown with some green grass and some stones, oh yea, and an alien.
It’s a nice tileset, but waaay too small.
Um..thats it.
D/L recommendation ONLY if you love very small tilesets and like aliens, because else you can just (better) use (example) blades grassland or something..

The blocks are a bit simple but thats ok, cool beasts and, uhm…
I actually dont believe that you’ve made the background with paint..
Btw, why do you upload it in 1.23 when you havent made the tileset with 1.23.
Just d/l the 1.23 patch, install it, and compile your tilesets in 1.23-JCS.. it’s very simple…

This is a great set, its a snowy landscape (Ice Age, ice….snow, understand? ;)
with various animals in it like a Mammoth (thats a great one, very VERY cool), a deer (a reindeer), a wolve and a Prehistoric Rhino (dunno how to say the real name in English), all of them have a (little) animation in ‘em, wich is very well done. I also looove the trees in the back, some with snow, some without. Also, there are some cave paintings, a cave man, and a small hut.
The background is too simple, only a blue tile, that could have been done better. Also the mountains in layer 7 are simple and the ground is a bit simple too.
But, concluding, its a great tileset with some simple things (background, normal ground) in it, but also very beautiful/funny/cool things in it (all the animated animals, the trees).
Absolutely a Download Recommendation (is that spelled ok?).
And the rating.. uhmm..8.2 I guess, ain’t sure…

Guess nobody will ever see this review, because everybody has this tileset for ages (including me). But though:
Great, but hard to use. Because the tileset is overall so great only -0.3 for the hard-to-useness.

This is another great tileset by blade. It has cool background things like a spacestation with a ufo, etc. Only some times the perspective on the ground isnt right. The texture on the stones is better (I think) than on Blades previous sets and uhm… thats it.
An 8.7 from me.

WoW!
First the Corrupted Sanctuary tileset is a great castle tileset, sometimes you get a deja vu from epics castle tileset, but this one is so cool! It has a 3d-ish look and.. ehm.. well, just read defalcons review.
The Alien Space Lab by FQuist is also cool, but not as cool as Corrupted Sanctuary. Its a spacey green tileset, but a bit simple I guess if you know the right effects on your drawing prog. It has all kinds of messages in it like: “You will be assimilated!” and “We are the Borg!” etcetera.
A big 9.2 from me!

A VERY small tileset, very simple and it gets boring after a (little) while, you could have made some eyecandy or something to make the tileset less boring. But.. the pipes are simple but good, I mean they look good, but its just a too small and a too simple (not much variation) tileset.

First of all Nitro, I don’t consider myself a newbie, I play Jazz online for a year and I am a year on J2O and the JCF too, only I’ve started to review and post just a couple of weeks ago. I’m not an ‘oldie’ but I don’t consider myself a newbie either, but even if you do it doesnt mean that i cant review. I don’t have to play a tileset a whole day to see if its boring. And Roseta gives the same rating as me and Violet even lower than mine and you dont say that they can’t review or something. So don’t judge me or my review because you think I am a newbie.

Great tileset man! The bones are great and the metal blocks also, there are cool things like a skull with glowing eyes, dripping blood, skeleton hands, etc. The only thing I don’t like are the mountains for the backgound layer, they are bladeish, but with less quality…:(

I really dont like the tileset, it looks like its drawn in 10 seconds and someone perforated (is that correct english?) all tiles with hearts.

is true then i dont know if i should rate it. There aint a sign in the tileset that you made it (not that thats necessary) and there is a textsign and you didnt used that too. (ok, that arent proofs but i’ll see if piz is correct

This is not a really good test lvl, I finished it very fast and i got stuck at the wind test. a 6.2 from me.
